Have used Airfordable on about 4 occasions. This time will probably be my last. They claimed the price increased on their end but for the same flight itinerary, after several refreshes, my end continued to show the price I submitted. Not only that, they claim to be connected with American Airlines through their app but their app doesn’t even show all flights available. Granted the difference wasn’t too significant, but it’s the principle of transparency and still charging customers for mistakes that maybe their system isn’t catching. Then having to pay additional service fees because of an increase that again, their system is supposedly catching that isn’t happening anywhere else. Customers already have to pay a few hundred in service fees depending on flights. I just feel it’s important to take accountability when your systems mess up, instead of having the customer deal with that and actually try to find solutions to the problems at hand, instead of repeating the same copy and pasted script in response to an issue.

Airfordable refused to properly review or escalate a legitimate compassionate request related to a family medical emergency. They provided inconsistent and misleading information about refund options and airline policies, and insisted that I either complete the entire payment plan or forfeit all payments already made.
I booked a flight through Airfordable using their installment plan. Before the final payment was due, I contacted Airfordable to request a compassionate review due to a family member being in end-of-life care. I asked what documentation was needed and requested escalation to a supervisor.
Airfordable representatives repeatedly refused escalation, stating they were the highest authority. They also made several contradictory and misleading claims, including:
• Stating that airlines “do not offer compassionate waivers,” which is not accurate
• Requesting a death certificate even after I clarified the person is critically ill but still alive
• Later claiming they only accept medical documentation for the traveler, not the family member (never disclosed upfront)
• Offering no meaningful review or solutions other than:
– Forfeit all payments, or
– Complete the entire payment plan
The company refused to conduct a fair review, provided conflicting policy explanations, and did not act in good faith when I requested reasonable accommodations before the ticket was ever issued.
I have requested a full refund at this time due to horrible lack of customer service, misleading and unclear policies, and the overall bad experience using this company. I will never use them again and I will let everyone I know not to either.

I just tried to book a flight but was told my account has been suspended due to a chargeback. It was stated that the charge was never refunded to the company. My authorized credit card, in which there are 3 of us, was reported for various charges that were not ours. The bank flagged all charges in a specific timeframe and we went through charges one by one. The airfordable payments were not affected. This company is horrible and I am a travel advisor and though about recommending them to my clients but this is bad business. I have asked for their legal department and Ama stopped responding. There should be an internal review process. Saying it is a final decision with no proof that the charges were not refunded to my account is absurd. Afterpay and Klarna is better than this foolishness. Furthermore, when the process supposedly happened they communicated nothing or asked anything.
Update: No thanks! Who offers someone to provide proof on an irreversible decision? Waste of time. Everyone just find another company to go to. They have 2 stars for a reason. This was for $52.00 that was not returned to me as well but the company states they never got refunded….so that speaks volumes. Poor customer service and resolution skills.

I booked tickets in April for a United flight that had a connecting flight through Silver Airways in June. Silver went bankrupt a week before my trip and I had to change my ticket on United to a ticket of less value. Unbeknownst to me, the difference was immediately refunded to Airfordable from United and I was told by United to contact the travel agency. That day I contacted Ama, the founder of Airfordable, who for some reason operates the chat. I provided an attachment with a receipt of the ticket change and asked for a refund. She responded explaining Airfordable's refund process stating that I had to request the refund from United. Lots of back and forth and finger pointing. Turns out United had already refunded the ticket to Airfordable the same day without any action on my part. According to Miss Ama, without specific information she could not investigate my request. But I provided the receipt? Anyway, my refund is being processed finally, 18 days later. Without my insistence, my refund would have continued sitting in Airfordable's account. Very unprofessional and disappointing as a black consumer of black-owned businesses.

My flight was cancelled due to them charging a card I no longer had access to. When I reached out to express the issue that my flight was cancelled without my consent and I was told a $50 reinstatement fee would be charged to continue booking the flight.
I would recommend splitting the payments up yourself. A $50 reinstatement fee is absurd on a $130 ticket purchase. $25 would’ve been manageable but at this point it’s obvious they are just trying to make money any way possible.
Save the money yourself in increments. It’s actually a waste of time in the end to utilize this app when you could just set aside the arrangements yourself. You would think the purpose of the app is to be more efficient when planning travel rather than a set up to get more money from you.
I also did flight comparisons daily when searching for flights and many times the prices would fluctuate. I’m glad I didn’t go for a much larger flight plan, I can grapple with losing $80 but anything higher than that would’ve sent me reeling!
Also giving someone only 24 hours to cancel a flight is…inconvenient. I normally plan ahead so not everyone is taking last minute flights but things happen and you should be able to cancel with more time in mind.
To be honest, this app really not worth it. The high amounts they charge in the splits and the total value they add on to the bills is extremely ridiculous!!! While I know that there must be fees added as a payment, what they are asking for is crazy! Haven’t used it because when you calculate the additional fee they adding on it’s really not worth it.

