Weeks of chasing, poor communication and still no refund
⭐️☆☆☆☆
Really disappointing experience with VIP Motorsport and I would not use them again.
I originally ordered a Pedders suspension kit because VIP Motorsport were one of the few places I could get the kit I needed at a reasonable price.
The communication problems started almost immediately. When I hadn’t received the order, I chased VIP for an update. I received no proper email confirmation or useful response to those chasers and then, within the following few days, the parcel simply arrived.
I later needed to return a complete unused kit. The internal packaging arrived damaged — both shock absorber boxes were damaged/torn, although the spring boxes were fine. I photographed the damage and the parts remained unused and packaged for return.
I registered the return through VIP Motorsport’s own website on 5 September 2026. Again, I received no useful communication and had to repeatedly chase them by email just to find out how I was supposed to return it and what return number to use.
Eventually they confirmed that Return #4574 was the number I needed and told me to send the parcel back.
I then had to arrange and pay for the return myself. The 17kg parcel cost me £25.66 to send back fully tracked and protected.
Royal Mail collected it on 21 September and it was delivered back to VIP Motorsport. I emailed again on 29 September, attaching proof of delivery and asking them to confirm receipt and advise when my £256.74 refund would be processed.
No acknowledgement. No refund. No reply.
I chased AGAIN on 1 October and am still waiting.
So far this has involved repeated unanswered emails, weeks of chasing, paying £25.66 myself to return the goods, providing proof of delivery and still having no refund or meaningful update.
I have kept a complete paper trail showing my original chasers, the return request, photographs of the damaged packaging, emails, Royal Mail collection, tracking and proof of delivery.
And, just to avoid the standard “please send us your details so we can look into this” response: VIP Motorsport already has all of my details. They have my full name, order #34752, Return #4574, my email address, the complete email chain, Royal Mail tracking number and the proof of delivery I sent them on 29 September. They have everything required to identify this return and deal with it.
The most frustrating part is that this should have been straightforward. Problems happen, but customers should not have to repeatedly chase a company just to get basic information and then chase again for their own money after the goods have been returned.
The lack of communication and the amount of unnecessary hassle has completely put me off using VIP Motorsport again.
If/when the £256.74 refund is finally processed, I will update this review accordingly.
