Booked three cars a week ago and confirmed in the morning as well but then they cancelled saying cars not available , absolutely disgraceful and will never use again

Have used Alfacars a fair amount and they have been reliable but we booked and confirmed a pick up from Heathrow for our return home and when we landed I had a message to say the booking was cancelled. Called them but no joy and they couldn’t send anyone to collect us. Used another more reliable company to get us home.

Waited over an hour for my last airport pickup nearly the same amount of time this time. Despite lots of assurances the cars on the way it never seems to arrive when they say. Totally unreliable service.
I suggest you find another way if you go back towards Basingstoke.

My £12.40 fare on Sat 30th Sept was debited at £83.40!!
When I checked the app, there had been a £71 tip added on (with, of course, no authority by me).
When I rang, I firstly spoke to an operator whose command of the english language was minimal. She passed me to a guy whose level of customer service was abysmal, at best. I’ve forgotten more than he will ever know. His whole attitude was confrontational, obstructive, rude&aggressive, while continually speaking over me with his pathetic little agenda.
He was flabbergasted that I was querying how/why it had happened. He blamed me. Said my refund ‘should’ be in my account in 5 days - so debited immediately, but days to wait for, what I consider to be theft. Then spoke to a ‘manager’ who was equally incompetent - she continued to blame the payment on me. Not ONE offer of an apology from this joke of a company of thieves.
Interestingly, I checked my CCTV cameras - my account was debited a good FIVE MINUTES before I got into my house, so when would I have added a £71 tip???
Cowboy outfit with either dodgy drivers or dodgy company…probably both.
If you have to use these sheisters, CHECK YOUR ACCOUNT!!!!!!!
Better still, just use a substantially more reputable firm….there are plenty!

£9.00 for a journey that costs £7.00. The taxi was £4.00 when I got in it the taxi did not smell nice and the driver went to go the wrong way twice and was on call to a friend on loud speaker the whole journey. Will never use this company again would walk before I get in another alpher car in Liverpool.

I needed a cab from Manor Royal to Gatwick very short journey. I rang them they said well it’s a short trip but as you have luggage you will need a larger car that will be £20 I said yes as needed to get to the airport. The taxi arrived I asked to go to the north terminal and Hampton Hilton after a couple of minutes the driver said I think the hotels been closed for years, not knowing this we panicked and said we will need to go to another hotel, he drove us to the Travelodge where 2 lovely girls explained the Hampton was still there and get your driver to drop you at the terminal and it is in there. We explained this to him, he took us to the terminal after taking a wrong turning which took another 20 mins. We pulled up at the terminal and I gave him £25 which he said that’s not enough, I said well it was your fault he said it was £37.50, I paid as was becoming very stressed. It felt like we had been ripped off, what should have been a 10 minute journey took an hour and cost a fortune I’m still amazed a week on that this happened. A JOKE DO NOT USE.

What company disgrace!!
Booked an early pick up for today 7:35 sine yesterday 4pm and was confirmed and reserved the money .. still waiting after 25 min which means my kids will arrive late for breakfast club and they will miss the breakfast and I WIll be late for work !!
I you cannot commit do not allow to make booking !!
I feel so furious righ now

Absolutely appalling services with no offer of a solution to collect us from a delayed flight after taking the money weeks before.
These people need reporting, shambles and a scam..!!

Having taken 6 young people to Thorpe Park this morning, which I paid in advance, along with the return trip. Only to receive a call an hour before the pick up time to say they can’t do the return trip. Leaving 6 young people stranded in Thorpe Park, with no alternative arrangement being provided. This is barbaric behaviour from a company that provides no duty of care towards its customers, especially the young and vulnerable. Having taken the money in advance for both trips they are now saying I will not be refunded for a further 7-10 days.

