Incredibly cheap, spray painted plastic. Exposed circuit boards inside the lights that are the hallmark of the stuff that doesn't pass Wal Marts quality control for Chinese manufacturing.

Misleading hassle-free returns

The website advertises 60-day hassle-free returns, but that was not my experience.
Returning the item required paying a $160 shipping fee plus a restocking fee, which was not clearly disclosed upfront.
For the price point, the product quality did not meet expectations, and the return process was far from hassle-free.
Overall, the return policy is misleading compared to how it is presented on the website.

Respond to vakkerlight.com:

The options you’re proposing: either keeping the light and switching to another one while paying a $160 shipping fee, or returning it and still paying $160, do not match what you advertise on your website as a hassle-free return.
This is misleading. Based on this, I’m moving forward with filing a complaint against your company with the Better Business Bureau.

Hassle Free returns

Hassle Free returns? BULL! Paid over $700 for a fan and two lights. Not what was advertised to begin with. Fan had a plastic light. They tried to call it acrylic. It was plastic! Then she complains how much they spent to ship it to me. Not my problem. Your website doesn't say your warehouse is in Asia. It says you are in Baltimore. So she offered me 15% partial refund. NEVER AGAIN!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!

Great fixture but I didn't like it

Great fixture but I didn't like it, the color was off. But the worst part is their "easy hassle free return" very false advertising. 6 weeks to get this thing on a slow boat from China. To return it, the shipping was going to be more than what I paid for the fixture. Hopefully I can get something on Facebook. Stay away.

Vakker is Awful on All Levels

Vakker Lighting is just a crappy drop ship company from China. Their product is sub par, poorly designed, and customer service is non existent. They basically told us to go buy new mounting brackets at a hardware store because the ones provided were non functional.

- Shipping was awfully slow (because its drop shipped from China)
- Product build quality is awful (multiple issues with the mounting bracket and LED ballast that makes them unusable)
- Customer service is beyond awful - Don't expect to make any progress here or get a return authorized (despite their website claims)

Just avoid avoid avoid. There are better, more reliable options in the world.

Do NOT Buy from Vakkerlight!

What a horrible experience! After a month of waiting for the light to arrive, I installed it and it was incredibly dim. Like single candle dim. No one in their right mind would make a product this dim except for maybe to use in a home theater. It's a cheap piece of junk from China.

I contacted support about my disappointment and they told me I would have better results if I bought a dimmer. I said I wanted a refund. After all, every page on vakkerlight.com advertises "hassle-free returns." They offered me a 20% refund. I said I noticed that when people wrote bad reviews, they got a FULL refund. They said they will give me a refund except for $70 shipping charge. Now rather than say I needed a dimmer, I was told my light is as bright as it's supposed to be. I'm glad I didn't waste my time buying a dimmer and paying for someone to install it!

"Hassle free returns" is false advertising. These people are dishonest, sell a low quality product, and you will regret buying from them just like I regret it.

EDIT: I took the light off the ceiling and had a closer look. The driver has a max output of 15W. This makes it impossible for the light to be 36K, despite what they keep telling me. They still refuse to issue a full refund.

EDIT 2: Vakkerlight told me the driver to make this light work properly will not fit in the light yet they are still refusing a full refund. I've now been going back and forth with them for 8 days. Worse of all, they asked me to remove this review without actually resolving anything. I disputed the transaction with my credit card company (as you should too if your item was not as advertised and they refuse a refund) and filed a complaint with the FTC since asking me to take down a review in exchange for a refund is against the law.

Disappointed leading to frustrated

Fan arrived in the 11th hour… when we went to install and switch to a shorter down rod, the threading in the main assembly stripped, compromising the stability of the entire fan. While we bought the fan for the solid wood blades (which had scuff marks on one), the metals are clearly cheap and stripped with one use. We also felt the description of the light kit was not fully transparent. Based on the images, it looked like glass, but upon arrival it was stretched fabric with an oriental pattern that you had to really inspect the marketing materials to see. The fabric was in the description but had to be looked for. Not into a hide and seek shopping experience. When we brought our concerns to the help team, they were very responsive, but not very helpful. They even asked us to bring the stripped part to hardware store to see if they could fix the threading! Not worth the time and energy at this point. We’re just not happy with the fan and should be able to return it… but somehow we have to prove this is acceptable. Hoping to move on with life soon.

