Charged even with no data and no buckets — never disclosed
The 90-day minimum lifecycle policy is annoying if you replace files often, but at least it's documented. What's not disclosed anywhere is that Wasabi keeps charging you a minimum fee even when you have zero data and zero buckets. The only way to stop the charges is to delete your account entirely. A nasty surprise.
I think its respectless to charge users…
I think its respectless to charge users for that ui experience its horrible and an absolut mess specially in 2026!!! im happy to pay more somewhere else
I was once a happy customer but....
I was once a happy customer but....
But then I got rolled over by there 90 day deleting rule... I completely revised our backup strategy.
Now when I don't use there server at all not even a single bit. I am continually charged.
The day I delete my account, I am STILL sent emails for invoices!
I wrote to their support department and there words "got billed once deleted the account, which is expected. You will not get charged after your account deletion." - not a refund not we understand, simply ignoring the issue again.
Well the reviews for this company speak for themselves, DON'T USE WASABI!

I used to be happy with Wasabi
I used to be happy with Wasabi, but this 3-month lock period — where you still have to pay for deleted objects — is making my bill skyrocket. I contacted support, but they said that’s just how it works. So now I need to migrate all my buckets to another provider. I’d really like to have the option to disable this lock. Until then, Wasabi is simply too expensive and no longer a good fit for me.
Billing System and their billing department is totally scam
Their billing department is totally scam. I have totally deleted my all bucket and all data from my account but this company is still charging every month without no service. This is always trying to deduct money from my provided credit card but once day I am very surprised I have blocked my credit card and apply for new card and how this company is also deducted money from my new credit card which I have not provided my new card details to this company I am totally surprise continuous 3 transaction done in one day from Wasabi Technologies.
In my credit card statement showing payment goes to Wasabi Technologies I am totally surprised and create this transaction as dispute transaction and my State Bank of India credit card blocked immediate and replace new card. I have request to replace my card and same day I have go and login wasabi cloud portal and entirely totally deleted my account.
Be careful if you have registered on this website and you have provided your credit card information or debit card information then please don't leave it as otherwise you will be charged automatically without any services. If you want to don't deduct money from your credit card then please delete your entire account and block your existing credit card and create card replacement ticket to your bank. This is only and only safe method for you that you will be not charged from this company in future.

This was by far the worst interview experience of my life
This was by far the worst interview experience of my career. I was contacted by the company via LinkedIn, asking if I’d be interested in discussing a job opportunity. After reviewing their website, I was initially impressed—I especially liked their stated values. But I quickly realized how wrong I was.
One of their three core values is “Humility,” yet the second question I was asked was: “Do you know why we’re better than AWS?” I immediately thought, That’s a bold statement—whatever happened to humility?
The overall tone of the interview was extremely arrogant, leaving me uncomfortable and with the clear impression that I was wasting the recruiter’s time. The recruiter’s attitude came across as passive-aggressive, almost as if they were saying: “Do you know who we are? You’re lucky just to be speaking with me.”
The most absurd part was when I had the chance to ask questions. I asked the simplest one imaginable, something any recruiter should be able to answer: “Could you describe the company culture?” The response? “It’s hard to describe if you’re not part of the company.”
In over 15 years of professional experience, this was the first time I immediately followed up after an interview to withdraw my interest. It was crystal clear that the role—and the company’s values—were not aligned with my own.

Website needs substantial improvements - buyer beware!
As an object storage company - they're great! But I took one look at their NAS Cloud Storage product which advertised $8.99 per terabyte and signed up for a free trial to discover it requires Windows Server (details in a data sheet PDF - just stick the details on the web page, please)!
Not a problem - I still had access to object storage and used that. Until I also discovered that there is a minimum of 10Tb per billing cycle - so up to $89 per month.
There was little I could do - Wasabi told me they couldn't change the account type - I had to create a new account to transfer my data to it. Meanwhile, I had racked up $33 instead of $6.99 I'd be expecting to pay. The only thing Wasabi has offered is credit on the new account, and even then it's limited. So I shifted everything to another object storage provider.
Wasabi by name AND nature, perhaps?

Tried to cancel my account and they…
Tried to cancel my account and they wouldn't let me. Kept charging me, so I asked them to cancel and send a refund for month I wasn't using. Again, they refused and said I had to delete my account to cancel - wtf?

