Everyone from receptionist, Nurse and Dr were great, welcoming, making me feel very comfortable.

I was quite optimistic when beginning treatment with this clinic, as reception were very friendly and professional, as were the colleagues treating me. Although I was kept waiting an extremely long time for my treatment on the day, the clinic was clean and the treatment felt unrushed. I also received a call the following day to check how I was.

However, I have been very disappointed with the aftercare.

In the weeks following my varicose vein treatment, I developed a golf-ball-sized lump at the treatment site. I spent two weeks repeatedly phoning and emailing the clinic because I was extremely worried, but struggled to get any advice. By the time I eventually received a response, I was given an appointment with the doctor a further week later, by which point the lump had reduced.

A year on, I developed a new and significant pain higher up my leg. I contacted the clinic repeatedly over six weeks asking for advice from the doctor, but was repeatedly told that my query had been passed to him without receiving any response. It was only after I made a complaint that I was offered a free appointment, where I was seen promptly, scanned and reassured that the current pain is a separate muscle injury rather than a problem with the treated vein. My vein treatment seems to have been a complete success and I have no pain from the vein now which is a great result.

I do appreciate that they provided this appointment and scan free of charge, and the staff I dealt with were friendly and reassuring. However, I shouldn’t have had to complain in order to receive that level of aftercare.

Given the significant amount I paid for private treatment, I found the difficulty obtaining advice both after the original procedure and again when I developed new pain extremely disappointing. The treatment itself was a positive experience, but the aftercare has fallen well short of what I would have expected from private healthcare.

Had thread vien treatment on my face 3 weeks ago at the Rickmansworth branch and the results already are amazing giving me the confidence to wear no make up which is something I haven’t done in years, The procedure was painless a little red face after but that faded even by the following morning if your thinking about having this done think no more just go and get it done you will not regret i, Thank you to all the staff at the Rickmansworth vine centre your the best 👏🏻👏🏻

This is my second time as a vein centre patient receiving EVLA and foam. I can say that both times they have been great. The team at head office are friendly and helpful. The teams at treatment are reassuring and efficient.
For anyone thinking about getting treatment, do it. Stop procrastinating and waiting for the NHS, get those veins sorted. Your legs will feel lighter and energised again. That throbbing ache gone. Be prepared for bruising and the week in the stockings but that is a small price to pay to have it sorted. It's not pain free but I would absolutely recommend having treatment.

I had my treatment at the Vein Centre in Rickmansworth towards the end of last year where both my legs were treated for varicose veins. I cannot tell you enough how good I feel,my legs feel alive again, the pain in the legs has gone away and the constant heaviness in my legs is no longer there.

I wanted to thank Nung and her team, they were superb throughout the process and I am truly grateful to Nung for giving me the best treatment I could have hoped for, it has changed my life and now I realize how much discomfort I was living with.

If you are having doubts about this surgery (as I did being a male in my late 40s) and you are near Rickmansworth I would highly recommend Nung and her team.

A really nice environment. The receptionist has been very helpful and put me at my ease. Very knowledgeable and supportive.
Originally I had a consultation with a gentleman, Unfortunately I don’t remember his name. He looked disheveled and I honestly think he wasn’t interested in doing anything that day. He was quite dismissive.
I was then referred to another doctor for a second opinion.

The vascular surgeon
(Nung Rudarakanchana)has explained procedures to my satisfaction and I am pleased with her expertise and treatment so far.
The Nurse is friendly and helpful making the whole experience relaxed.

I had a varicose vein on one of my legs and I was not happy when summer came.
I had no pain, but aesthetically I was not happy with it on my leg, it was so visible.
They do an excellent job
staff is very friendly
I am very happy with the result, now I can't wait to enjoy summers again.

The most important thing is that you don't need any recovery after the procedure

I had EVLA and foam sclerotherapy carried out on both legs at the Rickmansworth Clinic. Miss Nung Rudarakanchana, alongside Marianne the nurse practitioner, were exemplary throughout the process. Miss Rudarakanchana was highly professional, friendly and had a calming presence. She explained everything clearly and checked how I was feeling the whole time. I had my follow up appointment today to have further sclerotherapy injections, but already after six weeks the aching and pain from my varicose veins has ceased and the appearance of my legs has dramatically improved.

Fantastic experience at VC Rickmansworth from Nung Rudarakanchana and the charming team. So friendly, warm and welcoming with excellent customer service, treatment and support throughout. Delighted with the results and 100% recommend others having unsightly and uncomfortable veins removed.

I was so impressed by every member of the team - from my first telephone enquiry, to Bella the receptionist who was very welcoming, to Marianne (the assistant) who helped to take my mind off the treatment and finally to the very efficient, knowledgeable and professional expertise of Nung who performed the foam and micro sclerotherapy treatments.
I had loads of thread veins on both legs and after the first treatment, there was a definite improvement so I'm hopeful that having had a subsequent session, most of the thread veins will have faded within the next few months.

I had EVLA on 3 large veins with my follow up appointment today where I had top up sclerotherapy. The whole team were lovely throughout. Miss Rudarakanchana was very knowledgeable and I felt in very safe hands. I am very pleased with the results overall. I had very extensive veins on both legs and they are now minimal, we knew I would need the top up today as the maximum volume was used at my first appointment and not all the veins were treated. Hopefully the top up today will get rid of the remaining visible veins. I would highly recommend her and her team to anyone!!

Just going for my 3rd attempt to remove thread veins in Rickmansworth vein clinic. 1st appointment met team very professional. The procedure was explained and also the fact that it could work first time or may need another appointment. After 5 weeks I found only one little cluster of veins had gone but found I was getting more thread veins appearing around that area. The tights that have to be worn for a week were also drying the skin on my legs.I did contact head office who asked for photos which I provided and told them I had already made and paid a deposit for my second appointment and asked if this was usual. Head office said that I should wait for the six week period to see the results. I was contacted by Rickmansworth clinic and assured when I attended my 2nd appointment it would be investigated. I paid for my second treatment and was asked if I wanted to secure a third appointment and to leave a deposit which I was told if it was not necessary would be refunded. My second treatment has not been successful.where I had a previous thread vein I now have a brown mark and more thread veins appearing.I contacted head office again and received a call from Rickmansworth clinic as they wanted to see the results.i attended but because i had a holiday treatment was postponed. So very upset to be going with more thread veins. I returned from holiday but skin was very flakey I phoned head office to ask if I should attend or cancel I was told attend. Once again nothing was done as I was told that the skin was too dry. I am now going for my 3rd treatment and I am extremely concerned that this treatment will cause even more thread veins. I feel caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.should it work in 6 weeks I will return to let you know in September 25.

I recently had EVLA treatment on both legs. The procedure was not completely pain free but it was bearable. Recovery is going well and now I am waiting for the follow up session. Rickmansworth's team is very professional from start to end and I am very happy with my experience.

I have just completed my follow up appointment at Veincentre Rickmansworth. I had EVLA and sclerotherapy on both legs to resolve ongoing pain and discomfort from my varicose veins. I used Veincentre Rickmansworth as my wife had been very impressed my them when she had her veins treated. I was equally impressed - by the consultant Dr Andrew Wigham, the nurse Marieanne, the centre and the results. I would highly recommend.
