Existing Shaw Academy lifetime customer migration and experience.
I'm an existing lifetime customer of Shaw Academy that now got taken over by Upskillest. My account has been transferred to the new platform according to the emails, but when I try to log in or search for the Upskillest app in play Store there's nothing to be found. I've tried logging in via the Shaw Academy app and successfully viewed two lessons after my login was transferred again at each attempt. This morning I tried the same login method, but nothing is working. I've written emails to the email address provided for migrations in the Upskillest member transfer email for help, but this email address does not exist. I've had nowhere to direct enquiries and no help from Upskillest.
The course materials sound like they were written by AI. The presenters are also just reading the script like AI bots while the slide show is playing. The 30 something minute lesson I was listening to: Content, is accurate but very repetitive and unnecessarily fleshed out by AI. That content would have taken me 5-7min to construe to a class if I were teaching it live.
Being a professional person with a life outside Upskillest to get to, I'd appreciate not wasting time listening to a robotic droning voice repeating concepts over and over that waste my time. Give me the facts and move on. I have already watched the videos on 1.5 speed just to fit them into my day and still the waste of time is irritating because of the repetition.
Please try harder Upskillest.
Shaw Academy had real presenters that gave excellent information in an easy to understand and passionate way for a reasonable price. That was value, and the reason I bought a lifetime membership.
I'd love to have some form of contact - with a real person - to sort out my login and membership issues.
Please help.

The migration usually takes up to 24 hours. So, you might have been able to login to the old platform during the migration process, but since the migration is complete, you can now login to the Upskillist platform using your registered email address.
Regarding your access:
- Your account has indeed been successfully migrated to our new platform, www.upskillist.com.
- You can access your courses and dashboard directly through a web browser on any device (desktop, tablet, or mobile).
- We understand your desire for a dedicated app. Please note that we currently do not have an Upskillist app available in the Play Store. We are actively working on developing our app, and we will notify all users immediately once it goes live. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
We also appreciate your candid feedback on the ChatGPT course materials and presentation style. You are correct in your observation: the content of our ChatGPT courses, such as "ChatGPT for Professionals" and "How to use Chat GPT?" is indeed completely prepared by AI. I am busy doing Stock trading because no forex trading course is offered even though they were Shaw Academy which did offer Forex. Back to the point. The Stock trading assignments are not related to the work in the course. I am only passing the assignments with my general knowledge on Forex trading.

Scam! BEWARE.
Their cancellation page doesn’t work. You will be charged £59 at the end and be hit with a “it’s in our terms” email.
I cancelled four times leading up to the end of the subscription to ensure.
The cancellation page is the typical “continue with cancellation” as they try to trip you up. I made sure to get to the end. I got the usual “sorry to see you go, you still have access to the course you have enrolled” which sadly I never even got further than I wanted in the last month, so literally water down the drain.
You have consumer rights, we have the right for a full refund. But you have to go a very hard way about getting it.
I am contacting O2 about this , as I trusted O2, who were offering it as part of their priority app. I never sign up to anything these days because of companies like upskillist. Just a money grab.
Feel for anyone who had also be scammed

Fraudsters.
Fraudsters, their login page never worked to access the account page to cancel the subscription; it's their way of letting the subscription renew and taking the payment from your pocket.
***They took money from my account even after I cancelled. Now, I don't have access to the courses for the amount they have already taken from me, and the website is asking to reactivate even after they had the payment, and they are not responding to my emails. Try to avoid them.***

First, regarding your difficulty accessing your account and the login page redirecting to a subscription page, it's because your subscription has been cancelled and the payment has been disputed with Paypal.
Regarding the payment taken from your account after you believed you had cancelled: Our records indicate that your free trial was still active and had not been cancelled prior to the renewal date. As per our terms and conditions (Section 6.6), subscriptions automatically renew after the free trial period unless cancelled beforehand. Even when a subscription is cancelled after the billing date, access to all courses typically continues until the end of that billing period.
However, we understand that you subsequently initiated a dispute with PayPal for this payment. Once a chargeback or dispute is raised, the funds become locked with PayPal, and we are no longer able to directly process a refund or manage access to your account from our end. The resolution of the payment and any potential refund will now be handled directly by PayPal through their dispute resolution process. We advise you to follow up with PayPal for further updates on the status of your dispute.
We also apologize if you felt your emails were not being responded to. Please be assured that your case has been actively reviewed and addressed by our support team, as reflected in the communications you received.
We value our users and regret that your experience has been so negative. We hope that PayPal is able to resolve your dispute to your satisfaction.
