Wax Jackets Cleaned is a specialist UK service dedicated to cleaning, re-waxing, repairing and restoring modern and vintage waxed-cotton garments. Unlike services that simply apply another layer of wax, we clean the complete garment inside and outside before professionally re-waxing it by hand. Our specialist process helps remove ingrained dirt, body odours, mould, mildew and unpleasant smells caused by damp or long-term storage. We work with Barbour, Belstaff, Filson, Driza-Bone, Musto, John Partridge and many other makes. Repairs and alterations can include worn cuffs, damaged linings, tears, hems, pockets, collars and zips. Based at Goyt Mill in Marple, Greater Manchester, we welcome customers at our workshop and provide a postal service throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide. Our purpose is to return dirty, smelly, damaged and previously unwearable wax jackets to a clean, properly reproofed and fully wearable condition—extending their useful life and preventing quality garments from being unnecessarily thrown away.

We had our wax jacket and trousers cleaned and re-waxed to a an excellent standard great service and cost, highly recommended by ourselves and would recommend wax jackets cleaned to anyone who may need this service

The Best

World class service! It’s incredible what the team can do with a wax jacket: like new but still have the patina. Clear communication and efficient. Can’t recommend high enough!

Patina intact

My old Barbour jacket had best part of 40 years of use in off-road motorcycling and had the patina of age...or well used. Wax Jackets Cleaned did a great job of servicing it without destroying the patina...Just as I wanted.

Nigel and his team are fist class curators of all things waxed. Belstaff and Barbour cleaning, repairs, re-waxing, sales for historic and rare jackets, they can do it all. Very happy to recommend

Great service from this company.
Repair was needed to the jacket and then a GOOD clean, which they did.
Wax finish to it is first class

I’ve used this company on a number of occasions and the quality of service associated with the repairs and re-waxing is just incredible.
