Have them through HTC cameras only last…

Have them through HTC cameras only last for a year if you are lucky. The 35$ camera I bought 3 years ago off of amazon are working great. But got 2 of these through HTC, whom also monitors cameras and they will not replace even though I pay them monthly for the cameras.

Superb Customer Service

What made my experience great was the high level customer service I received from Erin. We were locked out of our system due to the account switching managers. The third party vendor was not responding to our calls for support. So I reached out to Alarm.com. Erin worked with me for several days as we navigated through the process.

I was completely grateful for her dedication to my case. I will certainly be recommending this company just because of the quality of customer service she provided.

Total crap

Total crap
They give you 3,000 uploaded videos limit and wind blowing a palm tree records 300 videos in 3 days, so you’re out in 2-3 weeks from your allowance, then they want you to buy more. Would not recommend

Very satisfied customer

When the company reach out they were very friendly and with their help we were able to get my camera issue resolved that night. It is nice to see that they will do everything in their power to help the customers. Very fast and helpful response time.

Buyer Beware, owner not straightforward

I received a phone call from one "Arthur" representing Smart Home Security. He told me this was an excellent system and I could access my system even when I was away anywhere in the continental USA. Come to find out, I cannot even access my system from 4 miles away. Furthermore, my contract was NOT smart Home Security, but Dealer-Ally Premier Home Security. Wait for the punch line: The company is really called Alarm.com and then I must pay $19.99 to Dynamark for the monitoring service. The owner is Lauren Pitman. She phoned me to tell me that Pinnacle Finance would be handling this contract and 1. To say everything was up and running (assured me that the "tiny glitch" would be fixed the next day) 2. Do not offer to pay more than the minimum loan amount. I have good credit because I pay off loans faster than planned. Pinnacle Finance found this to be foolish; I pay more than minimum.
NOT ANYWHERE in the contract does it state I have to pay an additional $19.99 to yet another company called Dynamark who do the actual monitoring. Lauren Pitman has refused to answer anymore questions regarding this system. Her comment was 'It's working". Yes on her end, but I am not paying to have it shown working in Tennessee; I need it to work in Florida. I will honor the loan contract as Pinnacle Finance has done nothing wrong, but if you wish to get hooked like a fish, call Dealer-Ally Premiere Security.......... oh wait, doesn't exist. So, I was interested in Smart Home Security but am tangled up with Dealer-Ally Security and the real company is "alarm.com. This widow, 78 years of age has been duped!
I got my service cut off because I didn't pay the $19.99. I still have no paperwork stating I had to pay $19.99 per month PLUS pay off the loan of $4,000.
I have been asked to add more details, but I can only state there is Oscar, Arthur, Lauren (owner) and I still have no documentation that I have to pay $19.99 but Lauren will cut offmy security system if I don't.

NO SUPPORT!

NO SUPPORT! Call the number 877-389-4033. One ring then nothing. Call again, One ring then nothing. thinking I got the number wrong I call again. One ring 3 second pause then a recording. If you want to be a dealer press 1 if your a customer or dealer press 2, billing 3. I press 2. if your a customer needing tech suupport press 1. service provider needing tech press 2. I press 2... sorry we can't help you line goes dead. I try again, if your a customer needing tech support press 1, I press one... please contact your service provider.. oh boy.. I call back give it another go. nope. line goes dead. I get the idea that a sales rep might be interested.. trunk slammers are always chasing a buck. but basically the same result. enter my zip code, straight to voicemail. "Truck Slammer" for those who don't know is an industry term for a company that sells a product with promises of the best of the best and the best service and support and once they install it they pack up slam the trunk and you never see nor hear from them again. buyer beware

I have been their largest residential…

I have been their largest residential video customer for quite some time. I run 30 cameras for 10 years now.

I do not recommend using any Alarm.com video related products. The reason is that they go out of their way to insert software into the cameras that will prevent you from looking at the video feed. By design they will shut off after two minutes, but in reality its more like 15 seconds. Whether two minutes or 15 seconds, it is ridiculous to not be able to view video from a video camera.

I have brought this issue up with high levels in the company verbally and in writing, for which there is only a handful of employees, probably less than 10. No answer was ever given other than that's how they want it to be and they aren't going to change it.

Year by year their products get worse in many ways, I I think they really want to improve the products, but they just don't have the right people to make it happen.

Disappointing Customer Service After 8 Years with Alarm.co

I’ve been an Alarm.com customer for eight years, but my recent experience with their customer service has been incredibly disappointing. Two of my devices—a smoke detector and a carbon monoxide detector—stopped working, so I reached out to get them replaced. Instead of simply helping, I was told I’d need to subscribe to a warranty service for an additional $19.99/month to get the replacements.

I then spoke with the Loyalty Department, where an agent named Alex initially offered to replace the devices at no charge and lower my premium fee to $20/month. I asked for some time to think about it, and when I called back, no one could honor the offer. Worse, Alex was conveniently unavailable, which made me feel like they were dodging the situation.

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a loyalty department, especially after being a loyal customer for eight years. Their lack of consistency and poor service left me no choice but to switch to Vivint, which offers better service, lower fees, and no upfront charges. Alarm.com has lost a longtime customer because of their poor handling of this situation.

BRAVO to Alarm.com and Kaitlyn.

I have a security system put in by Hotwire Communications. They are HORRIBLE and kept me on hold forever and were slow to respond to my emails. In depseration, I reached out to Alarm.com who are part of my security system process. They responded immediately with a phone call and then a detailed message as to how they could help. Whereas Hotwire Communications eventually emailed me an attachement to figure it out myself, Kaitlin from Alarm.com was responsive and succeeded in helping me log back into my security system. She even analyzed why I had the problem. BRAVO to Alarm.com and Kaitlyn.
