We stock the fragrances of nearly 130 brands including Hugo Boss, Rabanne, Gucci, Ariana Grande, Mugler and Marc Jacobs both online and across our network of 212 nationwide stores. We also stock the luxury perfume brands Dior, Tom Ford, Viktor & Rolf, Hermès and Maison Margiela. Not only do we have the experience of selling perfumes, we also have the expertise to match. Our staff are trained and developed so that they are the most knowledgeable sales advisors within the perfume industry, we have the largest number of Fragrance Foundation fragrance graduates nationwide and a fragrance finder to guide your online shopping. We have been voted the Fragrance Foundation Online Retailer of the Year for the past 5 years. Online we offer FREE standard delivery on all orders for our VIP members, click and collect in 30 minutes and we've even introduced a “Try Me” option on some of our most popular products where you'll receive a free sample, so if you're choosing a new perfume or aftershave you can smell that before you open your order. Diana at Wakefield Riding is fantastic
I had such a fantastic experience at The Perfume Shop in the Ridings, Wakefield, and it was all thanks to Diana.
From the moment I walked in, she was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive without being pushy. She took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, asked thoughtful questions, and guided me through a range of options with real knowledge and enthusiasm. It’s rare to find someone who strikes that perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness, but Diana absolutely nailed it.
Her product knowledge was seriously impressive — she didn’t just point me toward popular choices, she explained notes, longevity, and even suggested alternatives I wouldn’t have considered, all of which suited me perfectly. You can tell she truly cares about helping customers find the right fragrance rather than just making a sale.
Thanks to her, I left with a fragrance I absolutely love, and the whole experience felt personal and enjoyable rather than rushed.
Diana is a real credit to the Wakefield Ridings branch — outstanding customer service and a genuinely lovely person. I’ll definitely be returning!

I just wanted to give great feedback to Diana at the Wakefield Ridings Centre who I have visited twice in the last month and will be certainly going back. I was originally in boots but the staff did not acknowledge me and were talking amongst themselves when I entered the store but also continued whilst I was there for a good 5 minutes so I thought I would return my custom to the perfume shop as Diana was really helpful last time. This time Diana remembered me from the last visit and started a general conversation which was nice to be welcomed and also remembered. I did purchase more items thanks to the help of Diana.

I had such a lovely experience at the perfume shop in the Ridings, Wakefield! The staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to help me find the perfect scent without being pushy at all. There’s a great range of fragrances to choose from, whether you’re after something classic or a bit more unique.
What really stood out was how knowledgeable the team were—they made great recommendations based on what I liked, and I ended up discovering a new favourite! The shop itself is clean, well-presented, and really welcoming.
I’ll definitely be coming back again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great fragrance and excellent customer service 😊
