CS used to be a great, legitimate site. Recently, the site became a paid site and it is the worst site I've ever been on.....bar none. The site is full of fake profiles, which is blatantly obvious because, each time I clicked on a profile, I'd go on to the next and then suddenly, after each one, I'd get a message from that person, always along the lines of "Not so fast, mister. You don't just look at my pictures and walk away....." blah, blah, blah. If I had a profile picture, I could kind of understand that (I'm pretty good-looking, if I don't mind saying so myself) but women begging me to come back and talk to them when I have no profile information, much less a photo? I don't think so. It's all a scam to get you to pay so that you can chat to the women that don't actually exist, or who are paid a commission on the site. If you're looking for a decent dating site, give this one a wide berth. I will say one thing: if you're a guy and you live in Sydney, you have to get down to Sydney Markets, as most of the Sydney women on the site seem to be from that one location. I'm thinking about moving there myself. Can't go wrong.

I have been a member since 2004. Hands down, it was the best dating site ever. Lots of features. Professional and legit.

There was no hint of any racism or stuff for many years.
Something must have changed over the years.

Now in 2024 I have tried to log in only to be met by a popup saying-

Huh? After being a member for twenty years? Did some research and also read reviews. Seems the site has been sold and taken over by money makers or scammers. A great pity, but life's like that.

This is an awful site to use now. It has undergone a major change for the worse. They gave no warning that the site was being changed. It looks like you can only find local matches, which is not good.

ConnectingSingles is now a scam, money making piece of xxxx site, I was there for more than ten years and wrote poetry, made many friends, suddenly I could not access without paying, my profile was gone, my poems deleted, please don't anyone sign up to this scam!

I have been a member for many years but now my entry is not recognide and when I put a new name in it was restricted to ROI and full of scammers and sex offers

I was on an international connecting singles site. I was talking to a few men. One I really liked. We were starting to talk about actually meeting. I was excited about that. And then without warning I was sent to the Canadian connecting singles site. I have tried to contact the connecting singles site without any response or help. I have tried to get back on the site unsuccessfully. Can anyone help me please. My ratings is not a one star. It's in the negative.

Everyone, the original C.S. Site is gone, these are new owners. I figured when something was up, when they started to have an upgrade status few months ago, there one claim that held it above others was that, it was always free, there slogan was “put your wallet away.” The original owners were not making ANY money at all, they had very few ads only for other dating sites and they even had a FB page where years ago, they announced that they had a GFM page as they needed to make money to buy their house, not sure if it was really the owners though. I had begged them for many years to charge a nominal fee of $5 to set up an account and then an auto pay which people could cancel at any time of $1 a month where people have to cancel if they wanted to quit so that listings could always be current. The charge would have to be on a credit or debit card so no fake profiles could be made up (people could have a user name on profile but had to be real) as card had to be connected to a real person-they would have had a drop in membership but it was cheap enough that people would still join, existing members since they were on a free site if they had any sense a’tall would NOT join this new overpriced membership now being offered by new owners which from reviews is scummy and deceitful, wish the previous owners just closed it down but can’t blame the old owners though, they (as the Godfather said) “got an offer they couldn’t refuse”, match.com which bought POF, (and that’s setting bar low), would still be better than these new owners,who link to porn sites and such. This has been happening a lot-my favorite e-card site Greetings 123 has a copy cat imitator with a very similar name and am afraid they may sell out also.

This site stinks I've been here over 10 yrs and not a single email now it's not free anymore and I'm getting emails? Bs and I can't find how to cancel it. First it Said 60.00 for a membership? They must be on Crack. Now it's saying 30.00 I wouldn't give 30 cents for this fake ass site. These sites are bs it's like saying you can play the lotto for 60.00 a month and never win. Obviously someone bought the site and changed it. Maybe change the name or give the people who been on it a long time a free 30 day trial. I'm not biting. Who wants a 54 yr old fat trucker anyhow. There's a reason I'm single. Please delete my profile or give a free trial. I'm not paying for something that never worked.

As per the guy below me Peter.....who I totally agree with, I found my account migrated to a ring fenced localized site. I was a member for sometime and enjoyed the ability to engage with people from across the world as a worldly character and had just meet someone that I could engage in ways that I truly liked and before we could exchange contact details.....abra cadabra all has been lost.
Seems every link in the new site wants money from me or sends me to a cheap quick hook up site.
It;s now total trash and are so disappointed.

At first, this site was quite good - although there were clearly numerous fake profiles and some scammers, the ability to have a fully functioning profile, including sending and reading up to 5 messages per day, was excellent. In May 2024 I decided to buy a 1 month full membership for USD$9, which was an excellent price. All went well for a couple of weeks until the morning of 29/5/24 when suddenly the site changed, my paid membership was refunded, all my messages disappeared, and the site turned into a useless block of stone where I couldn't do anything but search - without paying for a much more expensive membership. Continual pop-ups nagging me to buy a membership, no way to contact support, and numerous attempts to redirect me to XXX sites suddenly appeared. I'm sad I can't continue the conversations I was having, as overall the site up until the end of 28/5/24 wasn't bad. I have no idea whether the site has been hacked, or just taken over by some money-hungry jerks who care nothing about those who use their site. Whatever the case, steer well clear of this site: it's now 100% suspect.

These people blocked me on their site for absolutely no reason or maybe because i was over reporting and blocking their scammers and ugly cringy disgusting men and the admins didn't like it

A very high amount of dead wood on this dating website: profiles which have not been active for some time. Over a month could mean any time after it — so people may not have been on the site for potentially years. Others are just having a look around and a bit curious with no intention of meeting anyone. Even the ones which say they are genuine may not be and just either haven't the energy, will, or ability to bring someone into their life. Or when they get to the brink of meeting, they will pull out and probably watch their favorite TV show instead or be work obsessed. You get a lot of unresponsive people so don't waste your time on them, but this is true of all dating websites. They don't snow you under with spam or at all, but you should never use you main email address for any dating website just in case. It's 100% free at the moment and you do not have to be a member to see profiles — so remember anyone can see your profile without signing up. But they have to sign up to message you. Profile approval takes up to 24hrs and can take longer. You may have get in contact with admin to get them to do it. If you have forgotten that you had an old profile and do up a new one, they may flag you as a scammer and you will not get approved. Delete the old one first. The have a lot of very good advice on dating scammers and it's worth reading the tips on this. As with all dating websites there are people trying to scam people out of money with hard luck stories etc. It is very easy to use and very easy compared to some of the subscription ones. Problem is that people can walk away anytime they want. With a subscription based dating website, profiles are likely to be far more active as money is coming out of their account. Connecting singles has been around for some time and one could end up with exactly the same results with regard to meeting people or not as a debiting dating website so....

thinking the site is a waste of time. so many scammers on the site. otherwise it's a shame because it has the potential to be a good site with all the functions it possesses. They have a policy that if a guy doesn't like one of your comments, they flag you and your profile and all your conversations are gone. Of course, the good side of it is that some scammers get caught that way. The downside is that people who have good intentions get blocked without warning.
anyway i found another place now where girls are actually there and no scammers pumping you with weird messages. I've found a really nice girl there I'm in love with <3 i recommend clcr. me/Katy
