Paid deposit but missed payment deadline as two close family members rushed to hospital in emergency and my next three/four weeks spent with them.

Lost deposit and when i asked if i could have that as a credit voucher to book another holiday with Canvas I was told No. No goodwill hence rating.

Bei technischen Problemen bei der Buchung, bekommt man telefonisch schnell und freundlich Hilfe und Unterstützung. Danke an das tolle Team. Wir buchen gerne immer wieder bei Euch.

Have been holidaying with Canvas for may years. It's so easy to book online. If you need to call the call centre, the staff are so friendly and helpful.

Very easy system to use, very straightforward

Our holiday was cancelled with Canvas in 2020 as expected. At the time of cancellation we were given the option to add 99pounds to a future holiday in addition to our original deposit and maintain 198 pounds. We took this option to help a company which would be struggling through Covid times. Now we have come to book with Canvas for this year as there was so much uncertainty marrying up flights to Canvas bookings last year, the company has told us our 'voucher' has 'expired' and are unwilling to refund the money paid or use this against a booking. They fail to mention this was infact originally credit given to the business. Canvas have taken the money and offered no monetary value in return, which is morally questionable. Disappointing as we were looking forward to finally using them this year and had a campsite lined up but I'm uncomfortable parting money with a company like this. Their response was that they had outlined the voucher would expire which we can't find anywhere in T&Cs. Avoid at all costs

After selecting our camp site we entered our dates and were told all accommodation was unavailable. We almost gave up but persisted. We had to leave the website, delete all cookies and go back to the website, This time we selected our preferred accommodation first then searched for the dates. Hey presto, it was available and we could book our holiday.
There's a serious problem with the website search, you should be able to search without entering your dates, since many people are flexible on when they travel.

Very easy to book and good you can reserve your holiday with a £99 deposit. Also - just to say Canvas were very good at moving our holiday twice due to Covid and we did not lose any money as a result - a friendly compnany.

all add ons clearly itemised and priced I had a problem during the payment process (my fault) but I was in no way pressured during the time I was trying to fix problem

soo simple to book, would have liked to booked Eurotunnel but only P& O available. still happy

We had a fantastic holiday in camp fabulous Rome really good would highly recomend

As ever Canvas as a company were great. A great price and good service. Particularly good at answering questions on the phone, really helpful.
The campsite was as expected really as one primarily for people needing somewhere to stay that was near to Disneyland. Only thing is that since our last holiday the campsites no longer have Canvas reps on site which is a shame as they were always a mine of information and help. However the campsite hosts were very helpful too.

We have always used canvas holidays. Never had a problem with them. Static caravans have always been very clean. We always go to Italy and stay in static caravans.

I have been with Canvas a few times and everything has gone well and the sites have been good and as described .I will book with Canvas in the future without hesitation

Booked a Safari tent with air conditioning - when we arrived we discovered none of the tents have AC, no rep on site so rang booking line and was told it was a typo on the website. They suggested I bought or hired a fan!
The site has been open since May and apparently no one else had complained. Asked to talk to a manager at Canvas and I’m still waiting 24 hours later.
Terrible service and selling goods they don’t have.

Very bad site keep away. Worst holiday ever. We travelled over 1500 miles to Camping Falaise at Narbonne plage with our caravan for a two week holiday. From day one we had Music blaring out from other pitches next to ours all day and carrying on til one or 2 in the morning. We had a pitch next to us with 8 youths in 4 tents on one pitch screaming and yelling at 4 or 5 in the morning. We reported it to the rep and security but it did not make any difference. as more and more inconsiderate campers just kept arriving on pitches close by just as noisy and inconsiderate to their neighbours. In the end we just gave up and put up until our holiday was over. I called head office to complain and was informed to complain to the rep which I already had done twice. So no point just complaining again when nothing was done. The showers were not cleaned at all during the whole two weeks we were there and each covered in yellow staining over the walls and floors I wiped at these and they easily came off god knows what bacteria loomed in that mess I have pictures to show how bad it was. A tampon label stuck to a shower wall was also there for two weeks. Bars were poor drinks expensive and pool bar closed more than it was open. Pointless when temperatures were around 30 degrees and you were not allowed to take drinks to the pool.
I certainly will not go back.

Which dint have a pitch for our van size so ended up having to stop on grass outside and then drove to our second park Vacances
QUARTIER MAYOTTE LAC 368 CHEMIN DES ROSEAUX 40600 BISCARROSSE to find that can’t book in till after 4pm.after 6 hour drive so lost most of the day before even get van sorted,when phoned up the company and said not much we can do and wasn’t bothered waste of time never book with theses if have any sense

We have booked several times with Canvas over the years and in all honesty the company has appeared to given up on customer service and the accommodation. We booked a lakeview and it certainly was not… the accommodation was filthy, no linen or towels provided even though they were paid and booked for way in advance. We had to pay a 60euro deposit for cleaning insurance upon arrival which was laughable as we left the place cleaner than when we arrived. The place had crisps all over the floor, bird poop on the dining table. The accommodation itself lacks in basic commodities ie kettle, oven etc..
I have contacted Canvas but have not received a reply which in hindsight confirms the lack of customer service.
I would definitely recommend and will be doing in future, using a different company to book our next trip.

Disgraceful staff and poor caravan facilities

Booked a caravan at Domaine de Léveno in France. It was expensive but the site had good facilities and a water park.

The park itself was good, but the caravan and Vacanceselect staff were definately not.

The caravans are beyond basic in their decor. Mushroom coloured walls, plastic dining furniture, plastic sofas, cheap foam mattresses. Ours had broken/missing blackout blinds and the shower head was broken and had to be tied up with string to stop it keep dropping down.

They are supposed to be self catering, but there's nothing to cater with. No oven. No grill. No toaster. Not even a kettle. Just a gas hob (with one broken burner) and a microwave.

And then the staff. They were never at their caravan to ask questions of, which was locked up 95% of the time. They attempted to extort 100e per caravan (we had two booked) as deposit, even though the booking form says 60e. When we pointed this out she simply scribbled through the 60e and wrote 100e over the top!

When it came to leaving we cleaned the caravans as requested - we wiped all the surfaces, cleaned the toilets, showers and sinks, cleaned out and switched off the fridges/freezers, washed up and put away crockery and cutlery, swept the floors etc. Literally left them as clean and tidy as we would expect to find them with the exception of not washing the floors as there was no mop or bucket provided.

However, when they arrived to check us out they stormed around telling me our "housekeeping is bad" then pulled all the beds out, swept together a tiny pile of dust, and demanded that's they withhold 50% of our deposit for our failure to clean the caravans. It was disgraceful. Two of the bedrooms hadn't even been used during our stay yet still we were apparently to blame for dirt under the beds in rooms we had not been in. And part of the deposit was being kept seemingly because I hadn't lined up the dining chairs straight enough on the table. He was rude and confrontational and when I refused to leave the caravan and kicked his pile of dust she went to get security! It was a total con and they never had any intention of paying back the deposit in full however clean and tidy we'd left it (evidenced by the fact she had to go back up to their reception caravan to get the other half of our deposit as they'd only ever bought half with them in the first place).

After half an hour of arguing we started to photograph him and the clean caravan and he got very angry and then gave us our full deposit back. However to have had to endure such aggressive and unpleasant attitude from him just to get back what we were entitled to was disgraceful and I fear many just give in to their theft as the easier option, especially when they have ferries to rush to catch.

Can't possibly recommend this company in light of the above. Which is a shame as the site itself was lovely and the location great.
