We prebooked a taxi on Christmas Eve to pick us up from home, the later pick us up from the venue. The cab drivers were great.on time both times. They were polite and friendly and charged what we were quoted. We will use again!

I had prebooked a taxi 7days in advance. I naively thought this would guarantee a car would arrive at the agreed time via their app. Well cometh the hour and call 5mins after the agreed time. I was told they were still looking for a vehicle. What? 7days notice?
App deleted. Never use this company!

Appalling. Pre paid for 4 taxis. 2 of them tried to charge my clients again. All 4 taxis were late. The controller said that was normal.

Guest left waiting for 30 minutes at sub zero temps on return journeys.

Really frustrated about this as spoilt a good night.

Why can’t I put -100? Booked in advance for a journey to the airport. Taxi never turned up and when I phoned just lied, 15 minutes to 20 minutes. In the end after 75 minutes said they were turning up. Family nearly missed flights

Awful service. Booked a taxi the day before for my husband to go to the train station for an early fligh. It was snowing and a bit icy so though it be better to book taxi so I booked the day before just incase as I knew their might be a delay if I booked on the day. Taxi didn't show up. Called operator and they basically forgot and said they would send a taxis driver out as soon as possible. Taxi did not show up for 30 mintues. The tracker showed inaccurate information about where the taxi was. Called the operator and was lied to saying the taxi was outside my house and that their trackers were accurate, they then changed their story to say it would be 10 minutes. In the end my husband had to walk to the station and missed his train.

At the end of the day as I said before it was snowing. My husband would have happily walked to the train station it was just that we though it could get a bit icy and so to be safe get a taxi. If alpha taxi didn't have the drivers or they forgot to make the booking just be honest and say so my husband could have just walked to the station and not miss his train. But the dishonesty just to make money and to inconvenience people is just not fair.

The worst service one can ever get. From operators to Drivers are rude, unprofessional, unapologetic. Unfortunately, Bourogh of Basingstoke is doing nothing to resolve this. Services like these should be kicked out and a new taxi company or Uber should be allowed to operate here.

Appauled by the customer services , i pay alpah and obsece amount of money each week around £260 pounds sometimes more for them to treat me and my son like garabbage . ive expeirneced poor tempered taxi drivers my son is three and needs to attened a specail needs nursery in basingstoke . the cab in question arrived 20 mins late i was not waiting in the rain with my son and having him arrive at play school drenched . today when i booked a cab they refused to turn up stating we didnt pay for the last one and refusing point blank to turn up , have now decided that we have to pay 40 for a cab driver that didnt show up , ive had taxi drivers drive off because i have been changing a nappy they are rude and irritaible if they have to drive out of basingtoke i wouldnt recomend this service to anyone

Booked taxi on the shiny app !! For 6 after receiving no txt at 5.55 called to make sure was booked and was told would be with me shortly after calling back 6.30 was told would be 15 minute then received txt telling me booking was priority and car was on way , 15 minutes later txt to tell me my car was cancelled 😤
Called to ask what was happening and told car had broken down and no other car was available

If there were minus points Alpha would get them.

Have been using Alpha for nearly three years.

Nothing to do with drivers (who are polite and doing their best; I feel sorry for them), but head office are a disgrace - rude, unhelpful, unapologetic and evidently booking in way too many jobs for drivers.

Drivers don’t even know they are 45 mins late for collections sometimes, as head office allocate jobs to them late and out of context of customers waiting for a long time.

I don’t think I have ever experienced such an unreliable service delivered with such incompetence and a more unhelpful head office team across all my experiences as a customer in all sectors.

Basingstoke and Deane should intervene, break up the company (monopoly?), or force the owners to take the business more seriously as a critical piece of infrastructure for the area.

