Obviously nobody is checking Trustpilot before they decide where to park, and Alliance state they wont respond to any of these reviews, but wanted to add one anyway!

Absolutely disgusting company. Parked in Sea View car park Polzeath to visit the beach. Paid using the machine when we arrived and then added some extra time via the app. It took us a few minutes at the end of our stay to get the car packed up and leave. Now I've received a fine through the post for the sake of 8 minutes having already paid for 3.5 hours of parking on the day!

Apparently the car park is owned by Ann's Cottage Surf Shop. Perhaps they would be interested in reading these reviews, and the ones on Google Maps, so see what an unpleasant experience Alliance Parking have made visiting their village.

Not a worse company than this. Will be avoiding all alliance parking car parks moving forward, absolutely no exceptions.

Received a parking ticket in Nov 2023 for failing to enter car details. Fair enough, although I was unaware local cafe had changed to this system.
Paid the (reduced!) £60 fine immediately on receipt of their letter.
2 1/2 years later, debt collectors letters start arriving for £170. Apparently, the payment was made outside of their 14 day window from date they sent their letter.
Not the date I received it and became aware of it.
I will see these reptiles in court.

A few minutes over time, principally because I'd effectively been 'boxed in'.
No point in appealing - these companies are disgusting.
But hey! That's UK 2026!

Parking fine issued to a disabled driver on a very windy day as the ticket was blown upside down on the dashboard.

Evidence provided to prove payment made, the weather on the day, and the blue badge of the driver. They have ignored this, and infact cited "that if the driver didn't like the terms, they could have parked somewhere else"

Absolute scum profiteering of the backs of genuine acts of nature.

Issued us with a parking notice when we had parked correctly, obviously trying like all parking companies to bully drivers into paying. Eventually acknowledge their mistake, no apology just told us they would let us off 'as a gesture of goodwill!' Warned us to obey their terms and conditions in the future. What an awful vile company! Our Government must do something to ban these evil parking companies demanding money with menaces.

This company are little more than criminals - sending out threatening letters demanding extortionate amounts of money - including thinly veiled threats of resorting to "enforcement" to gain payment. The car park that we allegedly overstayed in had no functioning payment machines when we were there but as the company's websites Appeals section is "conveniently" not available at the time of writing this, there appears to be little option but to pay. If I could give zero stars, that would still be too many.

I received a parking charge from Alliance Parking approximately three years after the alleged event, relating to what was around a 15-minute stay. This was the first I had ever heard of the matter, which immediately raised concerns.
In order to understand the situation, I submitted a Subject Access Request (SAR). Alliance Parking required identification, so I provided a copy of my driving licence as requested. I was then informed that there had been a data breach involving my driving licence information, which is extremely concerning given the sensitive nature of that data.
To make matters worse, more than 10 weeks have now passed and I have still not received the SAR information I am legally entitled to. Communication has been very poor throughout. It is not possible to speak with anyone directly, and emails have gone unanswered.
This experience has left me with serious concerns about their data handling, transparency, and overall professionalism. When dealing with personal data and issuing charges years after the alleged event, there should be clear communication and proper compliance with data protection obligations.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to keep detailed records and be cautious when dealing with this company.

Legalised blackmail. Alliance accepted an appeal then 31 MONTHS LATER changed their minds and instructed TraceDebt to collect £170. TraceDebt have confirmed to me that parking fines can be pursued up to SIX YEARS LATER!! Hobsons Choice - either pay the fine or get a county court judgement against you. Shower of criminals

Shocking. We paid using a parking app approved by Alliance Parking, only to get a fine 3 years later. Never received a PCN. Tried to contact them, no reply. Their business model is to scam you into a fine whether you have paid for parking or not. Needless to say, I recommend you don't park in any of their car parks. These are awful people and would encourage anyone who's had dealings with them to contact the ombudsman to report them.

Horrendous experience like several others i have read. fine for £170 from 2022 , over 3 years ago , when we never received an initial parking charge notice. They say no option to appeal as over the time limit but how could we have appealed when we never received a letter.
I have paid the £60 which would have been the initial amount but refusing to pay more. However they will not accept this.

I took responsibility for a charge notice as I was ignorant of the car park timings at the time, made an appeal for a reduction and not even a write off but it was still rejected.
I think alliance should learn from other private parking agencies to be reasonable and lenient with appeals and also consider that there are some people out there who genuinely innocently and ignorantly make these mistakes.
I can see though, that some reviews have complained same or worse and would advise all be taken into consideration as it does not look good on the overall perception of the company.

Issued me with a £170 fine 3 years after saying I had not paid for a ticket. Obviously aware that I am not going to be able to prove I did have a ticket after 3 years, and following up with threatening letters through a debt recovery company. How is this legal behaviour?

Appeal rejected.County council say they have no jurisdiction over such parking companies and further appeal procedure too convoluted
This soured our holiday visit to Cornwall; aged 85 & 78.-we travelled extensively and have nothing but praise for all towns and facilities we visited apart from this episode
Entered car park only to discover a car park on beach so left my wife who has walking difficulties to investigate
In event we decided to stay so went and paid for 2 hours parking and ensured we were back within that timescale.
Penalty notice came in post to say we had stayed 2 hours 22 mins because unbeknown to us a camera had filmed us on entry
So we have been charged for the short time I went to investigate other parking

This company sent us a fine from December 2022. Obviously we cannot prove that we had paid due to the time that has lapsed. No contact from them just a debt collecting agency wanting £170.00. Extortion at its finest.

On 17th October received a letter from dept recovery for a parking fine in 2022 which I never received
But they want £170
Absolute disgrace 3.5 years later as I always paid but obviously don't have the ticket after this time

AVOID. never received a fine when i parked there in 2022. 17th October 2025 got £170 Debt collection letter.

i tried appealing nothing now taking legal action against me as i have said it is unfair to fine me £170 when i got no fine back in 2022.

This company is awful. Was told there was cameras so just needed to enter reg plate into machine and would tell you what to pay. Machine did not recognise reg plate when that was done. Spent 15 minutes working out what to do and eventually entered reg plate and told to enter time of arrival so had to guess when that was. Machine advised price to pay. Paid that, then got a ticket 2 weeks later stating I had underpaid with camera photos of entry and exit times even though machine didn't recognise reg. Looked at appeal process which could take 28 days for a reply after which fine would have cost £100 more. No opportunity to speak to someone just an online form. Paid fine as knew it was a Scam and no chance of winning appeal.

We were on holiday and parked in SeaView car park Polzeath.
We paid for 1 hour and put the ticket on the dashboard. We are very particular about this sort of thing. We bought a coffee on the beach and left the car park after 45 minutes.
3 days after we got home we received a £60 fine saying we hadn’t paid and we know we had although by this time we had thrown away the ticket.
The letter from Alliance confirmed we left after 45 minutes.
This company is a complete disgusting company extorting money all ways it can. We will never visit Polzeath again and Polzeath businesses should rally together and get this awful company out of the village.
