Toby and James were fantastic from start to finish. They were enthusiastic and tailored with their suggestions for our trip, presenting various options to work to our schedule and budget, and once we booked we were sent beautifully presented itineraries and notebooks to whip up our anticipation and excitement! The transfers that they organised worked extremely well (special thanks to the lovely Thoko Jili), and the two places we stayed at - Phinda and Fugitive's Drift - were superb and exactly to our taste. Toby was very easy to contact and quick to respond throughout our trip, and we felt well-supported during the entire process. I can't recommend them highly enough and hope to book another trip with them soon!

Bonamy put together a superb itinerary for us within the budget we gave them and including ideas we had ourselves but could not have organised without help. The holiday was flawless, all travel was as easy as it could have been with timings and help on hand when we needed it and extra special touches put in place by Bonamy to make it the most memorable of holidays - Toby came out of his way to meet us while we were in Cape Town to have a chat, buy us a coffee and give me a bottle of champagne to celebrate a big birthday. Two weeks after returning home we are both still talking about everything we experienced and dreaming about it at night! Could not be happier and would recommend without hesitation.

The Bonamy team worked extremely hard to make sure we had an unforgettable honeymoon. The team took a lot of time to understand exactly what we wanted, and then put in a huge amount of effort in to the design and planning of the trip. The research paid off, as we ended up travelling to the stunning São Tomé and Príncipe islands off the west coast of Africa. Isolated, pristine and with a unique cultural and evolutionary history, they were all we had hoped for and more. Thankyou to the Bonamy team for surpassing all expectations.

From the early stages of planning to fine tuning to on-the-fly questions, Toby sought to understand what we were looking for on our trip and dedicated himself to delivering over and above our expectations. Toby and James excelled themselves pulling together a completely bespoke self-driving trip to Botswana and Zimbabwe. Toby worked really closely with me to make sure everything worked perfectly, rearranging the trip several times to make sure it was completely right. They were so patient and knowledgable and just as keen as me to make sure that we didn’t waste a second of our trip and that we got the best out of all the places we visited. They organised a fantastic trip with a mix of super luxurious to simple b&b accommodation and made sure we had the best guides and service at each place we arrived. There really wasn’t anything they didn’t think of. Toby’s knowledge of the area and absolute love of his job really set Bonamy apart from any other providers we spoke to. I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else to pull the trip together - not only was it the perfect holiday but it was also a pleasure to organise!

We were lucky enough to find Bonamy through a friend of ours and they put together our perfect honeymoon. From the first time I spoke to Toby and every time speaking to him or James afterwards, they were enthusiast, informative and helpful in every way. I was given many options and, importantly, all came within the budget I had mentioned at the outset. The only thing that exceeded the service from Bonamy was the amazing time that we had on honeymoon.

Toby and James created an amazing adventure for us. We knew roughly where we wanted to go but their choice of accommodation was brilliant and the whole trip worked seamlessly. Toby from Bonamy Travel recently arranged a holiday for my husband and me to South Africa and Namibia. A true professional, Toby was always available and able to share his vast knowledge and experiences with us. Helping us sift through the overwhelming safari info found on the internet was just the beginning.

As photographers, making sure that we would have access to the best possible guiding and locations culminated in a truly magical vacation. Toby educated us about how safari guiding works allowing for some rather spectacular photo opportunities. Careful consideration to our unique requests were always a part of his recommendations.

While in Namibia we were able to not only climb the Sand Dunes but fly over them in a hot air balloon. Our varied safari locations brought us up close and personal to so many different animals including meerkats, penguins and a pangolin. We had champagne while watching the elephants play at a watering hole and bush coffee after watching lions, and leopards have their breakfast. We chased wild dog, and walked with the giraffes. We photographed zebras and cheetah, birds and monkeys. Our accommodations were elegant and the guiding was amazing. We learned so much and we were made to feel at home in the bush and even spent a surprise night sleeping out under the stars.

The attention to detail on our trip was apparent. Considering we went to five different locations and a total of 7 in country flights, this trip took a bit of planning. Our trip exceeded our expectations and when we return to Africa we will definitely book our next adventure with Toby.

Toby is honest, thorough, diligent and knowledgeable. Last year, we worked with him to plan our 10 day trip to South Africa. It was a fantastic trip: safaris and beach. Everything was seamless. Toby really created a magical family holiday for us. My husband and I were thrilled - as were our kids. We enjoyed working with Toby so much that we are working with him again for another trip next year. I highly recommend Toby. I found that he listened to our needs and created a well-thought out holiday. I trust him completely.

As relative safari novices, Toby took every care to find out what sort of safari experience we wanted, explaining the options in terms of location, time of year, wildlife, style of accommodation and guiding etc. etc.. He then presented us with a small number of alternatives which we reviewed and discussed with him before making our choice. Nearer to our departure we were also able to talk through our preparations. We relied entirely on his experience and judgment and are so glad that we did, as we had the most amazing safari experience, which by far surpassed our expectations. Toby was also able to help us with a second week of 'non-safari' activities on the coast and in the Cape Winelands, using his wide knowledge of South Africa to direct us to lovely areas and hotels.

Great experience with Bonamy Travel, they are commensurate professionals who put together a once in a lifetime trip for me and my girlfriend that neither of us will ever forget. Could recommend any more highly!
