Really disappointing experience, particularly because the venue itself is beautiful.

We moved from the conservatory to the outside decking as it was hot and noisy and we had two dogs with us. Staff told us it was the same menu, just ordered via QR code, but failed to mention the bizarre rule that all food ordered outside – nibbles, starters and mains – comes out at the same time. Apparently this is written at the very bottom of the QR menu, but something this unusual should be made clear before ordering, particularly when we specifically asked staff about eating outside.

After around 20 minutes we still had no drinks, yet virtually all our food arrived at once – with no cutlery. While the food sat getting cold, we spoke to the supervisor and then three different waitresses about our missing drinks. It took four separate requests to finally receive them, and when they arrived, the order was wrong anyway.

Several dishes had to be sent back because they were cold, including two mains that arrived later and were also cold.

What really ruined the experience, however, was the supervisor's attitude. She was blunt, defensive and hostile rather than apologetic or helpful, and at one point actually put her hand up to stop one of us speaking. We were made to feel like we were the problem rather than customers experiencing genuinely poor service.

Mistakes happen – I’ve worked in hospitality myself – but it’s how you deal with them that matters. A simple apology and a friendly attempt to resolve things would have completely changed the situation. Instead, there was very little acknowledgement of what had gone wrong or meaningful gesture of goodwill.

The outside ordering policy also desperately needs reviewing or, at the very least, clearly communicating to customers before they order. Never in my life have I encountered a rule where nibbles, starters and mains are deliberately served simultaneously just because you’re sitting outside.

Beautiful venue, but unfortunately the poor organisation and particularly the supervisor’s lack of customer-service skills completely spoiled our experience. We won’t be returning.

We went for dinner a week ago @ Streatley, there were 4 of us. The service was terrible 2 1/2 hours to be served a three course meal, drinks were slow, food even slower. Staff doing their best, but understaffed: they had a wedding reception going on, so obviously that needed to be catered for. Love the ambience and location but, very disappointed, not the first time, I've experienced this.

Lovely decoration and nice ambiance friendly staff. The food was terrible, my Chicken meal I returned as it was cold replaced my meal within five minutes when I cut the chicken it wasn't cooked through returned again and I said I would leave it. Overprice for poor quality and sustained food, I wouldn't recommend or go again. They did take one bottle of wine off the bill.

Totally over-priced sub-standard food. The courgette tart was simply a layer of puff pastry with slices of courgette on top. The pastry was not even cooked well and hard to cut through. Only good part was the service.

I visited Guildford and Goring restaurants in the past few weeks -seriously these places may look the business but they certainly are not. The chicken dishes are fatty and rather tasteless, fish and burgers mediocre. Way overpriced for what you get. Drinks too expensive.
I won’t be going to another one!

Disappointed -with food and the high price for lunch yesterday.
Tables cramped, seats could do with a clean - when we got our starter to share the food was tasteless- ie the goat cheese, then my main, a chicken schnitzel was over cooked so sent it back, reordered a different dish of linguine which was at least tasty. Flies kept buzzing around us - not very pleasant and we were inside, too hot to eat in the outside 'igloos'.
So overall not the best. On the plus side our waitress was polite.

The Sunday breakfast we ordered, dry scrambled eggs, overcooked poached eggs, cold coffee, pancakes the best bet for breakfast. Slow but pleasant service.
Good ambience which is worth nothing if the food is
inferior

Slow service. Average food.
15 minutes for a single beer at 11.45. Hardly peak lunch time.
Then table of 20, half had finished their meal before others were served.
Burger over cooked.
You’re in hospitality & a service industry. It’s just the basics.

A relaxed venue with nice staff but expensive for what we had and the Pork Dukkah which was cold and tasteless served with cold courgettes and undercooked cold peas. Was this an error or are vegetables meant to be cold?! If there hadn’t been other guests in our party we would have complained and sent it back.

We won’t be rushing back nor can we recommend. Such a pity as my son is a local.

Jasmine looked after us today and honestly made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. She was so friendly from the start, really attentive without being over the top, and everything came out quickly without us waiting around. You could tell she genuinely cared about making sure we were happy. Thank you for such lovely service today, Jasmine 💛

We visited the Coppa Club in Sonning Berkshire where we had a great meal, and drinks with fantastic service from Paulina

Terrible place. Booked Sunday dinner and was looking forward to it.
Arrived and was sat at table twenty minutes before we got offered drinks.
The we got told that Sunday dinner options were no longer available. No prior notice even though booked in advance with details.
No alternative offered nor apology.
Was told we would be contacted and nothing happened.
Avoid the venue. Wish I had looked at reviews before we booked and travelled to the venue.

Poor service at the bar…..
Stood waiting behind someone who was being served … no one else queuing up various couples were sat at the bar already with drinks …. Whilst I was next the barmen decided to ask both couples either side of me if they would like any thing as they decided to pick up the menu whilst I was stood there ..
put my empty glasses onto the bar and made a point of his lack of etiquette in Serving the next obvious customer
And £20 for a glass of wine ! By the way
TVs blaring out sports … seems like they are trying to become an overpriced sports bar ….

The food is a bit hit and miss and the service is terribly slow. It's a shame as the riverside location of The Coppa Club Streatley is stunning.

Bad services. The quality of food was poor. I was very disappointed.

Wetherspoons would give the Coppa Club a good run on quality, value, service. Just shocking beyond imagination. Owners know exactly what is happening & do nothing - shame on them.

Paid £95 for Christmas dinner menu, had to wait over 30 minutes for our table to be ready. Only 1 of us had the Christmas turkey which was ok not the best the other 3 had the steak which should have come with dauphinois potatoes and green beans came with chips and broccoli the steak was three slices under cooked and fatty. They also run out of plum pudding and considering all meals for our party of four was preordered 2 weeks prior, how did they run out of the set menu
Atrocious service and food never again

I really wish I had checked here before booking our Christmas dinner at a Coppa Club venue. The Swan at Streatley had promised a wonderful Christmas experience we were left disappointed and out of pocket. Waited well over an hour to be seated and then the wait for food was shocking. We eventually got our dinner after 6pm when we had a 3:30 booking. Then to add insult to injury a £80 service charge. Whilst the staff were apologetic there was a complete break down of control in the dining room that appeared to be driven by greed taking bookings that could not be coped with. We booked our table months ago and was so looking forward to it. I would not trust this venue with your special occasion

Great food, friendly and attentive staff, our favourite Henley spot. Fatima and Pratik particularly helpful and welcoming.

Have been to the Coppa Club in Cobham several times since it came here. Overall the food has never impressed but thought I would give it another go today. Came with my elderly mother and my daughter. We ordered the crab pasta which at £25 I had high expectations, the carbonara and a small Caesar salad with fries. Drinks were tea, latte and a soft drink. We did initially order smoothies but were told that no smoothies were available. Unfortunately the crab pasta was mediocre at best. Luke warm with not much flavour. A fairly small portion and definitely not worth the price we paid. Did I complain, no I didn’t. I couldn’t be bothered. The place itself is nice although when we arrived there were so many tables around that hadn’t been cleared despite a group of staff standing talking at the bar area. It just doesn’t set the scene for customers arriving through the door. Our service was good, the lady very polite. This is actually a very nice venue if just a few things were tweaked.
