They've charged me for 6+ months, but they did not provide any real service, other than sending a few emails about some companies that seemingly have some connections to your field. Then, they do not put any effort in really connecting you to anyone. Literally, they do not provide any service, but they charge $$$ per month. The customer service people are not interested in knowing about what you want, and they only want to tell you that they'll charge you, no matter what. You can well spend the $$$ to people you know or some master classes and connect with the right people, or attending conferences to introduce you to businesses that need your skills and experience. If anyone is working on a lawsuit against them, I'm in.

The advisory cloud offers a free trial that is extremely difficult to cancel. I spoke to several people and after months of a membership that I did not want beyond the trial period as I mentioned on the call. I spoke to a representative and even one of the higher ups named Chris Beaver who did not respond. Why are they requesting a credit card for a free service. Is this that bad, that people must be tricked into charging the card for a service that is not wanted?

It is easy to schedule a call, much harder to reach anyone other than in the introductory phase. After emails and other introductory calls to explain my situation and each time, they claim it will be resolved, it did not happen.. Finally had to change my credit card number

AdvisoryCloud has been a very disappointing experience and, frankly, feels like a scam.
Before signing up, they called and emailed me repeatedly trying to get me to join. The sales pitch was persistent and made it sound like there would be strong support and opportunities once I became a member.
However, the moment they received payment, the communication completely stopped.
No follow-ups.
No outreach.
No real engagement.
It’s the classic situation where they are extremely responsive while trying to collect your money, but once they have it, you’re on your own. For a service that markets itself as a professional advisory network, the lack of communication and support is unacceptable.
I would strongly caution others to do their research before signing up. My experience has been that the effort goes into selling the membership — not delivering value after the fact.

I was half-expecting this to be a scam. But I didn't even get to discover for myself, because my contact "Dynah" (whose LinkedIn profile is very clearly AI generated) ghosted me before our first call and never responded to my emails.

The company has clearly chosen TrustPilot to spam with fake positive reviews, because most of the other platforms rate these folks very poorly and are full of negative experiences, but the CEO of this company puts the TrustPilot score in his banner photograph on LinkedIn.

very focused on taking your money and claiming "perceived" value, rather than true....

gave them a ton of time and money in past and never anything to show for it....I have been on 5 publoc BODs and many more private ones, none thru them of course...

Charged me even though I cancelled. Provided no guidance, fake companies for advisory services, advisor never showed up for calls.
Still fighting to get money back for unauthorized services after 90 days.

These folks are a total scam.
Bait and switch, get you to sign up, then offer zero services, and refuse to allow a cancellation and continuing to charge my credit card after multiple efforts to cancel, via phone and email.

BUYERS BEWARE! DO NOT GIVE THEM your credit card information.

AdvisoryCloud presents itself as a premium advisory platform, but my experience has been nothing short of disappointing. I canceled before the trial even began, clearly stated I did not want to move forward, and requested a refund. Despite acknowledging my communication, they still pushed the charge through and have refused to resolve the issue.

Customer service is unresponsive, slow, and evasive. You’ll get promises of “looking into it” with zero follow-through. The entire process feels intentionally confusing, and once they have your money, they disappear.

AdvisoryCloud markets itself as a professional service, but the way they handle billing disputes and customer concerns is anything but professional. I’ve since found multiple similar complaints from other customers who felt misled or charged without proper consent.

Save yourself the time, stress, and money — there are far better advisory networks out there that actually honor transparency and respect the customer.

I strongly advise reconsidering before giving them your credit card.

I don’t post things like this often, but every now and then a company earns it.

After my experience with AdvisoryCloud I can say confidently this is one of the most disingenuous and sleazy business operations I’ve dealt with in years.

They refused to refund a renewal I requested to cancel just three days after it processed—insisting I pay for an entire year of a service I have zero intention of using. No flexibility. No integrity. Just “policy.”

If you value transparency or ethics in who you do business with, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

A very expensive lesson learned.

Total scam. It says that the cost is $130 per month but it immediately charges the full year subscription of $1500 when you try it. I tried for 2 months to get them to reverse the charge and they refuse.

Scam!!! This company gave me a free 14-day trial. I went to cancel, and they offered me a free month because I hadn’t onboarded yet or spoke to anyone. They quickly charged me $195 and told me I never cancelled. They refuse to issue anyone refunds, which a legitimate company should be doing. I hope they go out of business and stop these predatory practices.

This is a SCAM. They hard sell you on a plan in an 'onboarding call' giving you the impression that you can earn money but joining boards. When I got into the system I saw one of my recommended boards had over 788 people on it. More like a Facebook group than a board and tried to contact for a refund, no answer to emails, no phone number available. BUYER BEWARE. Total scam.

AdvisoryCloud is a service I strongly recommend avoiding. They lure you in with a “trial period” but fail to be transparent about the fact that you will be billed unless you cancel well in advance—and they make cancellation unnecessarily difficult. In my case, they refused to issue a refund despite reaching out before the trial ended. What’s worse, the promise of exclusive board opportunities is misleading. Some boards have hundreds of members, making it clear there’s nothing exclusive or high-value about the connections you’re paying for. The platform feels built to extract fees rather than deliver meaningful advisory work. If you’re considering joining, think twice—there are far better ways to find real opportunities without falling into a pay-to-play trap.

She explained how the service work well. I am glad they have a VIP to help match with companies I fit into with my technology background.
