Chris Bensted is the theory specialist of the driving instructor industry at ‘Theory Test Explained’, providing training for the DVSA theory test focussed on rules, skills, understanding and knowledge. Sessions are packed with strategies and solutions. They include full access to Theory Test Pro and Chris’ support. You can check him out on Instagram and TikTok - TheoryTestExplained The historical approach to theory is 'Revise what you haven't learnt yet'. With pass marks below 50% this doesn't not work and Theory Test Explained is working hard to change this. Chris has consulted for DVSA, James May, Highways England and many more, as well as appearing on Sky, BBC, ITV and KMTV. His unique approaches and techniques are recognised nationally for their creativity and results. He is SEN Provider of the Year 2023 and has been nominated again for 2025. Chris has a broad awareness of dyslexia, autism (ASD), ADHD and many other additional needs.

Pass after phone call
After a quick call I was able to book my theory and pass it on the second time after the call. Before the call I had failed 3 times but since that I managed to pass.

100% recommend!
After several attempts at the theory and missing by 1 mark each time, my son passed after one session with Chris. Valuable advice and understands the challenges of the test for anyone with ADHD. I think Chris actually taught him skills that he will transfer to any future tests and exams. Would thoroughly recommend.

Several pupils - Great results
I’ve referred several pupils to Chris who were struggling with their theory for various reasons and he’s always given them additional tools for it to make sense to them.

Chris is amazing!
Chris was great with my son, who is profoundly deaf and has cochlear implants, Chris came on board and spent many,many weeks and a few failed tests adapting the theory in a way he would understand but kept my son believing in himself that he would pass and eventually he did! Chris was amazing and just what my son needed. Highly recommended
