I have been using this service for a few years, especially to buy Amazon gift cards and sometimes I have sold ASDA gift card.
I have never had a problem, except once and on that occasion the issue was resolved by email within minutes.

Tried to open a new account and was asked to send personal details over email to verify my ID, this is the most insecure thing I can think of , tried to contact directly but the phone number is just an answering machine , they don’t return calls and the live chat takes over 30 mins to get a response. I can’t continue to use a company that uses such an insecure method to verify me. Just read the reply below I’m an OAP from Hampshire not a fraudster and it’s a genuine review of my experience.

ive been waiting 3 months for payment after my voucher was sold

I’m still awaiting funds for a gift card I sold, but it was an easy process in which you get a fair amount back.
The only thing I would put as a negative is that the website isn’t as clear as it could be, I thought once I had provided all the information required that I would be waiting a maximum of 2 weeks for the funds. When actually it’s 2 weeks from the date another customer purchases it, in my case this has added around a week to my wait time. It’s not the end of the world but I do believe in websites being clear, upfront and honest and I think this could be imrpoved.

Discovered this company recently. Really good company for selling your unwanted gift cards. I sold a card and the money was in my account on the day specified. I had an issue with some codes I purchased. This issue wasn’t anything to do with Cardyard but with the company I was purchasing from. The issue was sorted within a couple of days. Great idea to make savings and I will definitely use Cardyard again. Thanks for your excellent customer service and for resolving my issue.

I have not been able to purchase any gitcards. I have sent several emails and messages without getting a replies. Very poor experience

Very quick to get gift vouchers. I purchased Amazon codes twice and on both occasions I received it literally within few minutes. The only place I can think of that saves you money on Amazon shopping. Not too many companies so far, but hopefully they will add more in the future. Would strongly recommend!

Over 5 years I have bought about 20 cards with values ranging from £10 - £500 from brands inc. Amazon and Apple, and sold two vouchers. Experienced no issues at all in any of the transactions. Took a while but finally leaving them the 5* review they deserve.

I had a £100 Currys Gift Card for a couple of months that I didn't really have much use for. Wanted to sell on, but there seemed to be limited options (mainly auction or marketplaces) and thought those options seemed a bit risky.

Came across Cardyard from Google and an online forum I regularly use. Skeptical at first but given the generally very positive reviews on here I thought I would give them a go. And I'm glad I did!

Signed up and sent the voucher by email and received several confirmation emails and told payment would be in 2 week's time and given a fair rate. Payment arrived on time exactly as promised.

I would highly recommend and would use again.

I sold a gift card through Card Yard, the process was exactly as explained on their website. It took a few days for the gift card to sell, the money was held for quarantine for 14 days after that, and then was credited to my Card Yard account. I used it to buy another gift card for a different retailer, got the code straight away and redeemed it with no issues. Highly recommend!

My Curry’s E-Gift Card Was High Value Item So Was Very Reluctant, But Excellent Service, Prompt Response, Does Exactly What It Says On The Tin, Highly Recommended

TLDR: Would have stayed but this company is not ran by someone who takes criticism well.

FINNAL EDIT (20/01/2023): Sent a formal letter to this company quoting my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 as they have been radiosilent, then suddenly reply with a link regarding a new rule that was not written in their terms and conditions (nor is it legally enforcable) stating they would not reply to customers that had left a negative feedback.

Quite literally make rules up as they go and not a company that takes criticism at all.

As of 16/01/2023 (22 days) I was finally advised of a refund, not via email, but via a reply on Trustpilot. There was no explanation of what happened.

18/01/2023, unprovoked, this company said they will inactivate my account as I said "I would avoid them in the future".

Not entirely sure why my account was still active by 20/01/2023 but I have cancelled my account manually today and will never return.

EDIT (03/01/2023); 1 week post complaint and dispute. Cardyard sent an email stating “we are not shifting the blame on you” and “accidentally sent emails intended for the person who sent us the card”, which I seriously doubt is true. None the less, no updates from them since.

Bought 2x£50 Amazon Vouchers from this company (amongst other vouchers which went well until now) but they came invalid and already redeemed.

Tried to resolve this in a civil manner by providing all time stamped proofs that the products were already redeemed prior to being dispatched to me.

Currently still trying to resolve this but Cardyard is trying to shift the blame to me because the seller “is a long standing client” and “was adamant that they did not spend them”.

Not impressed so far. Let’s see what they do to rectify the situation but Trading Standards will certainly want to know about this.

I'm not going to lie, I'd not heard of the website before using it and I was understandably worried about how apparently open to scams this might be.

However...

My experience was a great one. I bought vouchers for Currys which helped make a Christmas gift (which isn't ever discounted anywhere!!) a little more affordable. I saved 8% and someone who didn't want to shop at Currys received something back for a voucher which might otherwise get wasted. Win win!

Obviously I can't speak for anyone else or guarantee your experience, but using this service worked out well for me.

What a useful website. Had no idea it existed until a friend told me about it. So easy to sell unwanted gift cards. Very informative on how to sell and you don't even need to do much at all. You can check the status of the card you are selling from sold, to in quarantine, Verifying etc. Then after approx 14 days the cash is transferred to your preferred account. What I also like about this is when you give the gift card details it tells you how much it will sell for, and that is what you get. There is no hidden agenda or fees other than a small one to sell the card which is more than reasonable. I'm very pleased that for a £50 gift voucher I received £39.50. Am very happy and wish I'd known about this website before. Will definitely use in the future.

I bought *hundreds* of gift cards so far, I always received a 5* service.

Bit sceptical at first! Myself and my wife had a lot of low value gift card left over after we decided to get some for friends and family over covid and just before so they could buy music and books. Looked into other buy and sell website and came across cardyard. Tried placing one gift card on at first and to my surprise that day it had been sold and a promise payment date was given to me. Cardyard emailed me on updates right up to this point and you can get access to your account to see the progress - which is a bonus. Placed all of are other gift card on and now awaiting for them to be sold. So far so good but will update the review once all transactions is completed. P.s really good fair prices for unused gift cards not greedy at all as I thought it would cost more.

Don't be swayed by the poor reviews. I used card yard, and I also was suspicious of the process and whether i would be scammed or not, especially with the value of the gift card at hand. Card yard support was very convincing, but I was still suspicious and today I have received the money into my bank account after the 2-week quarantine period. Very impressed with the service and could not recommend more. I will be using card yard for definite in the future.

I was in 2 minds, as not all reviews about CardYard are positive. I read the negative ones, and realised that some have written their experiences prematurely (as CardYard resolved the problem eventually). I ventured into buying an expensive Swarovski card - and boy I didn't regret it! Worked instantly, saved me 17% and made me and my fiancee super happy!

My conclusion - the reason there are negative reviews is because this line of business is tricky - involving people's ethics and trustworthiness (i.e.
those who sell their cards to CardYard). Still, it seems that CardYard provide guarantees to us consumers irrelevant. Many thanks CardYard!

Had a £50 Amazon Gift card as part of a gift but felt that it would have been better to swap for cash.

I came across Cardyard & at 1st wasn't keen on waiting for 2 weeks but had no other choice.

Had a bit of trouble due to my contact details but luckily I managed to get it all solved.
