Sketchy pricing, Class quality not great,
Classes are expensive than other platforms and the teachers are not as experience as others. We bought a package that was good for 6 months I believe.
When they were selling their classes, they mentioned we will progress through a certain level, HSK 1-2-3 etc.
At the same time, their pricing structure is sketchy. They mentioned needed to share on social media to get the bonus class, which I did, then they said need to use the poster, I did, then they said sorry, you need to add more captions before it is eligible. I got many likes and views for them, but decided to remove the post just because of this behavior.
When my son had the class, the teacher would keep on speaking English (even though we ask them not to); they kept on reviewing and not advancing (not because my son was not able to), and their app wasn't working on our ipad, and asked me to give my phone to my son for his homework. Hello? that is why we got him his ipad.
We changed platforms and now my son is already in HSK 3 level classes (and again, is completely able to).
So I ended up paying more money than other platforms for a session, getting less classes and a bad English class instead of Chinese class.
If you are looking to learn Chinese, this is not the place.
And Wukong team, please stop harassing me in recommending people to you across platforms, I will not.

Really good experience from the initial introduction to the trial lesson for my daughter, the report following the trial, and the final registeration for 25 classes plus promotions. The classes are delivered online with wrapped-around learning materials on the website. Pretty well-designed learning environment. Will see how it goes as we just commenced the journey with Wukong. At least based on the experience so far, we would highly recommend! :)

Terrible sales tactic using children.
At the Glen Shopping Centre in Melbourne, a staff member from Wukong Education approached my 4-year-old daughter and gave her a balloon, saying it was free. When I declined to sign up, they took the balloon back from her, leaving her visibly upset and in tears.
Using young children this way to pressure parents into signing up is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I would strongly discourage others from engaging with this company.

We've had an incredible experience with…
We've had an incredible experience with Wukong for our 8 year old daughter. The trial lesson was so inspiring and engaging. The class was fun, with different types of activities including conversation, gamification and acting out and even singing to learn the pinyin and tones. The ability to preview and then review a lesson really helps to cement knowledge and its clear that Wukong teachers are experts in the way they set up and present each lesson. I also got a parent/teacher chat immediately following the lesson and an in depth assessment of my daughters progress via email. Communication is brilliant, with a teachers assistant assigned to us and available via whatsapp. This is hands down the best educational decision we've made for our child.
