I bought beetles gel polish at Christmas. My nails were badly damaged but I blamed myself for peeling the gels off. I bought these a few weeks ago and painted my nails with them ready for Easter only for the same sensation to come back instantly. My nail bears felt SOOO bruised like I had trapped my fingers in a car door. I had them professionally taken off later that day and I am not left with incredibly bruised nails (see pictures!!!!) And sore/sensitive fingers. If anything like Christmas i will be a few months before I get my nice normal nails back! Having read other reviews this is very common!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!! I don't usually have side effects to anything so there is clearly something in these that are dangerous

My nails are bruised and damaged from this. Really unfortunate as it sets well and it does last with beautiful colours. It's really hard to come off. I got the itchy symptoms that pepple are complaining about.

Awful atrocious customer service. Ordered on Dec 10 and still hasn’t arrived on Jan 6 and all they are offering is ten percent off my next order… there will be no next order I promise that

I bought a gel set with UV lamp from Beetles. I did my nails and a few hours later my hands were burning! I had had a reaction to the gel. When I searched online I saw there were multiple people who have used this product and their nails have been damaged too! My nails have turned black, are bruised and I have had to seek medical advice. I will not be using this brand again and I really urge others to be careful when putting this on their nails.

Got tired of regular nail polish flaking, so tried out the gel nail polish I bought my kids ( that sat untouched after a few uses ) . Was painful during the curing, painful/fingernails throbbing during the night. I googled reason in the morning, none of them good, took it off.(Luckily they all peeled off pretty easily) It's been 3 days. My fingernail STILL feel like they've been slammed in a car door. It's been real painful and downright excruciating if I do bump a finger into something.

I ordered this Halloween-themed coffin-shaped nail kit directly from their website because they boasted a "free $30 gift with purchase." I thought, why not? I already buy a bunch from them on Amazon anyway, so why not order directly from them? It took longer than their website stated for me to receive the set, and everything came separately. Upon arrival, the Halloween set box was damaged all over, and the corners were coming apart because it had been sent in a soft plastic mailer, not even a bubble mailer. There was no protection at all! I saw an ad on FB where this girl had received the set as a gift from Beetles, and surprise, surprise, hers came in an actual box, and the coffin box itself was not damaged!

The free items were some expired nails (manufactured in 2022, expired July 2025, received as gift in the end of September 2025) nails and a polish color that I will never use. And I looked them both up on Amazon, too. The nails were in much older packaging, in a smaller tip count than what they sell now. The value was not as advertised. Both the Halloween set and the "free gift" had Amazon labels on them too. I probably should have just ordered directly from Amazon instead. If I had, the box probably would have been packaged better and not come crushed.

When I opened the Halloween set, the experience was lackluster. The first thing that I noticed was that they had crammed some false lashes into the box. They have nothing to do with nails, so I don't understand why they were even in there. They aren't shown in any of the ad photos either. I don't wear false lashes, so they'll end up in the trash. There were also only 5 brushes, instead of the 6 shown in the listing. The "e975" polish is actually "a975", but I don't know if there is a difference, or if it's just a typo on the listing image. Same with the "dp573, which is actually "bp573" in the box. Again, no big deal.

But even after all of this, the thing that I had the biggest issue with was the fact that I left them a 3-star rating on their website. Not too much later, someone else also left a 2-star rating on the Halloween box set, with some of the same issues that I had had with it. About 3 days later, both of our reviews were removed, and more 5-star reviews were added. They gave no explanation, didn't offer to remedy the situation, nothing. I didn't even contact them directly because it wasn't really THAT big of an issue to me. Had they left the review up, I would have just let it go and kept ordering from them. I tried to leave another 3-star review, and two others posted low ratings after mine, but all three were removed within a couple of hours. I coudn't leave a review on Amazon since I didn't purchase the box from there. I'm sorry, but if a company is so shady that they can't withstand some truthful low-star reviews, then they don't need my business. I have not purchased since, and never will again. I'll use up all of what I have on hand, but I will never send another person their way.

Shame on you, Beetles. I have placed at least 45 orders, most often for multiple items per order, for your products on my Amazon account since 2021, some of them even after I left the initial 3-star review on your site. But now, you have lost me as a customer for life. I'll find somewhere else to spend my money.

I bought this complete set for my daughter. She practiced on me-but either the lamp or polish made my skin sore.
My daughter had a very severe reaction. Her face and lips swelled, her fingertips actually blistered, and she suffered a very hot/red rash on her skin wherever she touched it.
She never even applied the polish straight in her fingernails-instead using it on clear nails and glueing on afterwards.
They advertise as ‘Toxin Free’-but there is something in them which is potentially dangerous. We never had issues having our nails done before.

Please do not buy their products.. first time I’ve tried it I was over the moon with the quality and price. However… now my nails are sore and hurting on every single finger and cannot use the products anymore..

This is the best entry level- cheap but not cheap quality . Great Balance in price and quality, I am a student at cosmetology school and believe me I seen everyone say that this give you allergies and to stay away from beetles. Overall the allergies come from user error, not curating enough time or having a cheap curating lamp please read the back of the bottles it tells you how much you need to curate for and check how much watts your lamps curate.

I brought the beetles product from Amazon bc I saw a YouTube video and I said great. Something easy than dip. I love dip but messy. Anyway, I finally tried the product yesterday. Very easy to apply, but after a couple of minutes to an hour, I started to feel bad on my thumb. I tried to see if it goes away but the pain became stronger. I barely could sleep. Finally, I went and took off the product and the nail. I felt relief. It still hurt and my nail is nowing trying black like it's bruised. I will not recommend this product. I wish I read all bad reviews of this product first. This never happened to me before. I'll stick with the dip. People listen, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT 😒 BE AWARE.

Love the color and fast curing. Base coat should just be called base coat and not foundation. It does get a little messy but that my just be for sertan people.

Second time this has happened but my nails are completely bruised and so sore - there are little blood bruises forming under the nail!

Diabolical service didnt bother to tell me one of my orders wouldnt be delivered until june and had to constantly chase for a cancellation/ refund and just tried to return another order which id only opened to inspect and had the audacity to only offer me 20% back and refusing the return AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! Nothing but scammers who are happy to take your money but take a week to reply to emails

Was so excited when I got these. Using them for the first time wasnt a great experience.

My nails are completely ruined, bruised black and purple, thin, fingers are cracked peeling and extremely painful and caused my lips to swell too. I have body rashes and my fingertips are swollen.

Do not buy beetle products. Something in it isn’t right.

Save your fingers and trust the negative reviews.

On the surface it looks like this product is great. Cured well, good range of colours that are well pigmented with good consistency. However, there is something in this formula that must be incredibly toxic, especially in the darker colours, as the skin under my nails is now absolutely ruined, calloused, burned and stripping my nails away from the beds. I've never had this happen with any other nail product. Believe the negative reviews. Do not buy from Beetle.

Avoid at all costs.

Severe bruising under my nail bed and extreme pain.
This nail polish is extremely dangerous!!!
