Unchained Music is a good service
for those who do not want to pay for distribution.
Although recently they had a (and still kind of have)
review delay, delaying my release for over a month now.
In general they are great.
Although I switched my distributor for speed and comfort reasons.
They are a good start for rising artist.

I'm very pleased with Unchained Music. I am on the free tier, and I got my first release onto Spotify pretty easily. And I've contacted their support a couple of times and they wrote back within a day and were very helpful.

Love how I can manage releases and get marketing tools in one place. The Pro tier’s already helped me get more eyes on my stuff.

Was a bit confused by the royalties setup at first, but once it clicked, it made sense. Pretty clever way of doing things, actually.

This company so called unchained music is total trash. they are liars if you pay for pro account you will never see anything different this people are a disgrace to humanity. There employees are garbage unprofessional. Including Matt! the upload take a year to show. i had to do a chargeback after seeing them do nothing. Save your time and money. Look for a reputable company this people are low low scammers.

I joined UnchainedMusic.io in January and paid for a full year of their so-called premium plan. I submitted a substantial catalog of music, including AI-assisted tracks — which they claimed to support. But the longer I stayed, the clearer it became: this platform is a mess.

Review times were painfully slow. Communication? Nonexistent. I sent multiple emails about uploads, takedowns, and AI policy changes — never got a single reply. What’s worse: after jumping through all their arbitrary hoops, they started rejecting AI-enhanced music entirely without transparency or logic. That wasn’t part of the agreement when I signed up.

Eventually, I pulled everything down — but even that was an ordeal. Their takedown process was glacial, leaving songs lingering on DSPs long after removal requests. And honestly? I’m grateful I never got to the point of earning royalties through them — because now I’m seeing other artists report that Unchained Music is screwing people out of payments, redirecting royalties, or sending them to the wrong accounts.

If you're serious about your music career, do not use UnchainedMusic.io. They're not just incompetent — they’re actively deceptive. Go with LANDR, Ditto, or any other real distributor that communicates and respects artists. UnchainedMusic.io is a failed experiment with shady ethics and zero accountability.

I would agree with other reviewers regarding getting their account terminated on accusations of fraud, coincidentally shortly after you pay for one of their subscriptions. Although it could be related to Spotify bot issues, I don't think it is fair to get blamed as a new artist. I can't control how the public uses my music so I don't understand why they need to close my account for $10 worth of hypothetical fraud? Keep the chum change... It would make much more sense for the business to keep me as a paying customer and work together to figure out what's going on. Not everyone is looking to scam the system. For the record, I did get one pay out before paying for the Core membership, so something is fishy.

UPDATED Response: Thank you for clarifying and will do. What about the other tracks? Such as Dert? I created that myself but it was also flagged. Not sure why? Thanks for the quick response :)

Great, had submitted a 4 star review due to trouble with song submission form. Seems the trouble was possibly with the browser I was using (Chrome). Switched to Edge, and succeeded in submitting my song. Thank you, and my experience has been great thus far. Changed review from 4 to 5 stars.

my royalties has been on transfer pending since last month. thats terrible from you guys. how can a transfer been pending for over 3weeks now

Paid for pro service $14.99. Received free core service. Several attempts to contact have went unresponded Now it's May 10 still waiting to get access to paid level. I went ahead and started releasing music independently

easy interaction on their chat regarding some of my initial questions; prompt replies as well.

Overall amazing distrubution service. One that actually cares about their users. Swift distribution to all platforms and almost any issue can be taken care of. Thank you Unchained

I've used 2 other distibutors in the past. Each had pros and cons. But For me, Unchained has EVERYTHING the other 2 were lacking. I get the great customer service, reasonable yearly pricing for distribution, Extra services like quick AI mastering (which sounds excellent by the way), and a feeling that you are a priority. I would highly recommend.

I am impressed with their customer service. I contacted Unchained Music, letting them know I was having an issue with Apple Music. They fixed the issue for me! My previous music distributor would not have done this for me. Unchained Music went above and beyond.

well, i come across unchained some months ago, so far i have wonderful experience especially with the support team, they are active, quick to responds, they solve your issues easily. fast in releasing song. what they need to improve on is delaying or long waiting payment pattern but they're wonderful, i give them 5 stars. go for unchained music. thank you
