I have been using the services of Build My Place for a variety of building projects, both big and small for some 14 years.
The first job to fit some deep skirting boards in an irregularly shaped room, a job too complicated for myself. I found the company through a small advert in a local paper. The job was carried out by Lubo Biliarov quickly and very professionally. During the job I learnt that he was an experienced kitchen fitter, so shortly afterwards I turned to him again to fully refurbish a kitchen in a house we own, stripping out the old, making good and fully fitting a new one, including tiling, plumbing etc. Based on the quality and efficiency shown we asked him to refit the bathroom at the same house, which he did beautifully.
In 2014 I commissioned him to refurbish the en-suite shower room and bathroom of the house I live in. Again carried out beautifully and with the minimum of fuss and mess.
In 2018 I again contracted with the company to build a kitchen extension in our home. This involved the partial demolition of the existing, providing new foundations and rebuilding the room, renewing the roof, including fitting a Velux roof light, fitting a complete new kitchen, installing the traditional appliances, rewiring and re-plumbing. One of the reassuring features when using this company is Lubo’s “black book” of contacts in the building industry who provide him with specialist support. In addition to this work he converted an existing pantry into a wc, which required drainage alterations and the provision of mechanical ventilation in addition to the other standard work.
However it was in 2019/20 that his company really excelled itself. The ridge board of my house broke, causing some of the rafters to slip and there was a danger the roof could collapse. Build My Place quickly came to my rescue organising the complete removal of the roof, the erection of scaffolding, and weather protection, (we remained in the house whilst the work was in progress), renewal of the roof timbers, salvaging and refitting the tiles, the removal and replacement of the solar panels, the replacement of the soffits and fascia boards with UPVC.
More recently they have erected a new fence along the length of the garden and laid a path and patio using Indian Sandstone.
As far as I understand the company is owned by Lubo Biliarov. In my experience he is actively involved in projects the company carries out. A joiner/carpenter by trade he also has many other skills. Not only that he takes a personal pride in the work they carry out. At times it’s as though he’s working on his own house. He is a good communicator and keeps you advised and involved with the work at all times. He freely shares his building experience and advice.
I am happy to positively recommend this company.

Lubo and his company, Build My Place Ltd, were absolutely superb from start to finish. Lubo was friendly, approachable, and genuinely helpful throughout the whole build.

The quality of work on our extension was excellent, with real attention to detail, and everything was delivered on time and on budget – which is no small thing on a project like this. A real standout was how considerate Lubo was while we were living in the house: he even built us a temporary kitchen in the living room so we could function properly during the works.

Communication was great, standards were high, and nothing felt rushed or cut short. We’re extremely happy with the end result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lubo and Build My Place Ltd to anyone considering an extension or major building work

All the work was done to highest standards everything was left clean and tidy.
