Poor communication

It appears Anava is replying to these reviews much faster than to their customers on the portal. Perhaps get over to the portal and start answering important questions. Mainly mine.

Response times could be better.. BUT

I started on their GLP-1 program in June and I’m already down 32 lbs, but more importantly, I finally feel like myself again. I’ve tried other telehealth providers and never got the level of support or transparency that Anava offers.

Yes, there were a couple delays with pharmacy processing, but their team always kept me updated and made sure I was taken care of every step of the way. I DO agree they can be a bit faster… and When I had questions about side effects and dosing, the nurse practitioner followed up thoughtfully and adjusted my plan without judgment.

Horrendous Customer Service

Horrendous customer service. I placed an order on November 8th and still have no idea where things stand. I received an order confirmation that same day, but have had zero communication since. I’ve contacted customer service multiple times with no response:
November 11 – emailed
November 17 – emailed
November 18 – called
November 19 – emailed
Your website states a 5–7 business day processing timeframe. The lack of communication and clarity around this timeline, paired with the complete lack of response, is simply unacceptable given the amount of money spent on these products.

UPDATE 11/20/25: I was immediately contacted after leaving this review and received a text with a link to their app inviting me to the portal. To clarify, there was no prior invite or link included in the confirmation email, nor any information indicating that an app would be used for communication.

Some of this confusion could have been avoided if expectations and timelines were communicated more clearly from the beginning. I completely understand waiting, but I would have appreciated more transparency and clarity about the process and expected timeframes for both prescription approval as well as filling the the prescription.

As for my prescription, it was approved immediately once invited into the ap and getting connected with a physician.

UPDATE 12/3/25: Have recieved 0 communication or updates on my order since being contacted by Anava since writing this review on the 20th. I have contacted customer service yet again with no response. While I have a friend who has not had these issues and has had success with this site, I do not feel like this is a reputable company.

If communication occurs outside the portal (such as through general email), this can affect response time or processing, though we do our best to monitor all channels.

Didn't respond to multiple attempts to refund. Stopped all communication when asked for a refund. Requested refund because it took way too long.

Edit: I sent multiple emails requesting refund and they didn't respond until I posted this review. Now they say they promptly responded. If you can wait multiple weeks from payment to have your medicine shipped then give Anava a try. Every other online pharmacy ships in one to two days from payment and only takes 2-3 days to receive.

Getting a hold of your nurse or customer support is miserable.

No complaints about the actual product. I was on a compounded tirzepatide and niacinimide 3 month plan.

The initial wait for the medicine was awful. This was a LONG process and I was trying to switch to them from a different provider so I ran out of one medicine waiting for the other. I ordered on August 17th, the doctor reviewed my chart and approved my prescription via chat message on August 19th, it finally shipped on September 3rd and I got it a few days after that.

I had a horrendous time getting in touch with the nurse team. They give you a messaging platform to use, double messaging supposedly resets you in the queue, and the only phone number for thin is an AI virtual agent. I tried messaging them with a question on September 15th, they responded on the 19th apologizing for not responding and said they’d send a nurse to reply soon, but never replied at all. On October 11th I sent them a message with pictures of a full body rash and asked them if the tirzepatide was causing it. They responded on October 13th and told me to take a two week break from it to test if it was caused by the tirzepatide and when I asked if the medicine would still be good to use after the two weeks they never responded AGAIN.

Then on November 9th I asked about refilling my prescription, and sent another message on the 13th and neither have been responded to. I received no renewal email, no responses to my messages, they removed my formula (the one with niacinimide) from their website without any notice, and gave me no tapering plan. There is no one for me to call and no one is replying to my messages on the app. I tried emailing customer service but honestly this company is officially a no for me.

Prescription Fulfillment Timing

The prescription was approved and processed within the standard timeframe provided at the time of your order. We fully understand how delays can be inconvenient, particularly when switching providers, and we’re actively working to continue improving turnaround consistency.

Communication & Messaging Etiquette

Our clinical messaging platform processes conversations in the order they’re received to ensure equitable patient support. When multiple messages are sent close together, it may inadvertently re-order the thread, occasionally causing response delays. That said, we recognize how important timely communication is and we are enhancing our workflow to better support high-volume days.

Formulation Change (Niacinamide to B6)

The compounded tirzepatide plus niacinamide formulation was temporarily paused by our pharmacy partner due to nationwide compounding adjustments. It was replaced with an equivalent B6-based option. Because this is a vitamin-based additive and not an active hormone or controlled pharmaceutical agent, no tapering or transition protocol is required when switching between the two.

Clinical Safety Concerns

Any clinical concerns submitted are always reviewed by licensed providers, and when appropriate, patients are advised under evidence-based guidance. We’re confident that the recommendations provided were clinically appropriate based on the information available at that time.

Simple approval process

Your intake form lets you know if you’re pre approved and after you put in your Rx request/purchase your plan, they finalize your med approval. Mine took like an hour!! Definitely recommend them.

I've had a wonderful experience

I've had a wonderful experience! Kiana is the best! There was an issue with FedEx delivering my package because of an incomplete address. Knowing the importance of keeping the tirzepatide cold, I contacted Anava through the Spruce app. Kiana immediately called the pharmacy and had another package sent. That one arrived overnight as expected. The first package showed up about a week later. The problem was between the pharmacy and the shipper (not Anava), yet Kiana fixed it.

I have been taking the injections for two weeks now. Let's face it: One is taking a chance by buying compounded GLP-1s online. The medication is only good if it is made correctly. My medication is working great. The pharmacy is legit!

The ordering process was quick. I filled out a health questionnaire, and the provider reviewed it within an hour. They use the Spruce app for communication, and it works fabulously. I had several conversations with Kiana through it. I can't express enough about how top-notch the customer is!

All in all, I've had a great experience doing business with Anava. There was a bump in the road initially, but it was fixed immediately. I am so pleased to have found this company, and I now have my son using it. I'm telling everyone about the great prices and outstanding customer service. Don't hesitate to buy from Anava. They will take care of you!
