We had a successful visit to buy new walking shoes for my husband. Simon was very knowledgeable, attentive, efficient and helpful; Simon’s explanations were clear and he gave my husband information he didn’t know he needed!
The assistant on the till was also very helpful.

Dear Store Manager,
I am writing to share the outstanding experience I had at your Sheffield The Moor branch. I was shopping for a camping trip and had already visited several outdoor shops looking for a specific table, without any success.
Upon entering Blacks, I was greeted by an enthusiastic young woman named Molly. She listened carefully to my requirements and guided me through the store, pointing out specialized equipment and current promotions. She showed me a foldable table with a storage bag, highlighting a half-price add-on deal. When I jokingly asked if there were any other deals I shouldn't miss, she enthusiastically replied, "Yes! And there is only one left."
As a result of her excellent salesmanship, I went in for a table and left with a brand new 3-person Kampa tent, which was far superior to one I had looked at in Decathlon just 15 minutes prior. I also purchased Nikwax and several other items, all at an incredible price.
Molly’s product knowledge and passion were infectious. In fact, I was so excited that I set up all my new gear in my back garden as soon as I got home. She is an absolute credit to your company, and I wish more retail staff took their roles as seriously as she does. I also want to mention the lovely colleague on the till who was chatting and sharing a laugh with Molly; their positive energy made for a wonderful shopping environment.

First time hiker looking for advice and boots. Served by Simon aka Trav, he was helpful, attentive and knowledgeable, I initially went for a particular boot and he talked me into buying a cheaper one which he suggested was better for what I needed, and he was right. Well done Simon aka Trav, a credit to your company.

Staff very knowledgeable and helpful service is second to none

Great store, we have just started camping so we’re unsure of what we needed. Jade was brilliant and very knowledgable, really helped us choosing the tent and other things. Would definitely recommend.

I would like to have given 0 stars but that wasn't an option. I purchased 2 pairs of shorts online and phoned the store to ask how long I had to collect, I was told 2 weeks. I planned to collect in the second week as I would be in the area then. After one week, the store issued a refund so the whole online shopping exercise was a waste of my time.

I visited the Sheffied Moor store to buy some new walking boots. Mollie served me on the shoes and was knowledgable, friendly and patient whist I tried on a wide range of options. Based on Mollie’s advice on the fit of the shoes, I made a purchase of some Merrell MOAB3 which have been very comfortable and ideal for my walking needs.
I’d also like to shout out Jade on the till who was also helpful during my visit.

The staff were fantastic went above and beyond to help us with all aspects of our purchases.

Outstanding customer service.
My 18 year-old's boots (bought a couple of years ago in a different shop) were uncomfortable. We were open to buying a new pair, but Trav showed us how lacing them differently should sort the problem out. No pressure whatsoever to buy what we didn't need.
He also found a perfect pair of insoles for my boots, put them in and was keen to make sure they were really right before I committed to them.
Could not have been more helpful.

Trav and Jade went the extra mile today. Trav took the time to offer advice on a product whilst not being pushy.
Jade listened to my concerns over a prior purchase and sorted out an exchange. Both were cheery chirpy and made my day!

What a nightmare, I’ve given a 5 star rating due to members of staff in the store on the moor in Sheffield. I ordered 2 items online and received them, they wasn’t suitable for me, so wanted to return them. Well I then realised that I had used an incorrect email address (which was accepted online!) so I contacted customer service support explained the issue and asked if they could alter my incorrect email address! They couldn’t, so instructed me how to get a return started, which I did but couldn’t receive it due to this issue with the email address. I contacted them again and was informed that they could see my return request and if I wanted to have them send me the returns label. I said yes please and then waited. After a couple of days I had to contact them again at this point I was informed that they couldn’t send it me and advised me to go into store. If I was informed of this at the beginning I could have sorted this a couple of weeks before. So I ended up going into store and the 2 staff on was brilliant, they listened to me and looked into it and finally they sorted it within minutes. I thanked them and told them they had made my day! This was on Friday 5th June. So please send my gratitude to them again.

Lovely helpful staff, encouraged to try on my order to check it fitted , also I saw a Tshirt i decided to buy and again taken to fitting rooms to check fit.

Staff was really friendly, especially Kye she was really helpful, made finding what I needed really easy.

Ordered on-line and even though I ordered my size they were too small. I returned them to a branch to exchange but to be honest, I found the shop staff a little bit arrogant, as in "oh joy" muttered when I explained my return and an "I can't be bothered" attitude.
