I had a very disappointing experience with Topmate.

I booked two sessions with experts through the platform and in both cases, the experts did not show up and did not respond to messages. This is completely unacceptable, especially for a paid service.

In another case, after months of no response, the expert finally replied with very generic feedback that added little value and did not justify the cost. The ticket was then closed without proper resolution. They didn’t even wait for my answer.

When I contacted support, they refused to take responsibility and instead asked me to chase the expert myself for a refund. This defeats the purpose of using a platform that is supposed to ensure quality and reliability.

Overall, the platform failed to deliver the service I paid for, and the support experience made it worse.

I would strongly advise others to be cautious before booking paid sessions here.

Their support channel is broken completely. I have tried to contact their team via three channels:
1. Support email (essentially a black box - nothing comes back from there)
2. My relationship manager (I think does not exist because he never replies)
3. Their founder on LinkedIn (he asked me that he'll check, but he has ghosted me as well)

God bless the company. I think they have built a SaaS product, but they forgot to hire humans to run the support channel, if something breaks.

Update: Payment eventually came through nearly 2 weeks after the session. The issue was resolved but the timeline is something to be aware of as a new creator on the platform

I set up my mentorship page on Topmate, delivered a paid session, and two weeks later, still no payment.

Not because of anything I did wrong but because their ID verification process has dragged on with no clear timeline and no real communication.

I did the work, showed up for my client and ensured that they were happy with my service and that should have been enough.

If you're a mentor thinking about using this platform, please anticipate that there may be a delay in terms of logistics as I have experienced for myself

WORST PLATFORM for Service Providers – Hidden Fees & Held Payments

Honestly, this is the worst platform for service providers.

First, do not trust the percentage they claim to take. They take a huge cut from your hard-earned payout—way more than the standard 10%—hiding behind vague "company policies." There is absolutely no transparency regarding their terms and conditions or how their payout structure actually works.

Second, actually getting paid is a nightmare. My payout has not been cleared, and they keep holding the funds for one reason or another. If you value your time and want to get paid what you are owed, I strongly suggest avoiding this platform.

I booked a paid consultation call through the platform. The money was deducted from my account immediately. But when the time came for the call, no consultant showed up at all. I waited, refreshed the page, checked everything and nothing. No call. No message. No explanation.

I then contacted customer support, and they were completely useless. No clear response, no urgency, no ownership of the issue. It felt like talking to a wall. Till now, there is no refund and no proper explanation.

I am extremely disappointed with Topmate.io. I earned $1,571 providing legitimate SEO services on their platform. My payout was promised within 7 days, but it has now been over 30 days and I still haven’t received my money.

Despite submitting all required identity and verification documents three separate times, I kept receiving automated responses asking me to submit the same documents again. No one resolved my issue, and now my account has been blocked, falsely claiming “high-risk activity.”

I have done real work for real clients, and yet Topmate is withholding my money without justification. This has caused me financial loss and extreme frustration.

Warning to others: Avoid using Topmate.io until they fix these payout and account issues. Their support is unhelpful, repetitive, and unprofessional.

It's a scam. Spend $100 and the person never showed up, try the support and they never got back to me

Stole my money! They have taken my money and will not answer emails... It's all fake

terrible experience, they allow people to say whatever on their profile. one person had mock interview written on the profile but just chit chatted about the process (generic stuff any serious interview candidate already knows). other 2 did not even show up to the meeting. dont trust this site. and the customer service is useless, they will not help you get refund for teh money spend, will just say contact teh expert.

It's a fake website. Do not signup or give your money to them. I booked a call and the person was a no show. Didn't receive a refund, their customer support didn't respond and 2 days later my credit card had unauthorized charges. Most likely topmate sold my details to some thrid party hacker.

As a creator I’ve submitted multiple bugs in the platform that are so basic it’s quite suspect. I’ll be moving off the platform or not having it as a priority.

I have been on topmate for last 2 years. I also won award as Top Data Creator and i have total 87000+ bookings.
Topmate gave me an opportunity to make extra income. Their product/ services are topnotch. Team is always approachable and available. Would recommend 5/5

Worst platform when it comes to withdrawing your money as a creator. Withdrawals are never processed within their published SLA of 5-7 working days. You won't get your money unless you send multiple emails to the support team. Avoid this platform as there are better options available.

I would give 0 if I could. They have taken my money and will not answer my support emails yet send a million marketing emails to me from the same address. Do not use this service.

Topmate does not pay the service providers. IT IS A SCAM. It was paid by service seekers and have went unanswered to support emails regarding payment withdrawal. They don't have phone number listed and the physical address is fraud too.

This is absolutely the most incompetent service I have ever seen. Their platform is blocked by every single browser I tried to use to pick my client's call, including my own phone. No link sent by them worked. I was forced to cancel the call because they have no customer service ready to assist you. I will never use this again.

Useless and third class platform. I paid for the one to one session but it didn't happen. It's been more than 1 month there is no response. I emailed them,WhatsApp them. Useless. Please be aware don't spend your money through this platform.and. It's totally trap please don't use it

i had sold some courses on my store but i dont got my money i mailed them , tweet the company the ceo but no response very bad poor, never never use this

Well maybe it has real people. Maybe they are good, maybe they can really help you, some are even doing it for free. But the thing is they hardly arrive on sessions, you prep yourself for a mock, you skip everything else, trying to make your day like a real interview and they dont even attend, or they keep rescheduling it. But its so hard to actually find someone on time, I have tried sending a pre session email communication to bring it to their attention, but apparently all of them read their emails after the session time is over.