I used Airfordable 2 years ago to go to Colombia on vacation not one problem paid down payment and 4 more after that ticket was emailed 2 minutes later after last payment no issues also I just booked a ticket to Bangkok yesterday 10/17/24 down payment was 541 this morning I was refunded because Airfordable couldn’t get the ticket they told me change dates so I did hope this time I can get confirmed so all the haters talking about Airfordable it’s either you don’t read terms or don’t make payment or cancelled flight after 24 hours THX AIRFORDABLE MY BANGKOK TRIP CONSISTS OF A LAYOVER OF 18 hours in TOKYO JAPAN CANT WAIT
I have been using them for a few years. I love being able to book my flights when they’re cheaper as opposed to waiting till my money is right. Great customer service as well. I’ll continue to use them!

To clarify, only one option shows for economy. When checked today that option isnt there forthe exact same flight also been in communication with the airline . Funny business but I dont recommend, at least there are other options we all can use such as affirm if push comes to shove.

I would give zero stars if possible. This is the worst company to deal with. 24 Hours after booking any payments made are non-refundable. READ ALL TERMS OF AGREEMENT. I was short on funds on my final payment after paying over $900.00 and the representative Ama told me that if I did not make a payment that day on my final payment than my entire booking would be cancelled with no refund. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I’m currently using this for my ticket for a vacation I have planned this fall. The payments are super easy and affordable. Plus you get the ticket wayyyy before the departure date, which is so much easier. It’s nice that I don’t have to stress about that.

Ever since airfordable updated their app to offer the option to generate flight itineraries instead of using screenshots, I had 2 experiences in the past 2 weeks where I booked a trip (on 2 seperate occasions) and they ended up having to refund me with no penalty when I submitted screenshots for flight itineraries that were cheaper than what they offered through the app... I didn't get notice until nearly 14 hours after confirmation that my flight "was no longer available"... thats bad business in my opinion but I know nothing happens without reason. Good luck to those who use the service but they won't get my patronage ever again 👎🏾
I always use Airfordable, and I’ve never had an issue. I’ve had to cancel a flight before and they tell you the cost is non-refundable if you cancel after 24 hours of booking. If people don’t read that part, that’s on them. I love it to snag the good rate before prices go up, and it really is a worry free system. You pay a little more due to their service fee but if you don’t have all the money upfront for your flight, it’s worth it

We all know that if you wait, the ticket price can increase astronomically.
I had to cancel my trip because I was nervous about getting covid once it first started. I requested a refund through air fordable and explained the situation, they refused. I then disputed with my bank. I tried to use air fordable for an upcoming trip and was told I had violated terms of service, and when I tried contacting customer support no one can give me an answer as to what terms I violated.

I am going to Mexico with my daughter. As a single mom I wanted to make sure that I planned slow and steady to ensure our trip went the way we needed. I started by booking my flight reservation. Two weeks later I was up late night and happened to view the flight noticing that there were only three seats left. My daughter still needed a ticket. I contacted Airfordable immediately. Because it was past business hours no one responded. I then contact Delta directly. I told them that I had a flight through third party and my daughter needed one. They couldn’t book her without tying me to her reservation. Because delta access my flight on behalf of accommodating my daughter they basically blackmailed me into paying my balance of 350 all at once, by end of the same day they contacted me, voiding the payment plan. If I didn’t have the $350 I would of lost all the money I had paid to ward it already because they would have cancelled the ticket for myself. Let’s get into that……. I cannot book a minor but they can cancel my flight while hers would remain effective.
You read that correct. Delta could NOT book her as a minor without tying it to my itinerary and they penalized me for booking a flight for my daughter. I will never book with them again.
We registered for four tickets and two weeks before the flight two of the passengers canceled. The cost was $1,185.14. The last payment of $244.72 is due in 3 days and when I requested for no more payments since payments are nonrefundable and I've already paid $938 for two tickets, Ii was told they would reduce last payment to $122.36 and it is still nonrefundable. This means now I'll be paying $1,060 for two tickets that cost $262.20 each. Why would Airfordable charge another $122.36 to just add to the amount of nonrefundable funds?
