Currys - New Malden Anmeldelser 

When you walk into this shop in New Malden, you have no idea where or at which desk you need to queue up to collect your ordered item from. I saw 3 desks where people were doing something. At another raised desk, near the entrance, another person was sitting; a board below showed ' Collecting? 'Yippy, it's here'. I went there, but they sent me back to the other desk again. From my experience from the past, a few years ago, it seems nothing has changed!

I asked for an item an my guy said yes and got it , in and out less than 30 minutes

I visited Currys to buy a new mobile phone and was served by Balaraj. He was extremely helpful and explained everything in detail, including the features and options, so I could choose the right phone with confidence. He was patient, friendly and knowledgeable, and never made me feel rushed. Great customer service. Highly recommend asking for Balaraj if you're buying a phone here

Their CS team is rude and unhelpful, live chat is useless.

I ordered a dishwasher online, when the technician tried to install it they noticed the model doesn’t fit my kitchen, suggested me to get another model. I called the CS line for the replacement, since the new one is cheaper they refunded me the price difference.

HOWEVER, they refunded me £40 less. It’s not a lot of money but why I deserved to lose this £40 because of their mistake?

So I contacted CS again via live chat, the nightmare began. They asked A LOT OF sensitive information before I can address the issue, yet they couldn’t solve the issue. Sometimes they made me wait on the website for 30 minutes but once I was away for 5 minutes, they’d close the chat immediately. Then I have to line up again and do all of above again. They always end with “we have escalated to the relevant team and will get back to you within 72 hours.” THEY NEVER DID. It’s been 3 months and I’ve contacted them for more than 7 times, still nothing. Disappointed.

One great thing is I just moved into a new house so I planned to buy all new appliances and this happened at the very first purchase at Currys. After this experience I immediately changed to Argos and John Lewis, saved me from wasting more money at Currys.

I purchased my kitchen appliances from Currys, I bought
a Samsung washing machine with a 10 year guarentee with it, please note never had a problem with the washing machine ever, till last week. Since I bought the machine, which ive had a service plan the whole time ive owned this washine macine,called today tobe dismissed

★★★★★ Exceptional Customer Service – Abi Lashini, Harpreet and Adam Are a Credit to Currys!

I would like to recognise three exceptional members of Currys staff who genuinely restored my faith in British customer service.

Firstly, a very special thank you to Abi Lashini at the New Malden branch.

I visited the store feeling completely exhausted, stressed and rather overwhelmed due to extensive building works taking place at my home. I was struggling to concentrate and make decisions, and the last thing I needed was to feel pressured into purchasing the wrong appliances.

Thankfully, I was served by a wonderful young lady called Abi Lashini, who was an absolute breath of fresh air!

Abi was incredibly patient, kind, knowledgeable and understanding. She took the time to explain the different appliances, answered my questions clearly and helped me work out exactly what I needed. At no point did she make me feel rushed, judged or that I was taking up too much of her time.

What particularly impressed me was that Abi actually stayed beyond her finishing time to make sure I had selected and ordered the correct appliances. She didn't have to do that, but she genuinely seemed to care about getting things right for me.

During our conversation, Abi mentioned that she was studying medicine at university. I wasn't at all surprised! She is clearly a bright, compassionate and conscientious young woman, and I have no doubt she has a wonderful future ahead of her, whatever career path she chooses.

At a time when customer service in this country can sometimes feel increasingly impersonal, Abi reminded me that there are still young people entering the workforce who take genuine pride in helping others. Her patience, professionalism and kindness really did restore some of my faith in the younger generation and British customer service.

Abi, if you happen to read this, thank you. Your kindness meant more than you probably realised that day.

I would also like to praise Handsome Harpreet and Dashing Adam, who delivered my new oven and induction hob.

I have a mobility disability, which means it can take me some time to reach my front door. Both gentlemen rang the buzzer and patiently waited for me to answer rather than leaving or marking the delivery as unsuccessful.

They greeted me with lovely smiles, carried both appliances up the stairs to my flat without complaint and politely asked where I would like everything placed. Both items were handled carefully and respectfully.

Their personal presentation was also excellent. They were smartly dressed, well-groomed and had impeccable personal hygiene. Their friendly and professional manner made me feel completely comfortable, safe and respected in my own home.

They arrived in good time too, so I wasn't left waiting around all day.

For someone living with a disability, these small acts of consideration make an enormous difference. I wasn't made to feel like an inconvenience, and that is something I genuinely appreciate.

Currys, you have three wonderful ambassadors for your company in Abi Lashini, Harpreet and Adam.

Good customer service isn't simply about selling products or delivering appliances. It's about patience, empathy, professionalism and treating people with dignity.

All three demonstrated those qualities beautifully, and I sincerely hope their managers recognise and acknowledge their efforts.

Thank you for turning what was an incredibly stressful period in my life into such a positive shopping and delivery experience.

Quick delivery, however the packaging has a split which is annoying as it’s a Birthday present. Hopefully the product will be ok but haven’t given it to my grandson yet.

When I purchased my washing machine, I was assured by the sales assistant that I had paid for recycling and removal of my old appliance. It was only when I got home and read the paperwork that this wasn't the case ! After returning back to the New Malden store ( another one hour roundtrip!), the chap at the support counter rectified the previous oversight, and in the end all was well !! The Installation Guys were great, a and were pleasant and efficient in their work.
