Horrible experience!
Our flight was cancelled and rescheduled to next morning with a notice of 24 hours. The other flight was pre-poned, plus when we reached the counter - there was no PNR in the system!

So we had to lose 500+ USD in rebooking. The ground staff had no data of ours in the system which was very infuriating.

UA is at least 20 years behind in the aviation game. For us personally it's an easy decision to not use UA ever again for the next decade.

I would not even use it for free. We had the worst travel. Book the flight, arrived 3 days later. Up to now, I'm still waiting for compensation 9 months later. No reply to my emails. If you have a connecting flight, DO NOT USE UGANDA AIRLINE.

The treatment was very professional warm welcome.

Extra support was offered to me and those around me.

Imagine I was in economy and the treatment felt premium.

I will fly with UGANDA AIRLINES for all destinations they offer as it’s always a unique experience.

First time flying Uganda Airlines and honestly a mixed experience overall. The route from Entebbe to London was straightforward and the price point was reasonable - slightly better value than some competitors which was a bonus.
Unfortunately the flight was let down by a complete lack of in-flight entertainment and no working WiFi, which made the long haul journey pretty tough going, particularly with little ones on board. When you can't even use your phone for downloading content it really does feel like a very long flight; definitely pack a book or download everything offline before you board!

I've previously flown the same route with Emirates and the difference in service was noticeable. Emirates in particular goes above and beyond for families with children, with gifts, activity packs and attentive staff making the journey genuinely enjoyable.

The cabin crew on this flight left something to be desired in terms of professionalism, as I noticed what appeared to be staff laughing amongst themselves in a way that felt directed at passengers, which made me uncomfortable and is something I wouldn't expect from any airline.

The plane was relatively quiet though, so many passengers took advantage and decided to stretch across three seats to relax and sleep! We weren’t able to do this as the flight attendants decided to occupy the empty seats near us, placing their bags and clothing across, telling everyone “those seats are taken” which was bizarre!

Would I fly Uganda Airlines again? Possibly for the convenience and price, but they have some way to go on the overall passenger experience.

Booked return flights from London to Entebbe 6 months before the summer holidays for 5 of us. Both onward and return flights altered by 12+ hours with no explanations and refunds not straightforward. Shocking experience travelling with elderly parents and a child

On 2025-12-23 I booked two flight tickets Entebbe to Lusaka / Zambia.

On 2026-04-21 - by pure coincidence and luck - I discovered that the airline had changed the departure time data of my booking without any information to me. The result: 6 1/2 hours delay. No one answers my complaint.

Ten weeks later, on 2026-06-21 I checked my booking once more and discovered, that in the meantime the airline had canncelled my flight, AGAIN WITHOUT INFORMING ME. Now it looks like that the airline offers an alternative flight via Harare / Zimbabwe that almost doubles the flight duration and shows a price twice as high as my booking. But the booking system gives no possibility to accept or deny or print new tickets. And again, no one answers my second complaint. Up to now I tried four times to find out how to proceed in that chaos, without any response.

To avoid questions from Uganda Airline for more information I hereby publish the booking reference "X9JSYZ" as well as their internal incident number "260627-000002".

Uganda Airline's helpdesk also offers a chat service. Try to use this. You will be always the first one in the line. But apparantly they have not a single agent for this promised service.
Very similar to their promise to respond to any request "within 24 hours".

My husband and our son flew from Heathrow to Entebbe in April 2026 and returned in May 2026. The flight both ways was smooth and on time. The plane was fairly empty so we had lots of space to move around. They staff were lovely and caring and helped with our son.

A Business Class Ticket That Delivered Nothing But Chaos

I have flown with dozens of airlines across the world. Uganda Airlines is, without question, the worst I have ever experienced.

I paid for a business class ticket, London to Harare , a premium fare for a premium service. What I received was an unrelenting sequence of failures.

Before I even flew, Uganda Airlines unilaterally changed my return date to an earlier day, without any regard for my connecting legs. I had to chase them to fix their own mistake.
At check-in for the return: They had already changed the departure time without proper notification. I checked in believing everything was fine, then the flight was delayed by an hour, then cancelled entirely. No real communication. They put us in a hotel and left us largely in the dark.
The next day's "solution" made things worse: Our pickup was two hours late. At the airport, the partner carrier refused to honour our 30kg baggage allowance, a standoff that took over an hour to resolve.

Then came the final insult: I was downgraded from business class because there were no seats available. A seat I had paid a premium price for, simply gone.
And now, five weeks on, I contacted Uganda Airlines about compensation. I have been completely ignored.

This is not a complaint about a free ticket or a minor inconvenience. I paid good money for a service Uganda Airlines failed to deliver at every single stage. Their silence since is telling.

To anyone else this has happened to, do not stay quiet. If we accept this, nothing will ever change. I will not stop until I am properly compensated, and I urge you to do the same!

Flew with Uganda Airlines business class yesterday Lusaka to London Gatwick. We took a chance and were so glad we did. The first leg was on a smaller plane Canada Regional Jet. Seats were comfy and the service was excellent. Food 10 out 10 specially for a short flight. The lounge staff in Uganda were very helpful the selection of food was great too. For the cherry on the cake, the flight from Entebbe was incredible. The staff were so attentive, the quality of champagne was fabulous, the cabin was modern, clean and comfortable. To top it off we saved $3000 against a ticket with Rwandair and Qatar. Very happy. You should definitely give them a try.

Customer service very poor, they made flight changes twice and the last one was very late in the with the first fight arriving over 9 hours after the the connection flight has left. They are operating with travel agents that are swindlers - Travelelink, the airline messed up my flight but I must wait before they can refund my money. I need my money back in full. You messed up the travel plans
