As a woman on this platform, yes, the ladies are buying the credits to communicate with the men. Thisromance has filters allowing them to block personal information such as phone numbers, email addresses, etc. The only way to communicate away from the platform is both parties have to use 5,000 total credits on each other. Both parties are asked to use a different link and submit the completed form requesting they be able to swap personal information. If it turns out that the second party isn't willing to complete the form, the other person is out of luck.

I was writing a reply
I was writing a reply. Spent about ten minutes on it, proper paragraphs, thought it through. Hit send. Got the login screen instead. Session expired. Message gone. There is no draft saving. No 'your session is about to expire' warning. No countdown. Just one moment you're composing, next moment you're staring at the login page with nothing to show for it. I now write anything longer than two sentences in a notes app first and paste it in. Not the workflow I expected to need on a messaging platform.

2. Zero Real Connections: It is structurally impossible to establish a real relationship or encounter; everything is designed through payment gateways and "dark patterns" to drain your money by forcing you to pay for every single message, photo, or video.
3. Explicit Adult Content & Failure to Protect Minors: Far from being a dating site, they operate as commercial platforms for adult and pornographic content under a deceptive facade. Because identity verification is completely non-existent and superficial, any minor can register in seconds and access explicit material without any restriction, flagrantly violating child protection and digital compliance regulations.

My browser sends me a notification
My browser sends me a notification that someone messaged me. The notification says: 'new message.' Just those two words. No name, no preview, nothing. I have to open the site and click through my inbox to figure out who it's from. Every other platform I use shows at minimum the sender's name. This is fixable.
