Here at Abakhan, we pride ourselves on offering value for money throughout the vast range of Fabrics, Yarns, Crafts, Sewing Accessories and Haberdashery we have on offer. We are committed to sourcing the best products at the best prices for our customers and frequently have stock lots, clearance parcels and special offers available. Started by the Abakhan family in the late forties as a rug weaving business, the first retail outlet opened in Mostyn, North Wales over thirty years ago. As well as a major retail outlet, this site also occupies the head office and distribution operations of Michael Abakhan Ltd and is also a site of considerable local historic interest. The company has taken great care to preserve the old works buildings resulting in the presentation of an award by the Prince of Wales for the sympathetic restoration of the buildings. Still headed by family members, Abakhan has now been trading for almost 60 years, with 9 stores across the North West (North Wales, Manchester, Liverpool, Birkenhead, Bolton, Chester, Hanley, Preston & Shrewsbury). Order not sent and no response or numbers to ring
I placed an order on 1st June with a 3-5 day delivery and have not received the goods, I emailed customer enquires 4 days ago and have had a receipt of email but nothing else. There aren't any numbers to ring to query this, I am very disappointed.
I also have another order placed 10th June and paid for a 2-3day delivery and again have heard nothing. I am commenting on here in response the email asking me to review my order!

I tried to give feedback via their customer service address: it was very quickly bounced because they didn't know who I was. This despite having set up an account for the purpose of making a very small order. I tried to tell them that over ten days to deliver was not impressive and I might not try them again. The goods were exactly what I was looking for.

Always leave happy with the experience and products
I buy a lot of craft fabric mainly in-store. But online to when what I need isn't in stock at the Bolton store. It's comes well packaged and delivery is prompt. The staff in-store are always happy to help and give advice too. My girls love to buy knitting and crocheting supplies there too. Always leave happy with the experience and products.

Abakan Mostyn
The Abakan store in Mostyn has moved all their wool and craft supplies onto the second floor.
As I disabled person I regularly visit the store for supplies but unfortunately the past 3 visits have seen me leave empty handed.
The lift has been out of order for some weeks now and myself and many others I know who are also disabled are no longer able to shop there.
I generally like to avoid buying on line to support businesses but I will now have no choice.
Petrol is too expensive to waste travelling 20 plus miles to find I am unable to access .

Attended the Copy your clothes pattern…
Attended the Copy your clothes pattern class yesterday at Abakan Mostyn with Corrie Robinson.
This class was sold out with 10 people of various skill levels attending.
I didn’t have any pre conceived ideas or expectations as I truly (as a total beginner ) had no idea what to expect. It was a very informative and enjoyable day and I learned so much from Corries superb instruction and direction.
It was more complicated than I expected but the support on a 1 to 1 basis made this a very enjoyable afternoon. I will definitely be booking more classes 👍 Thanks Corrie I hope to produce “the garment “ this week.

I'm trying a second order because I like the material but delivery wasn't quick but could of been royal mail an material was cut very wonky on 1 lot of material but I'm hoping it was just a one off so reordered to see. Just received my 2nd order and materials were all cut good

IMPROVE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FIX THE SLOW AUTOMATIC DOORS!
It's a good place for yarns and fabrics a d stuff but their customer service isn't that good. So the cashier was really rude and was on his phone the entire time and didn't even say anything to me which was quite unfair. And lastly, the automatic door entrance, its soooo slow and when I walked out I accidentally bumped into it and it hurt so they NEED to fix those doors.

Not Good customer service
I missed something off my order but as they could not amend they said I could cancel, get a refund and reorder. I advised cancel and refund. Reordered but I am now still having both orders because they cannot cancel original order. Why offer this as a solution if they cannot deliver.

I have been a customer at Mostyn for 30…
I have been a customer at Mostyn for 30 years, but I can honestly say today was the most disappointing ever.
Ordered food that came wrong & the waitress argued the toss.
All the doors where out of action so my elderly mother had to walk much further than was necessary & then to top it all, the lift was out of action.
The place looked like it was closing down & the staff acted as though they were indifferent whether we shopped or left.
So very sad, but I can't imagine returning to be treated with that attitude.
