Good self storage place. Recommended!
I received a competitive quote when searching for storage space locally. The communication with the Access Self Storage staff was very positive, they explained all details and were happy to answered all questions, for peace of mind. When decided to book the storage the registration process was easy, and we were given a mini tour of the place when moved our stuff in. Again the staff were friendly and helpful. We received a generous space for the price paid, which was lower than other self storage spaces locally. We would recommend this business.

Excellent Customer Service mindset with a better deal.
The team called me straight after the initial online quote, and so did the nearest competitor. On the plus side, I was able to visit the room 15min after the competitor closed, so more flexible. On top of a better deal, the manager upgraded me to a bigger storage, so really impressed with that. When moving in, he also extended the hours so we could finish that evening, that is really nice service minded too. There has been a small admin error that ended to be corrected in an extra month discounted! Again nice touch! One tiny drawback is the hours of access, it is less extended than the competitor, but overall, Access is well head and shoulders above.

It is great to know the manager was able to offer a better deal and ensure everything worked smoothly for you.
We also appreciate your understanding regarding the small administrative error and are pleased it was resolved positively. Thank you for noting the access hours as well, feedback like this is always helpful.
We are thrilled that overall you feel we are head and shoulders above, that truly means a lot to us.
Beware of price increases.
I rented a unit in Apr25, with the first 3 months being at a discounted rate (despite the store manager telling me verbally that it would be for 6 months). After 3 months the rent increased to the full rate, and after a further 6 months they advised that they were going to automatically increase the rent by a further 10%. I emailed the manager but received no response. This gave me the kick up the proverbial to give notice and move out. The unit was fine, the facility good and the other staff really helpful, but I couldn't stomach the way they tried to prey on people's laziness to slip in an increase after just 9 months. Just beware what they do.

Competitive, friendly and professional …
Access gave me a competitive quote right away while competing operators continued to call, message and email offering improved terms when their initial price fell on deaf ears. Manager Ajay was communicative without being pushy and Tara and Thea helped smooth the reservation and moving in process.

Clean and a good selection of unit sizes
Very useful and handy. Clean and smell free spaces, the only thing I would change are the opening hours; if you work full time, your only option to access your unit would be on the weekend as they don't open either early doors or later evenings than general office hours.

Storage unit theft
My storage unit was broken into at the Twickenham site. Despite the alarm being triggered twice ( according to access ) in October and December 2021 Access failed to notice that the unit had been broken into. This has not only resulted in the loss of approximately £50k worth of irreplaceable property but because access failed to investigate the alarms the chances of recovering any of this are virtually zero.
To add insult to injury Access have then charged me for 19 months for an empty unit!.
I would be very wary of using this company - indeed anyone storing anything on the second floor where the units have a mesh roof I would ask to move to a unit with a metal roof as this is not only how the thieves were able to view the contents of the unit but also how they broke in.
After 3 months I have yet to receive any feedback from Access - which shows the contempt that Access has for their customers.
Naively I trusted this company and have been badly let down. Please don't get caught out like I have been.
@Access - please don't place a generic response to this review along the lines ' sorry we didn't meet your expectations this time'. It's just meaningless - the fact I've had zero communication since making you aware of the break in would suggest you are more interested in trying to cover your backs for the systemic mistakes that you have made.

We were promised a ground floor room 2…
We were promised a ground floor room 2 months in advance.
This was given to another customer and we were given a space on another floor for which we incurred extra charges. We were then charged £213 by mistake and this took us 7 days and hours of phone calls to retrieve.
£25 credit compensation in my opinion is insulting and I wouldn't recommend Access to anybody.

Excellent service!
Finally had our container delivered after relocation from Singapore. Tara has been very professional, patient and accommodating with our changing dates etc. Very helpful from initial enquiry to getting us into our unit.