Genius tech meets genius business model
If a company can convert me, they must be good. My use case was atypical and at first I think I hit their support system at the wrong angle, but Wasabi quickly adapted and got me in touch with the right people. I got fantastic answers to my questions, and I am looking forward to next steps via their product line.
Other folks here are complaining about additional fees. I am not seeing that in their model, so I think if folks are that concerned with cloud pricing (it is good to tread lightly) then they should take a couple TB for a spin, then step things up a notch over time until comfy coverting their whole workload.

Wasabi billing system is scam it will steal your money
Wasabi claim to be better than S3 pricing but they are same.
The worst part is even when you cancel their service, remove all buckets they continue to charge you the money and don't let you delete credit card from the account. Their billing system is scam watch out don't leave you card hanging and think you won't be charge because you cancel the service.
Use wasabi if you want to lose your data
After trusting wasabi with backups data, over 55TB of data,a they have corrupted entire data on their TX Location.
They hide the information, no announcement, their status page says no problems, nothing. but if you complaint about the corruption, then finally, they let you know they have the entire TX location corrupted, and trying to fix for over a month, without success.
Use wasabi if you want to lose your data.
They charge you for deleted storage
They charge you for deleted storage. So if you have a backup retention system that deletes backups after X amount of days, you pay for them to be deleted.
Who, in there right mind, would pay for a company to delete cloud storage..
Oh you want to delete some storage, sure that will be $27usd a month(even though they quote $6 per 1tb). Unreal.
UPDATE - I have just seen a news article that people are moving to other providers because of surprise costs from Wasabi. Might wanna change your business model if you want to stay in.
The service is good and fast
Hidden fees
Hidden fees! They don't inform you beforehand that you will be charged that much. And they charge a lot.
I deleted all my buckets. They still charged me because I had an account with them, so I had to pay a minimum. So not using any of their services, but still charged. How is that for fraud?
Disgraceful shower of charlatans
Disgraceful shower of charlatans - will delete your data at the drop of a hat and deny responsibility. Don't touch Wasabi with a bargepole if you value your content.
Price is gone up but the portion…
Price is gone up but also the portion quantity has been reduced. I love your food specially the pumpkin katsu curry. However, lately it seems I have to buy lunch twice if I opt for a pumpkin katsu curry as the food served in the box is equivalent to baby portion. Not worth the price anymore.
Shady advertising and pricing
Promotes themselves as no hidden fees but there are hidden costs not specified on the front page in pricing table or on pricing page. They offer 6.99$ per TB and NAS for 7.99$ per TB. My bill 89$ for one month for NAS. I asked why and they send me a page on their website that states that you will be charge for a 10TB minimum when using NAS. Why is this on another page and not on the page where pricing is?
Fraud company
Fraud company. They charge a ton of hidden fee in the name of time deleted storage. Means you pay for the file storage for 1 month, even if you delete the file same day. Stay away from these kind of scam companies.
Glorified Backup Service - Skip the Low Cost Hype
Glorified Backup Service.
I signed up. Started the free trial; I even put in my credit card, getting all hyped up to start uploading my files for super cheap - they were like "We're the cheapest CDN!". Got 500 GB up on their server, asked why my files weren't accessible publicly, they said "As of March 21st we are no longer making files publicly available." Reach out to support if you need to make the files public and provide a proper reason.
So my reason was, I need a CDN to serve some files on my site that I don't want to bog down my server from hosting (images, CSS, JS, etc). That apparently wasn't good enough.
So a proclaimed CONTENT DELIVERY NETWORK that is only available as a backend server to server bucket is not a CDN, it's a glorified backup service that costs money. I can go out and buy a few NVMEs for cheaper to backup my files, thanks guys.
WHY THE ONE STAR?
I implemented a PHP / Laravel Wasabi system, setup multiple scripts, Jobs & Queues to integrate with Wasabi, spent hours writing PHP Classes to integrate them and to find out I couldn't even use them.
#YouDeserveThis - Don't bother replying, I already went with a real CDN that just happens to be cheaper even though you claim to be the cheapest, imagine that.
If your company changes your terminology and removes the words CDN From your website, I'll consider upgrading to 3 stars. Until then, stop spreading lies.
