Ill start the same way as numerous other reviews - I WISH I'D READ THE REVIEWS FIRST.
Went with Whitewall expecting a high quality print/framing of a large family get together. When you compare what was submitted (a good quality digital image) where everyone's face was clearly visible to the produced print - so dark some of the faces are indecipherable.
I even ran to original image through google auto correct which resulted in a far higher grade image than Whitewall produced.
I submitted a complaint today, however, reading how they have dealt with other complainants I expect nothing.
I will update should Whitewall resolve the problem........
Horrible Experience Through and Through
I am a professional photographer and spent several weeks working on a professional portfolio book. I then paused for a few weeks while waiting to edit some additional material. However, just as I was about to finalize the last details, the photobook—and all my photographs—were deleted without any notice whatsoever.
Apparently, it is their policy to delete all projects from an account three months after the photographs are uploaded. In my case, this occurred without any clear notice, email, warning, or reminder.
To make matters worse, instead of receiving assistance in this predicament, I was treated rudely and unprofessionally over the phone by a customer service representative.
Another Reprint Needed
Once again, I have had to send a complaint to the Whitewall customer service team. I ordered four Ilford Baryta prints from them and one of the prints had bad blemishes. Whitewall have agreed to reprint this free of charge, but did not explain what the problem was. I have been using this company for the past year, and to be honest, I won't be using them again. Their standard of work, in my opinion, is terrible. I have found they cannot consistently deliver products that don't need some form of reprinting or complaint.

horrific website. Spent hours trying to create a coffee table book on 2 separate occasions, only for it to delete everything and doesn't allow you to log into an account. Appalling.
Extremely Poor Customer Service – Avoid If You Expect Flexibility or Basic Logic
I placed an order with WhiteWall and realised within 30 minutes that I wanted to add frames. Not cancel. Not change the images. I literally wanted to give them more money to add to my order so I didn’t have to pay shipping twice.
I immediately emailed their team (first on a Sunday evening and then multiple times the following morning and afternoon) to make this very clear. Their response? Robotic, inflexible policy quotes and no action. They claimed the order had “already gone into production” (again, just two hours later) and that nothing could be changed. Not even something as straightforward as adding frames to prints already being produced.
Even worse – they informed me that frames can only be ordered with a print (despite me already having two prints in the order!), yet refused to allow me to add them, and then also refused to cancel the order so I could reorder it correctly.
Let’s be clear: I followed their instructions, contacted them within the stated timeframe, and asked for something entirely reasonable. Instead, I received an unhelpful, automated response loop that completely ignored the context and urgency. Then to top it off, I received a shipping confirmation anyway – before they’d even replied to me properly.
Their “solution”? Destroy the items when they arrive and they’ll give me a voucher. Honestly, what kind of wasteful, illogical business model is this?
This has been one of the most frustrating, tone-deaf customer experiences I’ve had in years. I expected better from a premium print company. Clearly, common sense and flexibility are not part of their brand values.
Avoid unless you’re 100% certain you won’t need any adjustments within hours – or, frankly, any decent customer service.

I wish I’d read the reviews before ordering from them. I don’t pay premium prices for OK photos. No refunds, only a credit note.

I had a look at several rival companies and finally went with My Picture but all the others allowed me to delete my account without issue. Dont give them any details unless you will 100% go with them or you will be with them forever!

I'm a pro photographer with 20+ years of experience so needless to say I'm picky with colour reproduction.. I was very underwhelmed by what I received to say the least.. colours were largely flat and lacked punch and the way the book itself was bound, caused the pages to wobble.. at £140 this felt like chucking the money out the window tbh.. They did follow up but life caught up and thinking it is too late to do anything about this now..But a thoroughly unimpressive product. Couldn't recommend Whitewall to any of my photographer friends out there..

Whitewall have offered me a refund if i destroy the poor quality photo book I purchased for £50.90 p they say it’ll take 14 days!! I’ll keep a close eye and update when and if it arrives.
Dealt with printing error with no fuss, replaced straight away.
Ordered a large framed print of some artwork, unfortunately arrived with a small printing defect, took a photo on the issue... they reprinted and sent a new one without any fuss, and didn't even need to send back the faulty one, really good customer service, and what I received was a high quality print, in a quality frame on very good quality paper. Registration errors happen so very impressed with how they dealt with things.

I was about to pay for a photo but thankfully read the reviews. Due to the lack of customer service and washed out colours I’ve changed my mind and will go elsewhere like DS colour labs who are excellent.
Never Again!
I have been a firm advocate of Whitewall for quite some years now, but my latest experience with them has completely changed my opinion. I ordered a coffee table book, (I usually order just fine art prints or acrylics) as a pictorial memoir in Black & White of my various trips to Venice. I was pleased with the simple design, prepared by myself using their software, but realised almost as soon as I had ordered, that I had made a couple of minor text errors. I immediately contacted Whitewall to explain in the hope that they might be able to catch it before it was sent to production. I needn't have bothered, they never even looked at my email until 4 days later and then replied with a very curt and unapologetic email along the lines of "too late, tough luck!" I eventually received my book, complete with the minor errors, and was fairly pleased with it, but it was certainly not up to the standard that I had been used to from Whitewall. More annoying was the ridiculous length of time it took to arrive! I had ordered an item from China around the same time and it arrived almost a week before my book! I know that my Whitewall order came from Germany, but Good Lord! Anyway, I won't be using them again and will look for a photo lab that's actually based here in the UK from now on. Be warned, Whitewall's customer relations are not helpful, and actually downright rude.

Whitewall deleted all my work with no notice. There was no apology nor any attempt to retrieve it. Months of work were wasted.
Disaster - DO NOT waste your time on this !
So I spent days putting together an album for my son and his fiancée. They likewise spent time editing and adding to it.
It was quite a long process as they were also in the process of getting married and arranging a wedding.
The album was saved for a 3 week period and could then apparently be re-saved for a further 3 weeks. A useful email was sent by WhiteWall reminding me it needed re-saving. I duly re-saved it. What I wasn't told was that on the 30th September 21 all 'old' albums were deleted and mine was apparently classed as an old album. There was no email telling me this fact, just an email confirming that my album had been re-saved until the 13th October 21. Apparently it is not recoverable. WHAT A WASTE OF MY LIFE!

Very poor customer service & mediocre image quality
Whitewall delete all your images after printing so there is no way for long-term customers to re-order prints. Image quality is pretty variable any many of the prints are significantly darker and with poorer contrast than on the screen leading to numerous re-prints. Customer service is pretty pointless as they just write to you and tell you that they know better than their customers. UPDATE: Whitewall now desperately trying to have this review removed! Shame I cant post photos of the rubbish quality they shipped! (For Whitewall the order number was 30111002109687)
