Tom provided an excellent service for me. The report was in-depth and I felt his cost were extremely fair.
He also spoke to me before preparing the report to give me the heads up on some of the issues.

We used Tom Barnes to carry out a survey on our prospective home in the Coventry area which was built around 1950s. We went for a level 2 survey. Tom was brilliant and efficient, contacting me personally to keep me informed. Where I needed clarity on the document the team speedily arranged an appointment to go over those details. This effective communication allowed me to continue on to purchasing my property aware and in a timely manner. They provided no complications so I would happily recommend!

Tom did a Level 2 Homebuyers Survey for me. He was extremely thorough and provided a comprehensive report. It had detailed descriptions of his findings and pictures so you could see exactly what was wrong. The report was easy to understand but a follow on call was also provided in case of any questions. Tom was extremely professional, knowledgeable and punctual and the report was provided within 3 days of the survey. I would not hesitate to recommend Tom and would definitely use him again in the future.

Had a full, level 3 survey done as the house we were purchasing was over 100 years old. Tom called us on the evening of the survey to talk us through the key points and the report was certainly comprehensive with numerous photos to back up the observations made.

Throughout the whole process of using Tom Barnes Surveyors, I found them extremely professional. I was unsure of what level of survey to get and Tom was very honest when he advised that I only needed the Level 2. I received a summary call on the day of the survey. The detailed report was received within 3 days (and it was Bank Holiday Monday) and the portal from beginning to end was very easy to navigate. I have had a few queries following the survey and Tom has been extremely helpful; getting back to me very quickly. Tom and the team are fabulous! From my first enquiry, I was provided with the potential week the appointment was likely to occur to avoid disappointment. Tom gave me a ring after the house had been surveyed to update me regarding any potential issues with the house. I asked for a Level 3 survey, which to my surprise, at the time, also came with an offer for a free drone survey. I obtained a comprehensive report with lots of photographs included. A copy of the report was sent to my solicitor without me having to lift a finger.

Tom and the team are very, very good, extremely responsive and happy to answer our questions before and after the surveys.

We had two surveys done, a RICS help to buy valuation on the home we were selling and a level 3 survey on the home we were buying. We received a phone call on the day of the survey giving us a summary over the phone and just a few days later the full report. It is full of detail and provides the right level of information for us to work out what exactly we should do next. We got lots of extra photos of the home in the report and are aware of stuff we probably would never have been.

Very professional and meticulous with good communication.

The website was easy to use and get a quote quickly. Upon requesting a quote, we got a desktop review of the property alongside the quote. We are based in Birmingham, first time buyers and got a Level 2 Report and Valuation. The quote was very good value, much better than the others in our local area.

The survey and report were very thorough (went into much more detail than we expected for a level 2) and was easy for us to understand and get advice based on. The full report also came back very quickly, within 3 working days.

Our only minor suggestion for improvement would be to use references in the text to make it clearer which photo it is about.

We would highly recommend Tom's services for those buying a house, we'll definitely go back in the future if we move.
