Aquavista Waterside Ltd Anmeldelser 

I am writing this on behalf of my daughter who was taken on by Aquavista on the 1st of April 2023 as a holiday boat cleaner. This was an ideal job as my daughter had suffered from mental health issues and a quiet environment was preferable. After numerous members of staff leaving they offered my daughter a role as head housekeeper. She accepted and worked really hard for the company as they were still extremely short staffed. After approximately 2 weeks my daughter was told that there was no such role as Head Housekeeper. She continued with her position anyway. All was going really well and on the 1st August, her manager had a meeting saying that she was going to sort out a proper contract and assured my daughter that she would have a job through the winter months. Four weeks later the same manager said that there had been many complaints about the cleaning that my daughter had done. No evidence was produced to collaborate this statement. On no occasion did this manager sit down and see if anything could be done to help as regards extra training. My daughter was dismissed on the spot!! The HR department was contacted in a hope to get some sort of understanding as to why this had happened and she was promised a call. Needless to say no call was forthcoming! My daughter is owed wages which are due on the 28th September, we will see if these materialise or whether we will have to take action to get these outstanding wages.

We were really touched by the kindness and generosity of the staff at this campsite due to illness within the family. They went above and beyond, thank you. This site is perfect for trips into Bath and we will stay here again due to its location. Can’t wait for the facilities to be updated though as they are very small and need modernising but the staff do their best to keep it clean. All in all a lovely relaxing trip. Thank you to the lovely female member of staff who helped me with our pre-booked pitches for my in-laws. They are looking forward to their trip next year. Thank you.

Unfortunately our experience was appalling and expensive !

We rented a mooring from 1st March 2020 for a 12 month period and paid the full amount in advance. ( £ 7511.00 )

However due to the crime in the area , rude staff and drug use in the area we decided to leave early. Contractually that was allowed if you provided 3 months notice.

After giving the agreed contractual notice period which should have resulted in a 6 week refund of our mooring fee according to their own contract.

After departure we discovered the Marina allowed another paying boater into our mooring space and refused to refund us the 6 weeks refund worth £865.00. Hence they collected rent from us and rent from a 2nd party for the same mooring spot. When I approached their CEO , he couldn't careless.

Absolutely nasty / expensive experience for us.

Apsley Marina

We had a stricken ship! The man from the RCR had given the diagnosis of a dying alternator. Happily, Castle Marina was not too far away and they were able to give us sanctuary whilst a replacement was sourced and fitted. The people there were fabulous - supportive, reassuring, professional and most kind to us. You know who you are! My dog was also grateful for the fuss and treats. Marvellous job, thank you all so much!

Outstanding Customer service from Daniel at Galgate!

The staff are always helpful and friendly. The washrooms are always clean and include a good sized room with big shower, washbasin, toilet, stool etc. There are 2 lovely restaurants next to the marina. Aldi is about 10 minutes walk and the high street about 15 minutes walk. Portsmouth can be reached by ferry. An excellent marina.

We have had the pleasure to stay here two times within the last 6 weeks.
And we feel so welcome. The staff is more than helpfull, have a good sence of humor and we can have a good laugh with them. That is very importent
You can walk along the beautifull riverside to Bath or take the buss just outside the caravan park.

Had a very nice stay in Portsmouth Royal Clarence Marina. The Staff so helpful taking your line on arrival and helping you settle in .

What a great site for Motorhomes with good sized, flat pitches. The staff were friendly and helpful. It has all the facilities that you need with excellent access to the riverside walk into Bath and nearby pubs by the river. Perfect for families, couples and dogs. We’ll definitely be back.

We have just, reluctantly, dropped our boat back to the Napton depot, after 10 days of wonderful exploring, socialising and relaxing. The boat was extremely well laid out, maintained, and equipped with all necessary mooring, motoring and basic cleaning supplies.
All that was required were grocery, personal and refreshment provisions - which need to be organised prior to arriving in Napton! Because, although they have a small supply of emergency essentials, the nearest store is a good days motoring away from the base. The staff were extremely helpful, the use of the locks demonstration and boat handling handover precise and useful, and their suggestions for routes, pubs and supply points invaluable! Fantastic Team - will be booking for next year!

Lovely quiet welcoming marina with really lovely staff. Great facilities.

Nottingham Aquavista, Castle Marina,very poor, place has fell to bits, even from the 2 years they took over now in a much worse state, with no effort to even maintain the easy bits, ( some might say a death trap, ) the poontoons most of them are condemned, and others are heading the same way,
The main gate ( dose not keep unwanted people out) kick it and your in, no fob needed, time it was ripped out and made new and electric, The community how ever have also given up, with the place looking so run Down weeds everywhere, dead plants , the utility room ! What a mess and expensive ( very good place round the corner) at a cheaper price , also the price of fuel cheaper at Sainsbruys( diesel) as for gas and coal ! Don’t uses them get it from elsewhere also a rip off, ask people on the marina they will point you in the right directions for better value for money, Mail !! They no longer take mail as in parcels, and leave them for any one to take , I’m going to think it’s a matter of time and the place will be sold on/ and closed as the company do not give to hoots to what peoples needs are there, and not helpful in anyway,if you want to call me or want to delete this review. You need a good reason with your email to me , then it could be changed , I’m being honest,

Fantastic holiday on our boat "Millie". We sailed from Napton to Stratford and back. We had some amazing times and created memories that we will remember for all of our lives. The boat itself was really well equipped and everything worked perfectly. All the people involved in the shop and setting us up on the boat were really friendly and avoided patronising us even though we are fairly new to this. Fantastic week - we'll be back,

First class price, 3rd class service.

Poplar, Limehouse and Packetboat are utterly atrocious in the way they are managed and run. Staff are unhelpful, often curt bordering on rude and entirely inept. Mooring fees are going up 40% for long time moorers to match the enormous price hike applied to new boaters. There are much nicer marinas managed by actual boaters and not invest bankers penny pinching at every opportunity they can.

Crick Marina.. great location, brilliant staff and walkable to the village. Arrived at Crick marina in 2020. Didn’t intend to stay long, but 3 years later we’re setting off again for another adventure. This marina has so much going for it especially as it’s run by boaters who understand what boat life is. They offer great support and advice and have a relaxed attitude that makes staying here easy.

We berthed at Royal Clarence Marina, Stockport on 17/18/19 & 20 August. Have stayed here before and, in our view, it is the nicest and friendliest Marina in Gosport, for the following reasons:-
1. Berths are quiet and protected from wash from passing vessels as these are tucked inside Burrow Island.
2. There is good shelter from wind as a result of location beside historic Nelson's Victualling Yard.
3. Ease of entry just past Gosport Marina on Port side.
4. Good support from friendly Marina team if required.
5. TransEurope member therefore discounts for Berth Holders from participating Marinas.
6. Excellent individual shower/toilet facilities and laundrette.
The only "against" is walking distance from Marina to Ferry into Portsmouth, but this does stretch the legs after being "boat bound" so perhaps no real complaint.

All the reception staff at Wigrams Turn marina were very friendly and nice. The harbour masters were super helpful! Thank you for a nice start / end to the holiday on our Black Prince narrow boat.

What a fantastic site with the most amazing staff! The site itself if beautifully located on the waterfront with access to a local pub which serves lovely food.

I cant thank the staff enough they cant do enough to help! Even going as far as looking after our dogs for the afternoon so we could explore the city of Bath. 10/10 we will definitely be back.

Well kept marina. Very friendly and approachable staff. Great facilities, showers etc very clean. Relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended
