I ordered a Mestic SPA5100 split air…
I ordered a Mestic SPA5100 split air conditioning unit for my motorhome from Cariquip because their website clearly showed it as in stock. I was genuinely surprised, as I’d searched everywhere and no one else had any available. Most retailers only had the SPA3100, which wasn’t the model I wanted.
As soon as I saw Cariquip claiming to have the SPA5100 in stock, I placed my order and paid in full straight away.
Over a week passed, but my order status remained “Awaiting Fulfilment” the entire time. I tried calling the number on their website several times, only to hear a recorded message saying they weren’t accepting incoming calls due to a high volume of enquiries and that all communication had to be via email.
I emailed asking for an update but received no response. After waiting a few more days, I sent a second email explaining that I needed to know what was happening with my order. By this point, I was beginning to think I’d been scammed and was ready to contact my bank to request a chargeback if I didn’t hear anything.
Ironically, within minutes of sending that second email, I finally received a reply. They informed me that they didn’t actually have any SPA5100 units in stock and had therefore issued me a full refund. They also explained that the only units they had were cosmetically damaged, with marks on the outer casing.
To be fair, I appreciate that they refunded my money in full. However, it shouldn’t have taken over a week and two unanswered emails before anyone bothered to let me know there was a problem. The lack of communication throughout the whole process was extremely disappointing.
My biggest issue is that the website advertised the item as in stock when it clearly wasn’t. Had I been told sooner, I could have continued looking elsewhere instead of wasting over a week waiting for an order that was never going to be fulfilled.
Make up your own mind about Cariquip, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t rely on the stock levels shown on their website. Good communication goes a long way, and unfortunately, that’s where they let themselves down.
And now they have the cheek to lie saying I’d missed their email ? NO that’s not true but I clearly understand why you’re writing what you have as a reply to my feedback, I called you several times only to get an automated message saying you are not taking incoming calls and I-then went on to email you a second time( I have the proof if you need it for a honest review) and only after I emailed you the second time did you reply telling me you had issued a full refund ! It took you over 1 week to issue a refund knowing you didn’t have the stock ? Price was good I must say but communication and lies don’t sit with me!

We'd like to clarify a couple of points for anyone reading this. This wasn't a case of two unanswered emails. When you contacted us again, we responded promptly and resolved the matter immediately by issuing a full refund.
Unfortunately, on rare occasions, stock discrepancies can occur. In this instance, the only units available were found to have cosmetic damage during inspection, so rather than send a product that wasn't in the condition advertised, we chose to cancel the order and refund you in full.
We can only respond to issues once we're aware of them, and as soon as we knew you hadn't received or seen our original reply, we acted straight away to resolve the situation.
We appreciate your feedback regarding communication and stock accuracy, as this helps us continue improving our service. We apologise again for the disappointment and wish you all the best in sourcing the product you needed.

Retail heaven
I've recently purchased a new water filter for my caravan from Caraquip, the whole retail experience was amazing from ordering through to delivery! The staff are super helpful and the filter was very well packaged and delivered super quickly.

Having difficulty finding Motorhome parts
Having difficulty finding a gas jet for a Dometic 3 way fridge I found this company who supplied said jet at a very good price and very quick to send by first class post. I think they are a genuine family concern and will use them again in future.

Zadi barrel removal key
I ordered the Zadi barrel removal key to change the barrel on our motorhome. The price was excellent. The process was very easy and the key arrived absolutely as described and very quickly.
