Good local company
We have used Woods in the past and always received good service. This time was no exception. Staff helpful and friendly. Delivery on time, furniture unpacked, and packing materials taken away, which is always helpful. A good local firm, and well worth supporting.

Super-slick service
Fantastic service from Eliza. Phoned about some bar stools on the Monday, pictures allowing me to colour-match sent right away. Paid same day and items delivered within 48 hours. Very efficient, courteous and items were perfect, all at a very fair price. Would use again.

Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service, kept informed of when delivery would take place even giving us a one hour notice of arrival, absolutely love our corner dining chair. Would use this company again. Even called a few days later to see if everything was to our satisfaction.

3 consecutive damaged orders
I ordered a bench. It arrived in damaged packaging, obvious knife cuts on the end. The bench was damaged but I agreed to pack it up and send back for a replacement. Replacement arrived, packaging was even more damaged, bench was damaged. I agreed to send back if a different courier was used. This was agreed. Third bench arrived, damaged packaging, the bench was damaged, but same courier was used much to my frustration. I needed the bench for an event at home. I contacted the company again and said that I would keep the bench if they could give me a significant discount for all my inconvenience. In truth I asked for them to give it to me, but of course this was rejected and they offered a 17% discount, just covering their postage. I said that as l needed a bench, that I would repair it, but advised that they give me a better discount given the poor experience and inconvenience. This was rejected. So…absolutely no interest in the customer’s journey, just covering themselves.

I had my eye on this chair for sometime, I bought it and it was delivered in a few days and it is everything I wanted it to be. It is beautifully made and the tan leather is gorgeous, cracking product from an excellent company, Woods even called a few days later to see if everything was ok with the chair and delivery. Excellent service from the ordering process right through to delivery. We were kept informed of progress and given a delivery time estimate which was accurate almost to the minute! Dylan and Mark, the delivery team couldn’t have been more polite and helpful.
Our garden furniture, although yet to be used, looks high quality and all we could have hoped for.

Horrendous treatment
I ordered and commenced payment of a hardy high and low bench with a marble table. It should have arrived in perfect condition however all the boxes were badly damaged. The delivery guys took photos upon collection of the items in the warehouse showing the damage had happened before they uplifted them to bring to mine. Items were delivered on the 9th of April. The company were notified at this point for what good it did. I was firmly told to not reject delivery! Who told me there was very little chance that the items were damaged just the boxes so just enjoy. The furniture was damaged and I was even told to try putting the damaged legs in a vice to straighten it out! At that point instead of making do with the ripped, bent, damaged items - just take them all back I want a full refund. It took them until 29th April to collect the items - Hugh boxes just left there for me to not be able to remove them. They were collected and went to Castleford, into another courier and then onto another courier. Before they arrived 13/14th May back to woods in Dorset! They were assessed and then my refund was returned to me on 19th May.
However, throughout the whole process female head of support, was inconsistent in her statements, changed the goal posts of processes and my consumer rights. She even told me I was wrong after quoting Citizens Advice information. The consumer rights states it’s 14 calendar days not 14 working days. The Trading standards and action fraud are involved. As the actions of female head of support is not correct nor is she compassionate or understanding.
Horrific experience of treatment my order was over a £1000+ and anyone with damaged items will have a fight on their hands as the policy on their website does not corroborate with the actions of Head of Support!

Having reviewed the records for this order, we can confirm that the delivery was completed on 15/04/2026. As such, we were unable to locate any contact from 09/04/2026 relating to this order, as referenced in your review.
You first contacted us on 15/04/2026 to advise that the outer packaging of your delivery had arrived damaged. At that stage, our customer support team provided a service request form so we could gather the necessary information and investigate the matter fully. Images and further details of the damage were supplied later that evening and on 16/04/2026, including concerns relating to multiple items and your preferred resolutions.
Between 15/04/2026 and 24/04/2026, our team remained in communication with you to fully investigate the reported issues and work towards a suitable resolution. During this period, we discussed several available options with you, including replacement parts for the table, goodwill gestures should you wish to retain any items, and the option of a full collection and refund for the order.
On 22/04/2026, within four working days of receiving the full details and imagery, we formally responded with the proposed resolutions available. Following further discussions, we increased the goodwill offer and, once you confirmed that your preferred resolution was a full refund, we immediately arranged collection with our logistics partner at the earliest available date.
Collection was confirmed on 24/04/2026 and completed on 29/04/2026. Once the items had been returned through the courier network and received back into our warehouse, your refund was processed on 13/05/2026.
While we appreciate that this experience did not meet your expectations, we would respectfully note that we worked throughout the process to investigate the concerns raised, provide multiple resolution options, arrange collection promptly once your preferred outcome was confirmed, and complete the refund following return of the goods.
Customer feedback is important to us, and we continue to review all areas to improve the experience we provide.

We had a very good experience buying a sofa at Woods recently. We found a sofa on a very generous offer that we liked very much. We were promptly given relevant information about the sofa by Eliza who then took our order. It was a speedy and smooth process. Delivery was on the day we identified and although Mark and Jake were a little late on delivery due to a rogue satnav they were helpful and courteous and put the furniture together quickly.
