Hands down, Ashoori Law is a firm that you can rely on. As a greencard holder working abroad, It can be quite a struggle to do your own legwork in applying for a travel document. I tried looking up other lawfirms that could help me but found that they seemed more interested to engage me in a chargeable phone consultation rather than answer my questions. A sharp contrast to the time when I did my own filing, where I had to book an appointment with a USCIS field office only to find that they don't accept applications there. I've had to do the runs and review the tediously worded process from the USCIS website, print documents, mail them and hope that it gets through without hitting a snag (it did). With Ashoori Law, I definitely felt represented and truly was by a professional team that kept me posted and were very responsive to my questions. I’m writing this review to share my honest and personal experience working with Ashoori Law regarding my EB-2 NIW petition, in the hope that it might help others who are considering similar legal representation.

After signing the agreement and paying a significant portion of the legal fee, I was referred to a secondary attorney by Ashoori Law. From that point on, Ashoori Law took no further part in my case—neither oversight, support, nor even basic responsiveness to my questions or concerns. The entire case was handed off without any clear indication of ongoing responsibility.

The referred attorney unfortunately did not complete the work thoroughly. Many key documents were missing or not attached to my petition, and several critical errors or omissions were never flagged or corrected. The responsiveness was also disappointing—at times it took several business days (or longer) to receive replies to simple questions. This caused significant delays, frustration, and stress during a time-sensitive immigration process.

Most painfully, I ended up spending months of time, thousands of dollars, and a great deal of hope—only to receive a denial, without receiving any meaningful analysis or collaborative strategy to improve or refocus the petition. When I expected teamwork, I felt abandoned. When I hoped for a second chance with a better plan, I was told the engagement was terminated.

To make matters worse, I’ve seen peers of mine work with other law firms who, in similar situations, either refunded part or all of the legal fees, or at least provided a new case filing at no charge to make things right. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I was left with nothing: no solution, no path forward, and no shared sense of responsibility.

I understand every legal case has risks. But I believe clients deserve transparency, accountability, and respect—especially in matters as life-altering as immigration. I sincerely hope Ashoori Law and the referred attorney reflect on this feedback and do better for future clients, especially those from vulnerable backgrounds or underrepresented countries. For me, this experience was emotionally and professionally devastating.
