So all they do is take your deposit and make it hard for you to withdraw. Don’t be like me that gave them many chances. Honestly ,try another app. You’d get stranded for weeks because of these guys. The customer support too only send automated messages. And block you if you try opening a new message with another support.

Thieves! All of them! Once you send money, the invent a thousand debits and debit you till your account is dry. You cannot even use the money for anything, it’s gone in a second and all you get are notifications. It’s costly to use, and even costlier to not use, because they keep debiting you in your absence and placing an overdraft on your account till you make the mistake of sending in money again.

Their conversion rates are diabolical, but wait till you owe them some dollars, they will literally take the money in your Naira wallet, unilaterally and convert it to dollars, put it in your dollar card and then take the payment.

I have never experienced a worse fintech service in all my life.

Trustpilot should invent a Zero Star.

Why bother releasing a bank app if you’re just going to keep running into issues that make withdrawal and deposits unavailable. The experience has been awful

Last year, I left a 1-star review warning people about Chipper Cash's customer support after weeks of trying to recover an $8 Upwork refund. Looking back, I wish I had taken my own advice and closed my account.

Instead, I gave them another chance.

Today, I regret that decision.

On 19 June 2026, a client transferred ₦100,000 to my Chipper Cash account. The sender's bank confirmed the transfer was successful and that the receiving institution acknowledged receipt.

Today is 1 July 2026.

My wallet is still not funded.

For nearly two weeks, I have been passed from one support agent to another. At least eight different agents have handled my ticket. None has explained where the money is. None has credited my wallet. None has arranged a refund to the sender. After all this, the conversation has now gone back to automated AI responses telling me to "be patient."

This is no longer about a delayed transfer.

It is about a company that repeatedly fails to communicate, repeatedly fails to take ownership, and repeatedly leaves customers without meaningful answers when their money is involved.

As a freelancer, my reputation depends on timely payments. Because of this unresolved issue, I have had to keep explaining to a client why I cannot complete a payment that should have been straightforward.

One bad experience can be an exception.

Two experiences, more than a year apart, involving the same poor support and unresolved financial issues, suggest a pattern.

I can no longer recommend Chipper Cash to freelancers, remote workers, or anyone whose livelihood depends on reliable access to their money.

I ignored my own warning from last year.

I hope others don't make the same mistake.

Each time I make a deposit, varying and significant amounts are deducted before I can do anything. I genuinely feel like aim being robbed. Any trustworthy alternatives will be much appreciated!!

These guys are scammers! The moment they notice that you have money in there they will try all possible means to deduct the money, from failed transactions to subscriptions you never did or any mean to make sure your account is indebted. I'm deleting the app right away. but i want to create awareness before deleting. please don't use

These guys are thieves, run away from them. how can i fund 15k naira and they gave me 11,800 naira even when i did not buy dollar, they have been taking my money each time i transfer and this is way too much.

This thieves took $5.42 from me,I deposited $70 around 2023,they didn’t credit me and lied about returning it to the sender,till today I haven’t received my money,tonight I deposited 7500 Naira and this money was use to pay a debt I don’t know about ,they said it was stock maintenance fee but I haven’t even use their stock in my life,they are really scammers and please don’t use them!!!!!!!

Chipper Cash used to be a go-to fintech app. Probably around 2-3 years ago. But now, they suck as hell!

They are not providing a solution. They are simply providing a system to steal from you. I’ve been using them for over 3 years now, but right now? I’m so done. I’m uninstalling this app but before then I thought to leave a review so others will not fall into this trap. The 1 star rating is for the seamless deposit. Depositing money is super fast. But once your money is in there? You’re doomed.

You are met with endless fees like
❌Card activation fee (USD/NGN)
❌Card Maintenance Fees
❌ Card Payment Decline fees
❌ Conversion Fees (their dollar to naira exchange rate is ridiculously high) while others are exchange at $1=N1387 for instance, Chipper is likely exchanging at $1=N1470. But when you need to convert the same dollar seconds later, you’re converting at maybe N1350. That’s stealing to me!!!
❌ Withdrawal Charges (plus unnecessary delays, unexplained time outs) gosh! I can’t even tell it all.

They make me sick. Initially, I thought maybe it’s because they’re trying to stabilize operations due to the economic situations but no! This one? Is too much.

I will not recommend chipper to anyone I love. Thankfully, we’ve got better alternatives now.

Lol chipper are scammers they debit u for no reason then when u message them about it they'll refus to respond to ur message and leave u unattended to

These people don’t inform you that there network is down or even lie the moment you deposit more than 100$ then suddenly they get issues with the network I deposited money with there crypto currency but it’s now 2days and money is not even reflected on the account yet it was already confirm so any Ugandan here be cautious with this app they are scammers

Sincerely the worst, my dollar card was deactivated, 7 dollars was supposed to be withdrawn back to my dollar wallet but I couldn’t find it, then I went ahead to create another another one for 5 dollars, after which I funded with 15dollars yesterday and today it has vanished again, I think these guys are just scammers, sent messages no customer service, phone number etc.. Chipper such a shame, I think it is time to look for a better alternative after 4 years

I think they should be arrested. They are the biggest failed fintech app scamming bastards on the internet and in Nigeria. They are purely thieves. A bunch of stupid females and some senseless males who want to be entrepreneurs but lack the technical know-how to make it work effectively and lack the funding the hire the skill and adequate human resources they'll need to run a successful fintech startup. These people are using plugins to do transactions. They're playing at the office and using our funds to test their app if it's working fine. They're mad people on the loose and they're in possession of people's funds including mine. It's been over 14 hours since I transferred my funds from them to my opay and they're still working on it. The petty thieves want to talk with their finance transfer partner. I've done business with mad people 😭 I've given my money to mad men and women in the same WhatsApp group. Failed fintech startdown!!

Absolutely terrible experience.
Chipper Cash is lightning fast when it comes to deposits, they’ll take your money instantly with zero issues. But the moment you try to withdraw or cash out? Suddenly there are “delays,” “reviews,” and endless excuses. My money gets held for no clear reason, no real timeline, and support is painfully slow and unhelpful. It feels one-sided: fast in, stuck forever coming out. If you value access to your own money, think twice before using this app. Completely unreliable when it actually matters.

Just a bunch of scammers. They give out cards that never work and they never reply via support. Too frustrating. They keep taking your money without even your permission. Who is there regulator in Uganda?? Please stay away from this this kiapp.

This platform is terrible. They consistently break their own records for making the most anti-consumer decisions and changes. The customer service is also terrible.

Theives, avoid them, I wonder why I have not found other competitors till now, I pay 5$ to get a virtual card, they charge me monthly for holding a virtual card, if there is no cash in it, they delete the card, and I have to pay another 5$ for a card I had already paid for.

If you're new to this application I will advice you to stop using it...they are thieves
