I have looked into this and unfortunately this was not us, i am unable to find your name in our system and we have no previous messages from yourself regarding this matter. As you did not purchase from us please could i ask you to delete this review?

We’re sorry this caused concern, but we can reassure you that The Outlet Shop is a legitimate business and certainly not a scam. We’ve served over 46,000 customers without a single case of a customer being charged twice for the same order.

If a card payment fails or doesn’t complete properly, the checkout will return you to the payment screen and ask you to try again. In some cases, particularly where there has been an internet timeout or the payment process has been interrupted, your bank may temporarily show a pending authorisation or pre-authorisation even though the payment itself has not successfully completed.
This is a standard part of card payment processing and is not a second charge. Any unsuccessful authorisation is normally released automatically by the bank.
We completely understand how seeing a pending payment and then being asked to pay again could be confusing, but there was no attempt to charge you twice and nothing misleading or fraudulent taking place.
If you ever have any concerns during checkout, our customer service team is always happy to check the order and payment status before you try again.

We are genuinely disappointed to read this because parts of the review simply aren’t accurate.

The monitor was never advertised as brand new. It was clearly listed as “Like New”, meaning it had been opened or previously used, and our condition grading is clearly explained on our website before purchase.

We are an outlet retailer and sell a mixture of new, open-box, damaged-box and graded items. That is exactly why many of our products are offered at significant discounts compared with buying brand new from a traditional retailer. In this case, the item was around 50% cheaper than the usual new retail price, reflecting the condition it was sold in.

We absolutely agree that the previous readings should have been deleted before the device left us. That shouldn’t have happened, and we’ll be feeding this back directly to our warehouse team so it can be addressed.

However, the suggestion that you ordered a new product and were then sent a used one simply isn’t correct. You ordered a Like New item and received a Like New item.

I also don’t think it’s fair to say our customer service team “fobbed you off" the condition of the item was explained, and a full refund was issued.

We also did not require you to return the product. You received a full refund and were able to keep the item.

We’re always happy to hold our hands up when something has gone wrong, and the stored readings were a mistake that will be addressed. However, we also think it’s important to correct the record where a review gives a different impression of what was actually ordered and how the issue was handled.

We’re really sorry your order arrived later than expected, especially after you’d paid extra for Special Delivery.
We did dispatch the order the same day, but because the parcel was oversized we had to send it with Parcelforce on their next-day service instead.
Unfortunately, Parcelforce then took two days to deliver it, which was really disappointing and outside of our control once the parcel had left us.
We completely understand as you paid extra expecting a faster delivery.
We’ve already refunded the additional shipping charge in full.

We’re sorry this happened and that the courier delay let the experience down.

Although there was a slight delay in our response as your email was received outside of our normal business hours, we were actively trying to source a replacement part that could be delivered as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, we were unable to find one within a reasonable timeframe.
