Avoid Caffyns Audi Eastbourne.

I purchased an Audi RS5 from this dealership and it has been one of the worst buying experiences I’ve had. The car was delivered with multiple issues, including extremely loud and embarrassing brake noise at low speeds, air conditioning faults, and paint damage. All of this was reported immediately.

The car was taken back by the dealership, and I was told that multiple engineers had driven and checked the vehicle and could not find any issue. This was incredibly frustrating, as the brake noise is constant and obvious to anyone driving the car. When it was returned, the problem was still there and even worse.

What followed was even more disappointing. It was agreed that another Audi centre would carry out a proper diagnostic inspection. I demonstrated the issue in person to the technician, yet the inspection that was promised was never actually carried out. Instead, the two garages decided behind the scenes that a basic visual check from 3 months prior would be used to dismiss the problem. No report was provided and I was told the car was 'safe' and 'to standards' yet not one person decided to investigate what was actually causing the fault.

I have just had to have the car MOT'd and the brake discs were highlighted as needing repair and have been below the manufacturer standards for a while, which is what I had reported from the outset.

Throughout this process, I have felt completely dismissed. The focus has clearly been on avoiding responsibility rather than properly investigating and resolving a genuine issue that was reported on day one. Audi Eastbourne have insisted on using old footage of vehicle checks from previous owners rather than actually investigating an issue where they know they are at fault

This is not the level of service you expect when buying an Audi Approved Used vehicle, and I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from Audi Eastbourne to think very carefully, make sure they confirm and validate everything in video for you and that you do not accept the car if you find any faults on delivery especially, if you are purchasing from a distance as they will attempt to do everything they can to walk away from their post sale responsibilities.

Extremely poor experience from start to finish.

Don't put a car in here to be repaired. Could drive car in but they wanted to charge us extra to 'put it back together' for us to drive it out. Very poor customer service.

Don't use this garage. They want to charge me for something than they did for free before. They have increased the prices but the service is much worse. They removed the car wash station too so they don't wash the car like other Volkswagen garages.

Bought the car from them 4 years ago, recently asked for a quote for 3 repair items, I was told they would have to run a diagnostic check first and charge me £120 + vat for it, I said but I already know whats wrong with the car. I have an OBD device I know the fault codes and exactly what needs doing but they wont even quote a price without me paying for the diagnostic. Said they would speak to servicing and call me back but surprise surprise I never heard from them. By the way a complete diagnostic check using my OBDeleven device took me under 1 minute to do, you plug it in under the dash and get an immediate read out to your smartphone. I think it’s a scam for Caffyns even to charge for this at all.

Bought a new Skoda Elroq from Caffyns Tunbridge Wells Kent. The salesman Mark Harris has been amazing, all our questions answered, help and guidance given. it’s been a pleasure dealing with Mark and the car is a joy to drive. Thank you Mark.

We purchased a new VW Golf from Caffyns Volkswagen Worthing and had a great experience. Rob Skinner and Kayle Farman were very helpful, everything was organised smoothly, and the staff were welcoming.

We were told by our local garage the warning light on our car needed a mains dealer check. The problem had been diagnosed (for £60 by local garage) and Caffyns charged anothed £120 to redo this. Within an hour of them having the car we were sent an email asking us to confirm were happy to go ahead with work. This was just a tick box on the email. The cost for work was almost £16,000 (yes sixteen thousand pounds). Phoned the garage, told them we did not wish to proceed with the works. Within an hour we were being bombarded with texts and emails 'buy your new Seat now, £500 off', etc etc.
It seems they would like to sell you a new car (finanace).......
Found a gearbox specialist to do the work for a fraction of the price.
Sharks! Avoid if you possibly can!
As an aside, as a woman going into this garage, its a throughly unpleasant experience. You are made to feel stupid and second class. Fellow women there are better places to buy and get your car serviced/repaired.

I recently purchased a 2021 Audi Q2 from Caffyns in Brighton, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. Simon Huxford was helping me to go through the entire process, from the test drive to signing the paperwork, was efficient and stress-free. Noting that they followed up or quickly resolved a minor post-purchase issue shows long-term commitment. Highly recommend this team!

In our search for a replacement VW Sharan, we stumbled upon a low mileage Approved Car at Caffyns in Brighton. Despite being based in Southwest London, we managed everything remotely, with phone calls and video reviews of the vehicle, which required some bodywork repairs. Richard Price expertly guided us through each step with professionalism and friendliness, making the entire process smooth and reassuring. After the MOT, service, and repairs were finalized, my in-laws went to pick up the car. They reported back with enthusiasm, praising how well it drove and its nearly new appearance. I'm thrilled with the excellent service from Caffyns and especially Richard Price, and I'm more than happy to recommend them wholeheartedly. Thank you for providing us with such a wonderful car!

Had an issue with my fob keys. Batteries changed but still not working or locking. Had to leave the car. Ollie came to my rescue. Sorted the issue. Picked up car quickly. Service with a smile.

We would just like to highly recommend the wonderful service we received from Sam Crawford from Ashford branch of Caffyns.
From the very start Sam was extremely helpful, patient and friendly. He went above and beyond: picking us up from the train station and lending us his personal UBS-C cable for our journey home. Sam is very competent and professional and made the process seemless. He is an absolute star and we can't thank him enough :)

We were desperately in need of a replacement VW Sharan and noticed that Caffyns in Brighton had a low mileage Approved Car just come in.
As we were in Southwest London we had to arrange everything over the phone including videos of the car which needed some bodywork repaired and completing all of the various procedures and signing documents over the phone. Richard Price handled everything with care, courtesy and speed and was extremely reassuring and helpful throughout the whole procedure.
My parents in law went down to collect the car once the MOT, Service & repairs were completed and everything ran according to plan. They rang to confirm that they were very happy with the car and that it drove really nicely and in fact looked like a new car.
I am delighted with the service that Caffyns and Richard Price in particular gave us and we now have a lovely car to show for it. I can highly recommend them and thankyou very much.

I purchased my XC40 from Caffyns Volvo Eastbourne last December and the experience has been deeply disappointing. I was clearly told the car came with three years of servicing or up to 30,000 miles. When the first service became due, I was informed it would cost £395, with next year’s service set to exceed £600.

When I challenged this, I was told the salesperson was no longer with the company. That response is unacceptable. It doesn’t change the fact that I was given incorrect information at the point of sale. Had I been told the truth, I would have budgeted differently.

The aftercare has been extremely poor as well. I was promised a follow-up call after 100 days of ownership, but nothing happened. It’s a real shame because I genuinely love the car, yet the lack of support has left me questioning whether I’d buy from them again.

The whole experience suggests the focus was on making the sale rather than providing honest information and proper customer care.

Collected Skoda Elroq after 12 weeks the car was delivered to me in an unclean unwashed condition.The driver side foot mats were black and dirty. It was certainly not how I expected my new car to arrive.
I gave it a good clean and all was well I thought, until I took it on the motorway and it started veering off to the side and generally felt unsafe to drive. The nearest garage was a Kwik fit who checked vehicle over and discovered the two front tyres were warped and buckled. Possibly from sitting around strapped on for a long period of time? Who knows.
The tyres were changed and report photos etc. were then sent to customer services who would not take responsibility for this. They took weeks to even get back to me and when they did they said they wanted to see the tyres do I still have them ? Oh yeah there knocking around the house somewhere! No I don't have the Their response was as Kwik fit is not recognised by them they would not accept my complaint. I've had so many issues with this car I wouldn't recommend Skoda Eastbourne Caffyns. Terrible handover at branch and difficult customer services.
