I have received my order, and I must express my dissatisfaction.
The website strongly implies that customers have a realistic opportunity to receive a luxury timepiece, using wording such as “your chance to own a luxury timepiece for a fraction of the price” and showcasing brands like Rolex, Cartier, and Seiko and more. However, the item I received (a Timex Indiglo) is clearly not comparable in value and does not align with the expectations your marketing creates.
I paid €177 in total, and the product received is worth significantly less. This constitutes misleading and deceptive advertising, as the presentation of your offer creates a false impression of the likely outcome......
And sure i would love a rolex but didnt expect it but a timex that is not even 1/5 off the price i paid is grazy......

I do understand the fact it’s a mystery watch. But I expected a not so damaged watch. It’s really damaged.. I don’t understand why we get like 6nd hand watches in the drop. Only the not so damaged one are shown and it’s really a marketing trick. Pls be aware.. your watch can be damaged a lot. The whole color is fading away from the watch haha.. not okay. OH! And the fact you need to pay a LOT of import costs. Just don’t do it. It’s not worth it. And yes I know it’s a mystery but the watches are too damaged in my opinion.
I forget to say the watch is NOT working. I already send a video on WhatsApp but no reply.

I understand the concept of this process but sending someone a woman’s watch that is in this rough a shape for almost $200 bucks is just not acceptable. This is literally a watch someone could have purchased on whatnot for 5 bucks.

When the Mystery Box Stops Feeling Fair
I understand the concept behind Watch Harbor. It’s a business, and I get that for a few people to hit big with high-value watches, most boxes will naturally sit at a lower value. That’s how the model works.
I’m also not a brand snob. I’ve seen people complain about getting brands like Timex purely because they’re “cheap”, and that’s not where I’m coming from. A watch doesn’t need to be luxury to be good.
My issue is value. Simple as that.
If I receive a watch worth £70–£80 in a Tier 2 box, fair enough. That feels in line with what I’ve paid.
If I receive a watch I can find online for £20 after paying £119, that’s where the problem is.
I’ve been part of the community since late last year, so I’ve seen how these drops land. The February drop especially missed for a lot of people, myself included.
I’ve consistently paid into these boxes, and I’ve yet to feel like the value has properly landed. Across what used to be Tier 1 (Premium) and Tier 2 (Special Edition), I’ve had:
1 × Tier 1 watch – acceptable, roughly what I’d expect
3 × Tier 2 watches – only 1 felt like fair value
The other 2 – genuinely poor value for the price paid
And that’s the pattern that’s hard to ignore.
From what I can find, every watch I’ve received could be bought individually for less than the price of the box it came in. That doesn’t feel right. The whole point of a mystery box is that you’re taking a gamble, but the baseline should still feel fair.
I use Watch Harbor for the experience of getting something unexpected at a value that makes sense. I’m not expecting a £3,500 watch every time. But I also don’t expect to pay £119 and receive something worth £19.99 - £30.00
That gap between expectation and reality is where the frustration sits.
There’s also a practical issue that hasn’t been addressed. Every watch I’ve received has come with a strap that either feels very cheap or simply doesn’t fit. The punch holes are too large for my wrist, meaning I physically can’t wear any of them properly.
So I’m now sat with four watches, and I haven’t been able to wear a single one of them. Even the one I consider “fair value” is unusable because of the strap.
At that point, it’s not just about value anymore, it’s about usability.
The concept works. But right now, it feels like the value isn’t there, and the basics like wearability are being overlooked. If that doesn’t improve, people won’t stick around.
The idea works. But the value needs to feel real, otherwise people won’t stick around.

