Excellent customer service, trustworthy and understanding of the hazards of living with small people! Cannot recommend enough.

After a lot of thought I am so pleased I joined Whirli. Being able to experience a wide variety of toys without having to buy them all for them to fill limited space. Sometimes I have swapped everything, sometimes just some if we have wanted to enjoy things a bit longer. I have also purchased a couple of items that we couldn’t part with. Toys we would not have ever considered would be firm favourites so a really useful try before you buy in our case.
The whole process is simple and straightforward. The staff are amazing with quick friendly and helpful service whenever I have contacted them.
Would highly recommend.

Poor operations. Good idea but can easily fail.

I signed up to Whirli because a friend and I were speaking of sustainable toy swapping - and fell in love with the idea and also UX. Its quite easy to order, and despite being initially disappointed with the limited selection of toys - i have thrilled to see that the selection multiplied after the funding round in Dec 2020.

However, I found the return process painful. In amazon when I return - there are options popping up to ask for a collection/ delivery close by. There are always customer service agents who help you understand more. But with Whirli the return label was shipped along with my toys - now why would I keep it safe with me when I h ave multiple return labels? Why would I have to go into the chat box just to ask for a return label? Why should i go deeper into the FAQs when i have a busy life esp with young kids just to ask for another return label. Nevertheless , I returned the items and then I forgot about it. I never saved receipts (who does it these days!) as proof to show i returned the product and forgot about the return process - like I would have with any retailer. Just to find out 3 months later that my items apparently were lost and I never got to know. Reverse supply chain is critical for any company - you want to run a swapping service get your return process fixed. Get your UX fixed / get your stock checks fixed / get your processes fixed! Surely you have the funding?

More importantly I found the company to have zero customer obsession. My message on returning further toys was ignored two months ago and recently when I asked to pay 40£ as someone else lost or not lost the toys. And it took me several emails of back-forth to explain that sometimes its OK to let go of that £40 to keep a customer and thereby a happy business. Customer obsession from Day1 is what keeps a company going. I have cancelled my subscription as it was a money drain and even time/emotional drain for me. I will watch the company from afar - to see how long they can sustain without fixing basic issues.

A great way to offer my child choice without cluttering our home with vast amounts of toys and plastic

Basicly you can hire the things your baby grows out of in a few months for far less money, you don’t have clutter of having old toys/bouncers in the house nor do you have any guilt of not taking them to the charity shop. You just send them back. You can also try things that you wouldn’t necessarily have bought, or if you’d have bought it might have been a waste of money. Also their customer service people are lovey! And they do lots of board games for my older kids 8/10 which you then don’t have to keep!

Absolutely brilliant idea. I love it when the Whirli box arrives! My one year old is moving through toys quickly and gets bored with them easily. Whirli is a great way to try lots of new toys. And if my little one likes them for a while I can buy them at the (reducing the longer we have them) prices. Thoroughly recommend!

So happy with Whirli!! We are on our third swap and it’s been brilliant from the word go!
I’ve got a five year old and a nearly two year old and the choice for toys is amazing, things you would not have considered and never bought because of the cost vs use of it. With whirli there is no waste of money and regrets of neglected toys piling up. If it’s no longer being enjoyed, it goes back and we get something else. It aligns with us trying to be more mindful about plastic use and being a bit more eco friendly. I did get quite a few things second hands for my kids but I wish I knew about them for my first. Kids genuinely don’t care that much about their toys/games some things will be played with a fair amount others hardly even if you rotate so whirli is perfect, lots of fun and new things try with no guilt.

I can recommend this highly enough. Keeps the level of toys to a sensible level in the house and when my boys stop playing with them off they go and new ones arrive! It's really fantastic. The excitement when the new box arrives is off the chart! If your thinking about signing up, just do it!

Would recommend. It's saved us having bought toys never to be played with. We've have a subscription from them for about 5 months now, following a recommendation from a friend. There is a good range of toys, and they are always adding to the range. The postage is quick. The toys are in excellent condition and the one time I did open the box to find something had broken in transit, their customer service was great and quick. We've had a good turn over of toys and definitely saved ourselves money in the long run. If you want a referral code to save some money when joining ask a friend who is already a member!

Delivery fees are too high, even though I have monthly delivery subscription which was not used at all for more than a month, meaning pure profit for the company, I was asked to pay extra for oversized package. Don't find that customer friendly

This company has amazing customer service - out of all the baby / toddler I have used for goods or service, this is definitely one of the best. I was sceptical at the start, but so glad I subscribed for a year and I will certainly be doing it again. The toys are amazing, excellent quality and always look very new. It really is effortless! Highly recommend.

Great business idea. Swap every 1-2 months and it keeps the house less cluttered. It's more eco-friendly as well - big fan.

A seamless swap, everything arrived in pristine condition and my returns all fit into the same box the new replacement toys arrived in. Can’t fault, highly recommend.