PLEASE BEWARE

PLEASE BEWARE - I don't know if Vakkerlight is a reputable vendor but VAKKERLIGHTSTORE IS NOT. Make sure you are purchasing your product from the correct vendor! I am giving Vakkerlight a 1 star review so hopefully they see this and pursue action against Vakkerlightstore because they are impersonating their same light fixtures and "selling" them for a cheaper price. Hopefully they are not in cahoots with each other. Please be warned!!!

Absolutely horrible quality. I bought a $2k chandelier that came after 8 weeks and appears cheap and ill made. It won't hold itself together despite me hiring an electrician 4x to try to fix the thing. I finally just took it down for fear of it falling and smashing my family while we ate breakfast. Do NOT order from this company!!! They drop ship straight from china and offer zero customer support. Their site didn't even post my 1-star review. Corrupt.

False advertising - No Returns

The banner for the company’s website advertises “hassle free returns.” This is FALSE ADVERTISING.

Returns are important when ordering a lamp because you can’t be sure of size and color fit until you see it. The company does not allow returns because it drop ships from China. In contrast, Shein also drop ships from China but allows returns. There’s nothing wrong with not allowing returns. There is something wrong with dishonesty. Businesses should be honest to customers. Vakkerlight is a dishonest company. Consumers beware.

Black Pipe Chandelier

Like many others, I read the bad reviews for this brand after I ordered the product. I was worried that it might be a scam. However, I stayed in touch with their customer service and was assured that the product was in transit. I did not mind the wait and understand that the international transit situation or customs can be uncertain. After the product arrived in the US, I received a fast delivery since I asked for it in email. It took 2 days to arrive after it passed customs. The chandelier was in a crate! It was very heavily packed, and everything was fine. I like the product so far. Will see how long it lasts and maybe post another review in future. If you expect a fast delivery, I do not recommend this brand. Buy it on sale when you have the patience to wait.

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!! It is a scam from China. They claim to have an office in Baltimore but Google says it is permanently closed. I ordered lights from them in mid September. They immediately charged my credit card. Then advised the lights were coming from China. Did not arrive for over two months. When I tried to return them they told me I had to return them to China. After a bunch of emails I got most but not all of my money back. They told me to keep the lights (which I no longer wanted). This is not a legitimate business!

Terrible .
I wish had looked up these reviews before ordering it.
The company is in China and they ship out of China. The light bulb took 8 weeks to arrive. It was mentioned the light is warm. But that was a joke. It’s bright and blinding.
And if you want to return, they will charge you 80$ for the shipment.
What a sham

I would give it less that one star

I would give it less that one star. DO NOT order from them. I looked up the company to make sure it was made in the US and saw that it was, but it isn't. The light we ordered came in a box at least 6 weeks from the order date. It wasn't put together, but a box of parts that we had to assemble. Save yourself trouble and order light fixtures elsewhere. There wasn't any instructions in the box of parts. I had to contact the company and that's when they sent a video link.

When you place the order, one expects a fixture ready to install, not a box of parts.

I stand by my review-it would be less than 1 star.

Most orders ship via ocean freight from Asia, which typically takes 4–6 weeks—this is clearly noted at checkout. We are an American company, but many of our lights and components are sourced from Asia to ensure high-quality materials while keeping our products affordable.

For larger or delicate fixtures, we ship them in parts to protect them during transit and reduce the risk of damage. We provide assembly instructions in the package and have sent video tutorials to help make assembly as smooth as possible.

No actual returns, Unprofessional, Cheap product, huge carbon footprint

There actually is no hassle free return. This company effectively does not offer returns. When the light I ordered was too small for the space they told me I would have to pay to ship it back to Asia and they would offer a refund of 15%. Also- it was shipped from China and packed in styrofoam. No installation instructions. Bad experience from the moment I clicked "buy." These lights are not worth it.
