Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take all comments seriously and strive to provide clarity where there may be misunderstandings.
We understand your disappointment in not being selected for our programme, and while we regret that the process has left you feeling this way, it is important to address some inaccuracies in your review.
Application and Interview Process: As a charity with limited resources, we carefully assess each application to ensure that the programme will meet both the handler's and the dog’s needs. Interviews are conducted in person to evaluate compatibility and create the best possible outcomes for both parties. We make every effort to provide reasonable notice for interviews, but flexibility is often necessary due to scheduling constraints.
Selection Criteria: Our selection process is rigorous, as we are committed to pairing dogs with families where they will have the highest chance of success. Unfortunately, not every applicant can be matched, but this decision is never made lightly or without thorough consideration.
Confidentiality Clauses: Our contracts aim to protect the privacy and dignity of all parties involved, including handlers, their families, and our staff. This is standard practice to foster a respectful and safe environment, not to stifle legitimate concerns.
Cost Transparency: As a registered charity, the fee charged is a contribution towards the extensive training, care, and support provided for each dog, as well as the ongoing aftercare for families. This model ensures the sustainability of our programmes while adhering to our charitable mission.
We are a small organisation working hard to help as many families as possible, including employing and supporting autistic individuals. While we strive to provide an autism-friendly experience, we recognise that no process is perfect, and we are always open to improving where possible.
We are proud of the positive impact we’ve had on many families and will continue to prioritise our mission of transforming lives through assistance dogs. Unfounded and harmful accusations do not reflect the values or reality of our work.
