Just a quick note endorsing, recommending and thanking Miranda Hughes for her professionalism, efficiency and warm approach taking on the management of my Port Melbourne property. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Mirandaand her guidance and help through the process to secure and move in the new tenant has been greatly appreciated.

Cannot rate Cayzer Real Estate highly enough. We have bought and leased properties through Cayzer. Their local knowledge is second to none and Karin has managed our rental property without issue for years. I’d never go anywhere else!

Open Letter to New Tenants
Steer clear of Cayzer. I unfortunately rented for a year with them. I found them unhelpful, bordering rude. The airconditioning system works ineffectively - it needs to be replaced or repaired. There are no directional flaps so all the air (hot or cold) goes straight to the back of the house - which is not where one lives - so you boil down the back where the kitchen is or you freeze until after several hours the entire place is heated. My electricity bill for the year here was 4 times what it was for the previous two years in another property.

Flyscreens drop off in the middle of the night or day because they are either being held by velcro or blutak... so several windows need to be kept shut. The tub is rendered useless - no plug keeps water in.

Throughout my frustrations I found my managing agent unresponsive, rude and dismissive. I think she felt superior and looked down her nose. This place was $795 per week - without electricity so it's not like I was paying for a dump!

I would never EVER put one of my investment properties in the hands of these guys - especially the rentals woman. I like to have a mutually beneficial relationship with my managing agents - you never know where your customers come from.

Kate was great to deal with, very prompt on replies, accessible at all times and never a task to hard to deal with.
I have no hesitation is recommending Kate to friends, families or peers as always felt like our property/home was in good hands.
Kate was always professional and a pleasure to deal with.

I requested that Cazyer Manage a Property I own in Port Melbourne and find a tenant. Cayzer were so professional from day 1. They found a tenant for me within a couple of weeks. During the time Cayzer Managed my property I have had 3 tenants over a period of approx 5 years. I have never had any issues. Sharon has been the Property Manager from day 1. Her professionalism is unsurpassed in my experience. She has managed all our maintenance and related business smoothly ensuring our property was kept in great condition. She liaised between us and our tenants with diplomacy and was a pleasure to deal with always. She could not have done more to make our experience as a rented property owner better. Jason made our first selling experience incredibly easy, he kept things simple and clear right from the beginning and his selling experience and advise turned out be immensely valuable for us. This week I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the property manager at Cayzer Real Estate where I did not own the property managed but an adjacent property sharing the same sewer. The sewer was blocked on Tuesday night and on Wednesday I contacted a plumber specialising in drains to investigate the blockage. He put a camera down and determined the boundary trap was blocked.I contacted the owner who used Cayzer as their managing agent. The property manager at Cayzer treated me and my plumber dismissively. She did not believe the problem was in the shared drain and the boundary trap specifically. It took her 24 hours before she contacted my plumber to ask questions and even then treated him dismissively.During this time my tenants who shared the sewer were without a flushing toilet or shower. Thursday she agreed under pressure to have the agency plumber come out and do his own investigation but he was not given access by their own tenant. By Friday he was given access to a SE Water easement and the back yard. By now my tenants have been without sanitation three days.The property manager on Friday tells me she has arranged with the tenant to allow my plumber entry inside on Saturday so he can identify where the boundary trap is located as it has been built over and is not accessible. The other owner and I and both plumbers turn up at 11 am Saturday and the tenant will not permit entry even though he had previously agreed to. The managing agent, Cayzer Real Estate is unaware that in an emergency, access can not be denied and 24 hrs notice is not required. I was told this by SE Water and it was not believed by the property manager at Cayzer. In the end, late Saturday morning the agency provided the owner with a key. By this time my tenants had been without sanitation since Wednesday. The managing agent could have given my plumber access to assess the situation Wednesday but chose not to. The blocked boundary trap would have been unearthed and cleared on Wednesday but instead this didn't happen till Saturday. Cayzer is not my managing agent and I was not treated with respect and my plumber was not believed. The managing agent did not know the lawful rights of the landlord in this situation. It was a debacle. On Saturday, after gaining access to the inside of the building, my plumber was able to access the boundary trap that had been covered by a few inches of concrete and clear it.

Honest professional advice without the rhetoric. Deliver exactly what they say. Have used previously and will again. Attention to detail and responsive.

Our experience with Cayzer was just seamless thanks to Jordan Gravestien who made the purchase of our property so easy.
He was professional, caring and nothing was too much trouble.

Michelle Wergin at Cazyer has been the ideal agent looking after my rental property in Albert Park. Many years ago, she used to work for another company and when she left I found the other agents very harried and inattentive. This was important because I currently live overseas, and need to trust that the property is in good hands. At the time, once Michelle was no longer taking care of the place, I had a series of terrible agents, one of whom ignored my wish that the abusive tenant be given notice. Another approved expensive restumping that was never actually done correctly. And some of the agents could hardly write an understandable sentence. In despair, I tracked Michelle down and found her at Cayzer. What a relief! She has been flawless as an agent, prompt in attending to any repairs, keeping me informed, sending me pictures, meeting with me when I'm back home, finding good tenants and always making sure that they are happy too. Win-Win!
I'm now selling that property and she has arranged seamless, quick and efficient co-ordination with the Cayzer agent, Simon, who will handle that sale. He too strikes me as a knowledgeable, efficient and pleasant agent.
