No customer care at all.

They sent an automated email stating their KYC was unsuccessuful, not specifying anything else. Unsuccessful, period. I was very surprised, never had something like that happened to me before. I asked for details on how to proceed next. Never got an answer from them, they just let me sitting there. When I tried to enter the site again, they said my account was closed. Luckily for me, there are other Voip vendors, so I just opened an account with a different one.

They Charge $75 for a 911 call

Just signed up and had to call 911 for a stolen van, and I was charged $75 to make a 911 call.

This was not disclosed and this shut my business phone line down as I am out of credits. This after Optimum slammed my number, porting out our business lines without authorizing or a request. Took 5 months to get back, loosing hundreds of thousands in revenue. And now this, and I am short on cash to get my numbers restored. So, these guys have effectively shut down my business operations.

just pay, pay, pay

I signed with Voip.ms in august of 2025 and a month later I was still unable to make a single phone call. Working with their e-mail tech support we tried everything and still no service.
I reached my limit and decided to contact another VoIP telephone service provider. Voip.ms would not port out my telephone number stating that my pin number was incorrect. I created my own pin number and made sure that all the information provided to the new service provider was correct.
For the next 4 months the new provider attempted to port my number from Voip.ms and was denied. Each time the request was denied Voip.ms citied incorrect information provided.
I followed the instructions from the Voip.ms FAQ and attempted to close my account and port out my number. Then Voip.ms asked for additional payments before my number would be released.
A service that never worked, months of troubleshooting, months of feigned incorrect information and now requests for additional payment for a service that was never used.

im shocked by the reviews below

im shocked by many of the reviews i see below. i spent 3 hours today doing research and talking to live reps. i am a geek so that helps but the service prices and options are staggeringly diverse and capacious and the service and wiki informationals are thorough and very supportive. i am really appreciative to find this service after fails with providers like textfree and now. voip.ms is super transparent and everything you need is right at your fingertips once your familiarize yourself. a power user's paradise tbh.

Wrongful $75 E911 Charge Followed by Account Suspension

They charged us $75 for an E911 emergency call that was never completed and was even initiated due to their own app issues. Despite assurances from both billing and support teams that they would investigate and consider reimbursement, we heard nothing back after two weeks.

This unjustified charge drove our account balance negative, resulting in suspension and loss of access to our numbers for more than a day. Service was only restored after we paid the full $75 fee.

For any VoIP provider, especially one serving businesses that depend on reliable phone service, this handling of disputed charges is completely unacceptable.

Simple, reliable, friendly & way more affordable than a landline

I was looking for a simple way to transfer my costly landline for a voip line. With Voip.ms, everything was simple via their wiki page & great support. It was only a matter of a few minutes & voilà ! Since then, no problem whatsoever, the peace of mind knowing my service is in good hands with Voip.ms. And to finish, it is way more affordable & user friendly than a landline. I wish you all the same.

Useless customer support

Useless customer support. I sent all information they wanted and ended up being denied service because "my account didn't meet security requirements". Wasted 2 months of time going back and forth. Go use telnyx instead.

Miserable customer support

Miserable customer support. I've had this service for about a year (transferred from (Voipo). Not only have I been able to get this service working, responses from them have taken MONTHS and have not been able to talk to a human being about my issues for 6 months. Their last response ( after 1 week) from my cry for help (it was NOT a suggestion!) was neither helpful nor did it address the issue.

Great experience so far

I am replacing the provider I have used for over a decade and am currently evaluating VOIP.ms. I thought I wouild check reviews here and am shocked. I have been using for 3 days now and had absolutely no problems configuring the service with my YeaLink phones and their softphone. Any questions I had were answered immediately in chat. (Maybe a bot, but support was great! So far... I am very happy to hsve found this service. I will update review should that chnge.

voip.ms is garbage

We have tried to set up voip.ms on-and-off for 5 months now after we were transferred over from Voipo. We finally sat down yesterday to reset my password and it was huge cluster. The link sent to me in my email to resent my password did not copy over the code correctly to the voip.ms website (it omitted all the capital letters). When I tried to type in the correct code, the 'confirmation code' field on the 'reset password' website only accepts 17 characters, but the code they sent me was 19 characters. Then as I tried to log in, I received an 'Error 1015 - you are being rate limited', so we had to wait another hour so our IP address wasn't pinging the website. I was in contact with Customer Service and they insisted by 19 character code was working, but I tried it on Chrome, Edge, and incognito mode. And we tried on both a Mac and Dell... all the same. Such a waste of energy and time, all for a stupid phone number. I am giving up on them - they totally suck.

Par exemple, ils ont soudainement modifié leur protocole de paiement, ce qui signifie que des clients de longue date ne peuvent désormais plus effectuer de paiements sur leurs comptes. Aucun avertissement préalable, aucune flexibilité. Une communication déplorable, un service client indifférent. Vraiment dommage — c’était autrefois un bon produit.

I switched from VOIPo: happy I did!

I switched from VOIPo a few months ago. They were super helpful during the process and I was able to get my numbers ported without issues. I have had 0 issues with them since I started and I am happier with their service compared to what I had before. My only "complain" is that their platform is very old looking and quite hard to know how to use but I was able to do it all after a few tries and it really made it clear when I was done: this is a ROBUST platform and the goal is performance and not fancy dashboards. I would recommend their service to anyone—which I have done already.

after 20 minutes of registering I gave up

too many issues, dont accept complex passwords, block me because of the country i am traveling in, then I have to unlock me via email verification, then I need MFA via email ??? then ID verification doesnt work, live chat is only a useless bot that claims to connect to humans but doesnt even do it.

I give up after 20 minutes and use another service. this is a big waste of time

I have been ported my number to them…

I have been ported my number to them for 90 days and my phone still no dial tone and not working at all. The customer support was horrible, Al chat online suck, customer support only can help with email reply, no phone support. don't waste your time and money.

No refunds after 90 days

Took a bit of playing around with the settings, unfortunately still didn't work for me in the end. On top of that they wouldn't refund my balance as I'd missed the 90 day mark, so I have money left on an account that I'll never use. I wouldn't recommend.

Customer service has become horrible

Customer service has become horrible. I know they had an influx of customers from voipo and that is likely the cause, but their lack of staffing shouldn't have become my problem.
Dealing with a technical problem for several days and the live chat is only AI which keeps repeating a failed solution. Tickets aren't answered within 24 hours.

I has to improve, or I'll have to look for another provider. Changing is a pain, but this lack of support is too.

Worst customer service

Worst customer service. No contact number, no live chat, no help. It's impossible to figure out tech issues with setting up my new account. Wish I never transferred to them, now I'm stuck with no phone and no help and no idea what to do. Do better!!!!!!