If I could rate 0 I would do awful company ordered a taxi said 25 mins when it came within 5 I asked could you give me a couple of minutes, told me no and drove off. Joke of a company how they stay in business is beyond me

The car looked as though it was Tin on wheels I don’t know how it passed as a taxi , when getting in a strong odour of onions almost knocked us out I haven’t smelt anything as close to that in my whole life. There was yellow and white stains that’s looked like sick or something worse all over the ceiling of the car. Every time the car would go round the bend a noise from the boot would making an unmissable sound as though tools or other harmful objects were left in the back. This is disgusting it only takes some soap to get rid of stains & a spray for smells it is not acceptable & should be seriously looked into , never again will I get in an alpha taxi . The driver was mute the whole journey & kept on stirring through the mirrors which made 3 young girls very uncomfortable this driver needs a serious speaking to. As I said the driver was mute but as soon as two girls got out of the car the driver soon starts talking & questioning the other young girl who was clearly uncomfortable & alone in this particular situation.

Cancelled on us, more than once, including a booking made 12 hours in advance.

I’m not sure what’s going on with this company at the moment. I have previously used them on many occasions but the last two instances will be the last time. So when you prebook a week in advance for a 3.15am trip to the airport and it gets accepted, you assume the taxi will turn up at that time. But no, it seems it only gets looked at at that time and then you have to wait to be connected to a driver. It was still trying to connect me with one ten minutes after it was supposed to be with me so I called the office. They told me that it will be about 10 minutes. 10 minutes later I still hadn’t had confirmation of my driver so I called again. He said it was in gossops green and would be with me soon. I explained I had prebooked and therefore they knew about it ages ago and I was now late and stressed about getting to Gatwick. The car came finally but he said he has come from Handcross way so not gossops green?! The second time I pre booked again giving them the benefit of the doubt but the same thing happened. I called and they said there was nothing in my area at the moment and it was possible the taxi drivers were at lunch?! Erm, not my problem when I’ve booked and had the booking accepted. I asked why they give a pre booking service that you also have money held in your account for something they can’t provide. He admitted they were short of drivers. I had to cancel as was catching a train and was going to be late and booked with United who came straight away. My money is still being held with alpha. They’ve let me down one to many times now so I won’t be using them again. Shoddy service.

The was complaining about him having to pay commission fee if I make a payment by card. I explained that I don’t have any cash and apologised. I pay for the same trip 5 days a week and it is always the same price. On payment screen it said the usual price that I pay and then the driver changed it and overcharged me. I only realised when I got out of the car. I found this very deceiving as I saw a balance on screen that was different to what I was paying and I am not responsible for the commission fee of the driver. This issue hasn’t been resolved hence my one star review.

Taxi booked last night for this morning to take me to station. Cancelled at the time it should have been picking me up. Would have missed train if no other arrangements could be made. Won’t use again.

Booked midday for 9:30pm, for a 10 minute drive. Showed as booked until 9:15 and changed to 10:30, then recieved a messaged at 10:15pm to say the trip was cancelled with no reason why at all. Absolutely ridiculous. AVOID BOOKING AT ALL COSTS.

Pre booked a cab 3 weeks in advance for a return from Gatwick, was quoted a price prior to my holiday , cab turned up 2 hours late to then be told the cab was in a car park told to walk with 6 cases plus luggage and my disabled grandad in a wheelchair , gets to the car to be told by the cab driver my grandads wheelchair can't go in the cab in a empty front seat then told to put it in there after all this drama we are now 3 hours deep after landing to be told its not the price we have been quoted to then pay extra to get home as by this time its 4.30am , will never use this company again

I pre- booked a return journey 4 days in advance online from a Gatwick Hotel to The Surrey Oaks, Newdigate, Dorking. A journey that took just over 10mins. Arrived 15 mins late after a call to say where is the taxi. The return journey was for collection at 11:15 pm. We finally got picked up at 1am. Numerous calls saying it will be there in 10mins, 15mins etc. The service was dreadful. I would not recommend you use Alpha Cars at all.

Absolutely useless. App gives you a time and then keeps changing it. Take a chance and walk home. By the time you wait you may aswell