If I could leave zero I would. This cab company is a complete disgrace. Pre booked a car to take me to the airport a month in advance. On the day we were travelling, the car did not turn up. We called the company who said it would be 10 mins. After 10 mins it still didn’t show so we called the company back again who said another 10 mins, again no show so called them again and it was now a 12 minute wait despite already waiting for 20 mins past the booking time. Every time we called, it kept going up and up until we were waiting for over half an hour and was still showing as needing to wait 22 mins. They took our money quick enough and didn’t supply a service. Luckily we called metro cars 01293415415 who told me we were the 20th person already today to be let down by alpha cars but they would send someone to me and would be a maximum of 10 mins which they were and so we cancelled alpha cars never to be booked again. Do not ever use alpha if you intend to turn up at your destination. Instead use Metro cars who are reliable and managed to get us to the airport in time for our flight.

Have tried using this company few times. They can not be trusted to send a car. More than often cars turn up up to 20 mins latest and today just never turned up. Last straw and will never use them again.

Absolutely appalling. Booked well over an hour in advance on the app and then left waiting for over 25mins for pick up. Better off just getting a black cab from the rank

The pre booked return journey was 65 minutes late and the agreed price was challenged.

I have been with alpha for years and the drivers park past my house as im on cruches and they can be rude i told one driver the best way to go and he took offence and threw me out of the taxi, today i orderd again for the last time and i had call back for them so i phoned them back as the taxi was not there and the lady was really rude and continued to argue with me telling me its there when it was not so she said she would handle it and after waiting 15minutes with my baby also i phoned back to get told its been cancelled and i orderd anouther and it was cancelled and i phoned to complain and was told the management would call me back in five minutes and they did not so to me they are rubbish, never again!!! And that was cutting it short my nan was also abused by a driver when she was drunk, i would call DELTA TAXI'S well better than these mugs

I've had a couple of bad experiences, in June I booked a cab to pick me up from Gatwick airport. Alpha had my flight details but didn't dispatch a cab until after I'd landed. I had to call them and ended up waiting 1.5 hours for the car to arrive. Last night (29th August) I booked a cab to collect me from the train station at 23:55, by 12:15 it still hadn't been dispatched so I canceled and got a black cab. This company dominates the market and we've ended up with an unreliable or poor service.

I would give 0 if I could.

Do not trust this company - left in the middle of nowhere after pre booking and a holding fee on my card for over a month. Followed up with emails to confirm that there was a booked taxi and I would have no signal due to being at a remote wedding.

Taxi didn’t turn up but I was told it was a no show (it was actually cancelled by the company 40 minutes before it was due.) we were told multiple times a taxi was en route but after 5th attempt of calling, they said they wouldn’t send one until I sent bank details - they already had these from previous booking. Eventually a taxi came at 1.10 am when it was booked for 11.30.

My business is in Hounslow ordered cab for customer with big tv to go 5 minute drive needed big 7 seater lovely guy come and controller said £18 as need big car for tv happy with that and was going to start using them permanent . THEN called on Monday for customer with tv to go 5 minute journey and was told £40 MASSIVE difference do you controllers know what your doing or just certain controllers trying to scam people

SHOCKING! I pre-booked a taxi for pickup at John Lennon airport for 2.30am after a long flight from Tenerife south and delays with 4 little ones, my partner and my mum I was left stranded at the air port for 1hr 30 mins with Alpha Taxi not having a clue about my booking. After telling them their service was also booked for airport transfer to the Airport at the start of my holiday and to check the system the operator was completely useless. Offering me two taxis for over a hour when I needed a 8 seater. After waiting for the two Taxis that arrived for an extra half hour we finally managed to flag down to hackney taxi’s to take us home after waiting 2 hours in total on the promise it would corrected and transport sent. I will NEVER but using this service again and will make it known how SH—TY of a company you are. No apologies from ALPHA, 4 very distressed little ones.

Haven’t used alpha cars in a while after bad service thought I’d give them a try. Booked a taxi for 12:09 as they told me they have a taxi for now. Rang through again to ask where it twice and was advised by Dawn first that it’s on its way. And again by a man it’s on its way. Still no show! Taxi showed at 12:36 mins before it even arrived. Wouldn’t recommend using them at all. Terrible service! Don’t say you’ve got a taxi for now if you do not.
