A very good experience, and I’m glad I took the step to get started.
I was looking for an online business I could run from home after dealing with health issues that meant I couldn’t return to work. That’s when I came across the WOI Franchise — and I got started straight away.
From the very beginning, everything felt structured and straightforward to understand. The start-up cost is low, everything is clearly laid out, and there’s no pressure on when you work or how much time you commit, which suited my situation perfectly.
The support has been excellent. I receive regular training emails, have access to clear online training modules, and have had Zoom sessions with a lovely trainer who is always there if I need help. This review is based entirely on my personal experience as a franchisee, and I am posting it publicly because I believe potential investors deserve full transparency.
Serious Concerns From Day One
I joined this franchise expecting genuine training, support and a workable business system. What I actually received was extremely concerning.
Training That Barely Exists
Training consists of one short weekly email with very basic advice like "post in Facebook groups". That is genuinely the extent of the training you get.
There are no webinars, no workshops, no business resources, no strategic guidance and no community support of any kind.
There is absolutely nothing that resembles a proper franchise training program.
Support Is Only Technical - And Nothing More
Support only deals with technical errors. For example, if they upload a photo that is supposedly from your territory but it turns out to be from another country, you have to email them to remove it. That is the only type of support that exists.
There is no mentoring, no planning, no brainstorming and no actual business support. The support email is faceless, nameless and gives no proactive help at all.
You Are Blocked From Contacting Other Franchisees
This was one of the biggest red flags in my experience.
You are not allowed to know who the other franchisees are.
You are not allowed to know which territories are active.
You are told this is to prevent franchisees from finding each other.
I was informed that I could only contact one person, who also happens to be one of their trainers.
In any credible franchise, collaboration is encouraged. Here, it is completely shut down. This isolation felt extremely suspicious.
Paid Advertising Service That Promised Results But Delivered Nothing
They sell an additional service costing hundreds of pounds and claim their sales team will secure advertisers for your area and that you will make your money back. In my experience, this did not happen.
Months and months later, not a single advertiser was delivered, not even at the lowest price point.
I repeatedly requested updates and heard nothing back.
Despite the complete lack of results, they continued taking the monthly franchise fee and the extra money for the sales service.
Even Independent Salespeople Say There Is Nothing To Sell
When I attempted to hire my own salesperson, they declined because the platform has no story, no statistics, nothing measurable and nothing compelling for advertisers.
If professional salespeople cannot sell space on the site, how are franchisees expected to?
The Website Is Outdated And Unattractive
The website is slow, outdated and looks unprofessional. Businesses showed no interest because there is nothing unique or useful being offered. There is no value proposition that would justify advertising with the platform.
Legal And Financial Concerns
Based on my experience, the following issues raise serious questions:
Services sold as part of the franchise package are not delivered
The additional paid sales service does not produce the results that are promised
Franchisees are deliberately prevented from contacting each other
No training, mentoring or meaningful support is provided
Support exists only for small technical errors
Extra fees are collected without any visible return
These patterns could indicate misrepresentation or failure to deliver contracted services. Potential franchisees should seek independent legal advice before investing any money.
Conclusion
In my experience, this franchise does not deliver value and presents multiple red flags that cannot be ignored. I have written this review because I want a response, and I believe prospective franchisees deserve to hear experiences like mine before making a financial commitment. And if you have already parted with money for this franchise, good luck getting your money back. They will literally go dark.

I’ve been making steady progress over the last three months and now fully grasp the proven system they’ve created. This is the second franchise I’ve joined, and I have to compliment the WOI team on their backend training and support — everything is clear, concise, and easy to follow.
The support team are, without doubt, at the top of their game 24/7. I’ve seen some of the bad reviews and honestly ask myself — how can a global franchise that’s been operating for seven years, while keeping such a low-cost start for a franchise at this scale, be a SCAM? I really can’t imagine what kind of scam this could be when you pay a fixed, low entry fee that’s affordable for anyone (they even offer discounts!), plus a fixed monthly fee. You get online support, training modules, regular training emails, and live Zoom sessions — everything you need to succeed.
This franchise ticks all the right boxes: home-based, growing market, online, excellent ROI, and a true turnkey system. I’ve taken on two areas and will be stepping up to a third soon.
I have no complaints — if you’re seriously looking for an additional income, you’ll find this very rewarding.

I took on the franchise with help from my sister to help cover household bills. What began as a part-time venture quickly grew into a full-time opportunity, and I’ve genuinely enjoyed both the work-from-home lifestyle and the income potential.
I chose the Fast Track package, which saved me money and helped me get started quickly. The return on investment is clear and achievable- you just need to put in the effort. I focused on telesales, email marketing, and offered discounts to local businesses, along with free event listings and free spots for charities. These approaches were very well received and helped me build strong local connections.
The support team and detailed training emails are excellent and kept me on track throughout. Even if you think you already know what to do, there’s a lot to learn from the training materials provided. I have opted also for zoom training, which is very helpful and full with these a-ha moments.
The company has been franchising for over seven years and clearly knows what it’s doing. There are plenty of satisfied franchisees (and of course, as with anything, a few who like to complain). Overall, it’s a solid and rewarding business model for anyone looking to be part of the growing online advertising market.

