Horrible company
Horrible company. I placed an international order from them including several figures. The shipment was somehow sent back to them by customs. So it never arrived. But on the way back to them the shipment got lost. And they refused a refund. The tracking clearly shows that I never received the package, and it is their responsibility to solve this with their shipmet company, yet my money is gone. Very unprofessional. Stay away from them.
Not as good of a supplier that I had thought.
I had ordered two previous items from BBTS with good results. And I posted a positive review for them. Fast ship, boxes and items received in good condition. But I just ordered 2 more items on 2/7 and the package wasn't received until 10 days later. It wasn't even shipped from them for 5 days after the order was placed. Also both display boxes with the items in them had damage and not from shipping. They were already packaged and shipped that way. Not what I was expecting based upon my last purchases. When you're buying expensive collectables you don't want damaged boxes before you even receive them. Now I question buying from them in the future because the track record of 2 good display packages and 2 bad is telling me you have a 50% chance you're going to get something not right. And that's not worth the risk...
“In-box” NECA collector
If you’re an “in-box” NECA collector, BBTS grades their boxes so you know what you are getting. I have had a positive experience with BBTS; most of my shipments have arrived in MINT condition. If the package arrived damaged, they were very good at making it right. I do recommend BBTS for collectors. NECA makes it difficult with that annoying Hanger Tab.
Terrible customer service, misleading information,
Having never ordered from this business before, it came highly recommended for their customer service and reliability. One order is all that it took to see that is not a universal experience granted to their customers.
I had placed an order for a couple of dolls as an anniversary gift, a re-release of the Monster High Reel Drama set, which my fiancee had wanted the Draculaura since it came out when she was a child.
I placed my order, and received the option to send out the other doll when the release date came. The other still listed that it not in stock yet, but estimated for september. September passes, then October.
I call them to understand what is going on, I'm informed that sometimes it happens with pre-orders. Just be patient, we haven't received it, but I can assure you it's on it's way. You'll have it in time for your anniversary.
November passes. then December. I call again. I tell them I was told it would be in, and I'm still waiting. My anniversary is in weeks at this point. They apologize, the woman on the phone tells me that their shipment from Mattel got split, so they received part of the order, the other would be in shortly, and that if I opt to send out the first doll, they could possibly do something on the shipping for the Draculaura. I say thank you, and go on my way. I send out the doll, receive it, and wait for news on the Draculaura.
Two more months pass, that brings us to this past weekend, when I see that the Draculaura pre-order was quietly cancelled, no longer shows as pending. I call. Speak to an associate at the store who hears me out, understands why I'm upset, and offers me a callback from her manager.
Today, Manager calls me, listens to me for about 10 seconds before telling me there is nothing they can do. I explain that now, due to them reassuring me that it would come, I as a consumer have lost the ability to purchase the item. If they had been up front with me, I could have gone to another seller while I still had the opportunity without paying overcharged prices from scalpers and resellers.
I had turned down a local offer because this was "on the way".
I held the pre-order past my anniversary, and showed my fiancee to tell her what was on the way.
All I received was "what do you want me to do about it?" and a handful of very non-sympathetic, business-approved "We're sorry's" in an unauthentic tone.
Terrible service, Terrible people. Nothing but lies, and if this review stops even one person from trusting this company while building their collections, I will be pleased as punch.
I lost multiple pre order down payments...
I lost multiple pre order down payments because they no longer offered the financing I used. And they wouldn't give me store credit for all of it, that could have been used to purchase something else. Very disappointed by their methods.
Delays, hidden costs and awful customer service
Ordered in July... still not delivered. Clearly have no clue how to manage supply chains and acccout for shipping times. On top of that they dont include all costs in their prices so got stung with additional costs. Clearly again have no clue how to understand incoterms and international trade and on top of these fundamental failures their communication and customer service is atrocious... instead of helping they just deflect and ultimately despite paragraphs of nonsense dont offer any help at all. Stay well clear of this god awful company!
Buyers Beware
I ordered an action figure from them in August internationally. For some reason the customs returned the item back. As of mid-December they still haven’t refunded my money, for something that wasn’t my fault. They claim they didn’t receive the parcel back. Horrible company with no regards for their customers. There’s no way of you getting your money back if something goes wrong with the shipment. Beware and stay away!!
Super David
I cannot say enough good things about the customer service I received from BigBadToyStore, specifically from David. I reached out regarding a shipping issue that was entirely my own mistake, and despite that, David went above and beyond to help resolve it with patience, kindness, and professionalism.
At no point did I feel dismissed, or judged. Instead, I was met with understanding and a level of courtesy that is increasingly rare in modern day. David didn’t have to step in to save my tail the way he did, but he chose to, and that speaks volumes about both his character and the values of BigBadToyStore as a company.
This was easily one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time, especially during the busy holiday season. He could have easily just let things play out, but he didn't. Because of David, I will continue to support BigBadToyStore and will confidently recommend them to anyone I speak with.
If you’re reading this and have the chance to work with David, know that you’re in excellent hands. Outstanding service, genuine care, and a reminder that “happy little mistakes” can still lead to great outcomes.