You’re completely right in how you describe the model. For some people to land higher-value watches, there has to be a spread across the drop, and not every box will come out on top. That’s the reality of how it works. But where I do understand your frustration is in how that feels over time, especially if you’ve had a few in a row that haven’t landed where you expected.
We do try to be as open as possible before anyone buys. Every drop has all the brands listed on the website, and we post full breakdown videos and content across our socials showing exactly what’s in the mix, including the more affordable watches as well as the higher-end pieces.
Here’s one of the breakdown videos we shared before the drop:
Nothing in the drop is hidden, and we never try to present it as everyone receiving a luxury watch. It’s always been about the chance of landing one within a mixed drop. That said, I do hear what you’re saying about the gap between what you paid and what you received feeling too wide. Even within this model, it still has to feel fair, and if it doesn’t, that’s something we need to take seriously.
The strap point is also completely fair.
Regardless of value, you should at least be able to wear what you receive. If you’ve ended up with multiple watches that don’t even fit properly, that’s not a good experience and not something we want for anyone.
At the end of the day, we want people to enjoy this, not feel like they’ve been caught out by it. We’re always reviewing how we build these drops and feedback like this plays a big part in that.
I appreciate you sticking with us as long as you have, and also being honest about it. If you’re open to it, I’d be happy to speak with you directly and see if there’s a way we can improve this situation for you.

When we got it, we both got the exact same watch. Silver Casio (it’s quite funny because my partner has a Casio and it’s the only one he didn’t want 😅 ) . So by increasing our chances of hopefully getting a nice watch we both ended up with the same. I guess that’s the luck of the draw but I would prefer a refund for one of them or at least a free entry into the next draw - order #6356

Getting the exact same watch between you both is extremely unlucky. To give you some context, there were around 200 watches in that drop and only 10 were Casios, so the chances of you both receiving one and the same one are genuinely very low.

We are very clear across multiple areas, including the website, “How It Works” page, FAQ section, and product description, that more affordable brands such as Avia are part of the mix. In addition, we regularly share videos showcasing these exact watches so customers can see real examples before purchasing. Its almost impossible to miss this information thats all over our website during drop days and all over our social media platforms. And we are very clear there are watches like Avia's in the mix in our community groups with 1000s of people inside of them, which are free to join aswell.
At no point have we claimed that every watch included in a Mystery Drop will match or exceed the purchase price. The entire concept is based on a range of outcome, from entry-level pieces to significantly higher-value watches. Including higher-end or luxury items would simply not be possible if every box guaranteed equal value.
It’s also important to understand that a Mystery Drop is built around varied outcomes. If every watch matched the £119.99 purchase price, it simply wouldn’t be possible to include higher-value pieces, such as luxury watches worth up to £3,000. The model only works because it offers a range, from entry-level to premium.
We always aim to be upfront about this so customers can make an informed decision before purchasing.

Also just to clarify, we don’t have a “limited” category, our tiers are Tier 1 (£69) and Tier 2 (£119) and Vintage Only (£149).

I had a terrible experience with Watch Harbor. I participated in their blind drawing, paying over $170 with the perception of receiving a very nice vintage watch Instead, I ended up with a watch valued at only $40. That is a profit margin of around 70%. This feels like an absolute scam, as they clearly misled me about the value of what I would receive. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone looking to invest in a quality timepiece. Save your money and look elsewhere! I absolutely understand that there was no promise of a watch the same value of what I spent. This sight is very misleading. Well done.

I’ve jumped into a few of the monthly mystery drops across both Tier 1 and Tier 2 and honestly, that’s where the fun is. You’ve got no idea what you’re going to get, and that’s the whole thrill. It’s a gamble, plain and simple.
But it’s not a blind one. Cameron lays it all out in his Instagram and YouTube videos…. What kind of watches sit in each tier, what’s possible, and what’s not. You might strike gold, you might not… and that’s exactly what makes it exciting and why I’ll continue purchasing.

Came across Watch Harbour on Instagram…
Came across Watch Harbour on Instagram and thought I’d take a punt and see what it was all about. Went in on a 3-month deal and now into month two — both watches so far have been solid, really happy with them.
Let’s be honest, we’d all love to be dropping £5k–£10k on a watch whenever we fancy it, but that’s not reality for most of us. This is a great way to enjoy different pieces you probably wouldn’t normally go for, without the big commitment.
You’ve got to go into it with the right mindset — same as sticking a few quid on the EuroMillions. You’re doing it for the experience, not expecting to make money. If anything, it’s just a bit of fun and a chance to wear something different each month.
Fair play to the guys, it’s a great concept and it’s been a really good experience so far. Keep it up.