I unfortunately fell for this so called Franchise. After months of no income from this, I started to ask questions! Show me one of your other franchises websites that are doing well? No reply.
Please check for yourself guys, search for ANY WHATS ON IN website, you will see the few tradesman entries, a few random businesses, which are put on by these scammers.
Do you notice all the 5 star reviews, never mention their WOI website? Show us how well it is performing! No, because it isn't.
They have no business model, no proof to show that anyone has made money from it.
All there advice is, make plenty calls. Keep phoning businesses!! (Cold calling) and send emails. That is it. That is their businesses model, and still no proof of anyone making a success of it.
Fortunately I reported these scammers and managed to get all my money back. I bet Steve had to cut back on a few of his holidays, and Sue in collections cried a little.

A Great Opportunity with Ongoing Support
I was made redundant 7 months ago and came across this franchise through an online platform. At 58, I'm not particularly tech-savvy and was initially concerned, but I was reassured that this wouldn’t be an issue — and it truly hasn’t been. The onboarding and training process was straightforward, clear, and easy to follow, which made getting started stress-free. My daughter is now helping with some email marketing to boost sales, which has been a great addition. The support and advice I’ve received and continue to receive has been excellent. I really have no complaints and would happily recommend this franchise to anyone looking for a home-based business opportunity.

A Farcical Wizard of Oz Experience – Avoid!!!

In my experience, it was nothing like the “dream business opportunity” they sell you. I lost money, time, and energy, and was left feeling completely misled.
What you actually get is an outdated website, worthless training modules, and “support” that vanishes once they have your money. My site had almost zero engagement, an extremely high bounce rate and potential clients didn’t trust it. Every attempt I made to get help with technical issues was ignored or brushed off.
The so-called training was a joke – excuses after the first session (“no wifi,” “illness,” etc.) and nothing useful delivered. The sales manager’s replies were curt and dismissive, while the compliance woman sent aggressive messages about payments being “late,” even when they were due that very day. She never supplied the receipts I asked for and ignored any questions “I” asked. She shared the same phone number as the useless sales manager, red flag! At times, I felt like I was dealing with a one-person show wearing many masks – a farcical Wizard of Oz performance – rather than a legitimate franchise team. It was unprofessional and downright unpleasant to deal with.
The much-touted “Global Franchise Award” is irrelevant to their business as it falls under a children's category, not appropriate at all ** Update** - they have removed the award since my review but I have proof. The positive reviews online raised serious red flags – many come from accounts with only one review, and the language looks suspiciously similar. For every bad review, five glowing ones suddenly appear. Readers should look closely and draw their own conclusions.
The reality is a lonely, demoralising experience where most people, I suspect, simply give up - £1000's lighter. In my opinion, this franchise isn’t designed to help people succeed – it thrives on upselling pointless ideas and recycling the same underperforming websites to unsuspecting newcomers, all while extracting more money from existing franchisees and keeping them trapped in a drawn-out sales process. Based on my experience, I strongly advise you to stay well clear.

Scammers and witches
Trust me, it's a scam. You pay for the franchise, and the monthly management fees only to receive emails and emails of sales information. No one talks to you or guides you through the process of set up, no one follows up to check how the business is going but you have to ensure you have enough in the account to pay for your next month of management fees. If you are reading this latest review please save your pennies for something else. I have been with them for almost a year, I first took on a master franchise employed sales staff until I got to a point where I exhausted with making calls and not getting any business from the tradesmen as they make it sound. I was given an option to take on one website, so I thought I could manage that one better, only to realise I was in the same cycle of making calls, no business, recieving more sales emails asking me to do this that and the other, who ever is behind this is a witch, they know it doesn't work but they keep hammering you with more information to make it look professional and keep you trapped into thinking and believing that you are not doing enough. Until you come to a point where you are ready to give up, then they corn you to sell/rent it out, they get you someone ( who I believe is one of them scammers) he plays you around while they take your money, they make you believe they are going to buy or rent from you, and as you start to closethe deal, they dissappear or give a far fetched reason and never to be traced again, bearing in mind you have already paid the agreement fees, the management fees and all that. And that woman Sue from compliance who is always begging for payments but never wants to respond to any questions, (she answers a question by asking you a question so she doesn't get committed to anything). This time I caught them red handed, because they have lied to me twice, I have confronted Steve who is always away somewhere abroad, and all he is are now promising is new a sales team again to trap me in to paying more fees and not having the business, I am not falling for it, hence this honest review, I have had enough, I want to save someone else from falling in the trap, Everything happens for a reason, I can't just waste time to write such a long review for nothing. They have played their game well and they know what they are doing. Please don't play along. SAVE YOURSELF THE DRAMA. It's a cycle of creative scammers, witches and wicked people. Research and read reviews before committing to them.
