The buying experience was very good. Kev responded to any questions we raised promptly and in a professional manner. The car we purchased is running well so far. The limited warranty offered is for three months and supposed to be only from Cars of Christchurch but Given we live 80miles from Bournemouth, kev did indicate his company would look to help via local garages to me. We were also offered an extended warranty at additional cost which is limited by the age of the car. We felt it prudent to take this but did not feel pressurised to do so. So, happy with the buying experience and would happily buy from Kev and Cars of Christchurch again.

I bought a used car from Cars of Christchurch and within six months it broke down three times, spending around 2.5 months off the road for repairs.

During the most recent breakdown, the AA identified 12 fault codes, including repeated engine/timing-related issues. I also later discovered the vehicle’s diagnostics had been wiped prior to sale. When asked, the dealer said this was due to work on a pre-existing issue but has never disclosed what that issue was or provided documentation.

A major repair (oil pump replacement) took around seven weeks, yet further serious faults occurred. I asked for diagnostic evidence to support the claim that the issues were unrelated and not present at sale — none was provided.

Cars of Christchurch have refused a refund, stating I am “past the period of rejection” and citing advice from the AA/ADR, but have not shared any written evidence of this when requested.

Based on my experience with ongoing faults and after-sales support, I would urge others to proceed with caution.

I had been looking for a certain trim level in a Mercedes E class for some time and finally found one advertised at Cars Of Christchurch at a decent price with low mileage. I live on Merseyside and did not relish the trip down to Bournemouth to view the car. Craig was more than obliging and provided a video review of the vehicle pointing out the (very minor) imperfections. He then arranged for the vehicle to be delivered within the week. Yes, I took a chance but the vehicle is in excellent condition and drives beautifully. Speaking solely from my own experience, I have no hestitation in recommending this company.

To all future customers of cars of Christchurch, please read the below before purchasing.

I would like to highlight that I am thrilled with the new car that I purchased from them, it was a little pricey, however, the service provided by David, initially, was very good.

The issue started with the part exchange.

I part exchanged my old car with them, I did not get much for it but paid for the extended insurance I purchased at the same time as getting the car. When I went to purchase the car I forgot to put the paperwork in the glove compartment but drove and posted them to David the next day who then confirmed he had received all the service history and V5 in the letter box.

Roll on 6 months later and I received a court summons telling me that I needed to attend a court hearing due to driving without insurance for my OLD CAR! I was in complete shock, and wanting to sort this I contacted DVLA, and the courts and declared not guilty on the plea, initially.

I contact David at Cars of Christchurch, and he informed me to send the court summons over initially almost made out I had not done a part exchange with him, then informed me they would investigate. I had to send quite a few texts and emails to follow up, bear in mind I have a very busy job myself.

The findings of their investigation came via test message saying:

Hi Georgina,
No problem I can confirm we received your message. I believe you have handled everything correctly in this matter and I apologise that you have had to deal with this issue. Many thanks, David.

?!?!? Okay so I asked if he had the V5 or slip, and the answer was no.

I have since chased via email and text with nothing.

I have been advised by DVLA and Citizen advice that I should have taken the slip out before handing the documents over and should not have posted them. They have advised based on the evidence that I have a case and are advising the next steps legally.

David has been put as a witness for the transaction for the court hearing which I am awaiting a date.

I am mortified that this has happened and the stress it has caused me, I cannot explain it in words.

I will keep this post updated with the final stages as future customers need to know that good customer service is not just about the sale, but how important the after-sales care from the company is.

I will be posting this on further sites to warn people to make sure that if you do purchase here, make sure you check all paperwork.

I also have since found out that the extended warranty I took out does not exist with the provider. So even more stress ahead.

Thanks to David & Craig for providing excellent service whilst purchasing my Audi A4 last weekend. The car drives amazing!

I bought a 2015 BMW X3 online from this company. Their advert described the car as having " Good Bodywork" " Interior good Condition" "Tyre Condition Good".
When the car arrive to Cyprus I discovered the following:
1. Boot cover assembly missing
2. Dents in passenger door ( My driver who picked up to car had already informed me of these dents)
3. 2nd Key fob "stolen" enroute
4 Worn front tyres which they had promised to replace.
5. The interior was filthy and stunk of animals

I confronted them with the foregoing and the following is their written reply:

1. The dents were not there prior to me sending the car to you
2. The 2nd Key Fob was 100% sent off in the package by myself
3. The boot cover assembly items are not described in the advert as being missing, or complete!
4. I do not remember discussing the replacement of the front tyres with yourself.

Conclusion they lied about the dents, they did not feel obliged to bring to my attention that the boot cover assembly was missing, They verbally assured me that front tyres would be changed, and their claim that a 2nd key fob ever existed has to be doubtful. The interior was filthy with strong smell of dogs. Their advert described the "Interior in good condition"

This is a dishonest car dealer and you deal with them at our peril.