I had such a great experience with Watch Harbor’s mystery drop. The whole process is genuinely exciting from placing the order to the anticipation while waiting, and finally opening the box to see what you’ve received.
What makes it so special is the randomness, it could be anything from a Rolex to a simple Casio or even a unique vintage piece, all for just £70. That element of surprise makes it incredibly fun, especially for watch collectors like me. Even though I didn’t get a Rolex this time, I received an Ingersoll automatic, which I really appreciate and enjoy.

What a great company, my first couples of purchase’s have been easy and great value for money. I would highly recommend to any watch collector or any one wanting to have a nice and varied watch collection. That balance between variety and accessibility is exactly what we aim to offer, especially for collectors who enjoy trying different styles without committing to just one direction.
I’m also really glad you mentioned the customer service side of things. We put a lot of emphasis on being responsive and easy to deal with, so it’s good to know that’s coming across in your experience.
You’re absolutely right about the drops selling out quickly as well. The demand can be high, so the pre-order option is something we’ve tried to keep in place to give people a fair chance to get involved.

Disappointed
Although I know it’s completely random which watch I receive, I’m quite disappointed with the watch I received. I expected a more vintage watch especially for a Tear 2 watch I paid €139 for (and also €24 import taxes).
I received a quartz Timex indiglo which I can buy new (the same watch) on amazon for €40
So quite disappointed I must say.

Hey, I really appreciate you sharing this.
Just to give a bit of context, we are always very transparent about what can come up in the drops. We show all the brands (including pieces like Timex, Seiko, OMAX, Accurist etc.) across our YouTube and content, and we’ve made quite a few videos explaining how the more affordable watches have to be part of the mix to make the drops viable overall. It would be impossible to offer Omega Speedmasters and many other luxury watches for £119 without including these affordable options, and I do feel like we explain this very clearly on the website, in videos, FAQ pages, our communities etc.
That said, I completely get that you were hoping for something more vintage in Tier 2 but we do show that not all watches in these drops are vintage, hence why we introduced a vintage only category, and I’m sorry it didn’t hit the mark for you this time, especially with the added import costs on your side.

you’ll get a watch but pay way more then it’s worth!
Package was well packed and delivered on time. My first time using watch harbour mystery drop and the concept is great, perhaps I was expecting too much however for 109 quid I was not expecting the poor watch I was sent, an OMAX which I could buy on eBay for 26 quid max, perhaps if I bought the lower grade then fair enough but not when spending triple figures it’s not on. Will be chasing up……
UPDATE,
Although not quite agreeing with Cameron he was very helpful and issued a full refund so 10/10 for customer service on that front

Hey Rob, we’ve already spoken privately about this, but I wanted to respond here as well.
We’re definitely not a scam in any way. Every order is fulfilled, and we put a lot of effort into being as transparent as possible about what can be included in each tier. The brands you can receive, including the fact that more affordable options are part of the mix are clearly mentioned across our FAQs, the “How It Works” page, Instagram, YouTube videos, and within our community.
The mystery format does mean there’s a range of watches in each category, which is how the drops are structured and made possible. I do understand it can be frustrating if it’s not what you were personally hoping for.
As mentioned in our messages, I appreciate you raising it and taking the time to share your experience.

What a joke, £109 for a tier 2 "non luxury" watch thats just a £20 amazon watch, just a joke and a sham.

We don’t buy or source watches from Amazon, ever. All of our watches are professionally sourced and hand picked for the drops, and we’re very transparent about the types of brands and range of pieces that can appear in each tier. That includes more affordable watches, which is something we clearly outline across our FAQs, “How It Works” page, Instagram, YouTube, and within our community.
The mystery format means there’s always going to be a mix within each category, that’s how the drops are structured, but I do understand it can be frustrating if it’s not what you were hoping for.
We’ve fulfilled every order and always aim to be upfront about how it works, so I do appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
