I have never had a bad blow dry but their advertised loyalty scheme is a scam. I’ve been going there for years and did receive a couple of free blowdrys in 2023 after chasing and leaving a review here. Now in 2026, here I am again chasing and Moira replies she will sort out but still nothing. I have written about 5 emails since July 2025. The company needs to adhere to what they advertise

Great bouncy blow dry with Nida (or Nid apologies I can't remember). She was gentle but firm enough to get my fringe and curls looking great and didn't let the hair dryer get too hot on my scalp. Very pleased with the result and will be back. Just a shame you can't request who you want to blow dry when booking.

He made me feel at ease and was so gentle with my blow dry.

I have a hurt elbow and could not do my own hair and he’s made me feel human again! Highly recommend.

Went to the Liverpool street one and the ladies we so unfriendly and frankly rude. Also despite not needing to was hair still charged £40 per person. One of the ladies even tutted at me after i suggested she pin my hair to keep it in shape.

Curls also fell out in 30 mins after leaving salon.

A complete rip off - go to a more reputable place

My sister in law and I were attending a black tie function in London in October. We had never tried BDE and as the hotel were quoted almost £200 for a professional blow dry thought we'd try the Monument branch of salons. I have long hair and wanted smooth 'red carpet' worthy hair and they did not disappoint! It was done so quickly and the results were amazing, it lasted well into the next day even after sleeping on it! I would absolutely recommend anyone to this excellent service, just wish they'd come to Devon!

Blow dry express Canary Wharf is my goto parlour for blow dry. Carlo has done my blow dry twice now and I must say he is really good. He understands hair types well and makes my hair look amazing. I always get compliments.

I have been to the Artillery Lane location multiple times since relocating from the U.S. and absolutely love the two stylist Lou and El. They make this saloon so warm & welcoming, always friendly, and do an amazing job with my styling. I have referred a number of folks to Lou & El as they absolutely are the best. They have done a great job making the saloon warm & friendly.

I had an appointment today at the Canary Wharf branch at 5.15pm and had told the hairdresser that I wanted a simple wash and blowdry, as I have very fine and fragile hair. Not only was I given the wrong hair do, I had to repeatedly ask the guy to not pull my hair unnecessarily . This is the calibre of hairdressers at this salon. Please do not waste your money.

Pre booked an up do for a work event with some colleagues. The booking wasn’t correct we booked for 3 appointments which should have taken 2.5-3 hours and were all out within an hour. The guy doing our hair spent all his time telling us why he couldn’t do what he wanted and when we came out all 3 of us would have looked better had we done our own hair, we asked for alterations to the styles which were accommodated but it was evident that the stylists skills were not up to the task so we left £64 each worse off and had to redo our own hair in the hotel. Absolute joke!

Absolutely shocking service, stylist had no clue, I block booked 3 appts 3 hours and was assured 2 stylists would be available. Only one stylist who was incompetent and the updo’s were really poor and came out within 30 mins. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Already booked for next week! I was very surprised to read all the negative reviews as my experience today was faultless. I decided to google a blow dry bar near my office and booked an appointment online easily for a time that suited me and paid a fair deposit. This is a new branch of blow-dry express and Anna was amazing. Speedy and skilled she washed and blow-dried my hair into bouncy curls in just 45 minutes. This was perfect for a lunch break blow-dry I had time to grab a sandwich and be back at my desk within an hour. My hair looks amazing and I feel fabulous, thank you Anna and see you next week.

Booked a curly blow dry at the Spitalfields branch - the girl doing my hair turned up 10 minutes late, declined her colleague’s offer of help (which would have avoided me being in there 90 minutes!!!!!!!), went 30 minutes over the appointment time & despite showing the girl a photo of how I wanted my hair and receiving the response of ‘sure, no problem’ it looked absolutely nothing like what I asked for - she then used CURLING TONGS on my hair as the back was completely straight what a total nightmare! I was 30 mins late to meet a friend, I said that I was not happy to pay but was told that I HAD TO PAY and was given the manager / owner’s number - called her - absolutely zero skills in customer service whatsoever, super defensive offered zero apology or refund only a ‘treatment’ despite me clearly stating the reasons for my complaint. AVOID AVOID AVOID. Happy to grab your money but won’t admit to messing up! Will never return. Owner needs to train her staff properly and take some courses in customer care.

I had a very traumatic experience here today. Firstly, I tried to make an appointment online and the website booking system would not work. Eventually I called up and managed to book directly on the phone with the manager. I arrived to the appointment 8 mins late (my fault completely due to traffic) and when I walked into the premises I was informed by the stylist ‘Andrea’ that he had given my appointment to someone else (even though I am a regular) and there was absolutely nothing that he could do. I wasn’t offered an apology and instead he shoved the company framed flyer in my hands and told me to call the owner directly with the number on the flyer. I quite honestly have never been spoken to and treated so unprofessionally in my entire life. He was rude, abrupt and extremely condescending. After speaking to the owner on the phone (who apologised profusely) they offered me a complimentary blow dry at their other salon. I went back into the salon to collect my bag and belongings and I was then verbally accosted by Andrea who was at the back hair wash who used his hands in a derogatory manner to shoo me away and stated “get out of my salon”. I was absolutely flabbergasted that someone in this day and age can be so disrespectful and condescending. Who treats people in this fashion in 2019 and especially in a service business?!! I was a frequent visitor as are a lot of my close friends & colleagues and I have not received an apology from the worker. Whilst I appreciate the good will gesture from management I do not believe this matter has been dealt with in the appropriate manner and he should be immediately removed from the business as how can an organisation operate with such rude staff representing them? I found the entire experience equally alarming and shocking and don’t believe that this person should be working in a customer service based industry.