Good customer service
I am from germany and had a very good experience. A small part was missing, but the customer service was super nice and helpful. It was a preorder and I think I had to wait a bit, but I don't mind things arriving a bit late as long as it's not a gift for someone. Expect to pay customs though.

I hate to be that guy to give these one star, because I have been ordering quite bit from them in the past. I have found their customer service to be challenging in the past when my items boxes came damaged. And this new situation that occured will neither be solved - I can't even contact them about it cuz I already know they will do nothing about it. And my time will get wasted as well.
I ordered the set of 'NECA Gremlins 2 - The New Batch' figurines, consisted of 6 mogwais. I was told through customer service that all these 6 also came in their own box - like in a set box for protection. That was at least how I understood their statements on it.
I then was prepared to get mint figurines on cards. At least a lot bigger chance for that.
When I recieved the package it was all intact, but inside the 6 cards was without any "set-box" and each card had some kind of damage on them. Ofc there could be a chance that the cards still would be mint without a set box, but yeah, that was neither the case.
This sucks so much for someone who wanted to keep these figurines mint in their boxes for display. But BBTS couldn't care less.
I am fuming cuz I paid a lot for these. I live in Europe and it is both expensive shipping and customs on top. And there is absolutely nothing I can do about this issue. Contacting the support is not an option either.
You can do better BBTS - but you choose not to be.
Damaged Boxes
I had purchased figures in collector grade. Upon opening the brown collector grade boxes, the actual figures' boxes were discovered in damaged condition. I reached out to their customer support team, but they didn't want to correct the problem. The figures have damaged boxes when I paid extra for collector grade.
Cool stuff, safely packaged, & delivered on time
I've purchased 2 items over the years from BBTS (a monster hunter statue and an anime nendroid). Both came in on time, were marked as fragile so that shippers would handle it with care, and were quality items. If you want to find some cool anime and video games figurines, I recommend BBTS.
I thought I would also mention, I've tried buying cool anime figurines from other websites and almost all of them are scams where they take your money and stall you (not shipping your item and making excuses) until the refund period runs out. But BBTS isn't like that. I've never had a problem with ordering from them and it makes me happy that there is someone legit in the US who sells game and anime characters. Trust me, you want these guys to stick around and not leave your orders up to the whims of foreign companies.
Extremely good customer service super…
Extremely good customer service super nice and helpful. Great selection of products. My only negative is when I pickup my package I get a wired look because the package says BIGBADTOYS on it and they think it som thing dirty. Did have som pre-Oders problem but was quickly solved ;-)
A trustworthy store
Thanks to these guys, I finally managed to get my hands on the 2.0 hottoys darth maul (which is sold out/waitlisted in most stores). My package arrived quickly without any problems, and to my suprise, the box arrived inside an extra box, which felt pretty awsome (Sideshow never did that to me without extra payment).
Very disappointed with their service…
Very disappointed with their service and costumer service. I ordered a toy, which got withheld at a station due to some issue with it such as being damaged or defective, and the delivery services sent a report to BBTS so that they can decide whether to still proceed with the delivery, be returned and refunded or send a better one. I contacted BBTS about this, but BBTS Costumer service instead keeps telling me to contact customs/delivery service which I already did multiple times and is actually how i got the information that my order was not being delivered and why. BBTS costumer service does not even acknowledge the information I repeatedly gave them about checking the report in any of their replies, much less look for it or read it. It's been over 2 months since I bought this object and over a month since it's being withheld, with the delivery services still waiting on an answer from BBTS, that for some reason, either refuses to contact them or is ignoring them, and only reply to me every 4 days with the same answer that i should contacting customs AGAIN... Feels like i'm talking to a generative response AI.
This company is a joke. Stay far away and stress free
They are trying to charge a tariff surcharge lol. Tariffs has always been around and as soon as it is in the news they use it as an excuse to jack up the prices on a preordered item. I preordered with them not too long ago before they came up with that dumb idea and it ended up getting cancelled because they were out of stock. This company is a complete joke and you should stay far away. There prices are a joke too. They will definitely jack the price up on you at the last minute and that's if you even ever actually receive your item.
Received package within time frame
Received package within time frame. Extremely well packed and in great mint condition. Promp response from customer care to a question. Definitely will buy again.
unreliable imports
This website is legit but it’s very unreliable with imports. You can easily get items in stock from them in about a week or two, but if it’s imports good luck! I’ve ordered from them before and it was just wait after wait. Yes my items WERE pre-order and I was willing to wait but they delayed the item I pre-ordered for another two months, ok sure I’ll wait then I get my item. I order another pre-order item and there it is again ANOTHER delay and I still haven’t received it yet, this item I pre-ordered was suppose to arrive last quarter yet I’m still waiting. If you want imports please use other sites such as hobby genki or Ami Ami because they actually get their pre-orders on time unlike BBTS.

I ordered A Major League Wrestling Alexander Hammerstone figure for a good price, and awesome shipping prices to Australia, I would order from them again
