We’ve had some hardship in the beginning of this month, so we couldn’t pay the full years worth which was 295 and we decided to call them back cause we had the money an they told us we would also be charged an additional reinstallation fee of 125. Saying that supposedly a technician would have to come out and do something. When we already have everything and it hasn’t even been a month since we canceled. They won’t work with you. They recommended we’d find some other company. They couldn’t even waive the reinstallation fee. We don’t need a technician, we have everything already. Everything is brand new, it was working perfectly fine. But since we canceled, they wana throw another fee. Mind you adding up the 295 and the 125 is $35 dollars a month for 12 months, not the low $15.99 they advertise. Sadly, we have to walk away from them because of how they treated us over the phone

My alarm system been malfunction since telus takeover from TMC. waiting at least 2 hours to have an agent answer each time I need support and the alarm system is still not working. I prepaid up to December 2026. no service, no technical support
I emailed the monitoring center to give me the installer code for my alarm since the alarm system was mine from the beginning and I want to install some wireless window contacts. The reply was to call their number after I call the phone machine told to press 1 for Canada press 2 for Usa I press 1 replied call TELUS good bye now I understand why nobody called me back when I test and do false alarm because nobody monitor my alarm.
The Monitoring Centre sold their company to Telus without refunding my credit or closing my existing contract.
They also violated my privacy by selling my information without my consent, I protest to their management and Telus Management policies as they high handed and DO NOT CARE FOR CUSTOMER SENTIMENTS!
SHAME ON TELUS AND THE MONITORING CENTRE!
I want to say big shout out for the company for what they doing, it’s so essential to keep the house alarmed. There are so many guys out there that are looking weirdly in the direction of the house, like you have to be protective of your comfort zone and family, because only god knows what may happen at night and etc. The installation was fast, as well as the price is very cheap. Recommend

I’ve been a loyal customer for **over 20 years**, originally signing up for monitoring service at the advertised **\$9.99/month**—which, ironically, is also their phone number. That price didn’t last long. Within six months, I was being charged **\$300 per year**, without warning or consent to the new rate. When called, I was told that the $9.99 rate is only for new customers and only for the first 6 months.
But the real problems started **recently**, after we received a letter stating that the Monitoring Center had been **taken over by TELUS**.
Since that takeover, the service has gone straight downhill.
Before TELUS got involved, the service was reliable and professional. If the alarm went off—even if we disarmed it within seconds—they would call us **immediately**. Service calls were prompt, coordinated, and followed up on. That level of reliability is now **gone**.
Today was the last straw.
My son accidentally triggered the alarm this morning. I waited **20 minutes**—**no call** came. So I called them myself. The first prompt I heard was:
*"If you’re experiencing an emergency, press 1."*
I pressed 1—and was **put on hold for FIVE MINUTES**, listening to **advertisements** the entire time.
Let me ask you this:
**WHAT IF THIS HAD BEEN A REAL EMERGENCY?**
I’d be sitting there, terrified, listening to marketing fluff while trying to get help. **Five minutes in an emergency could be life or death.**
When someone finally answered, she sounded completely lost and inexperienced. She was based in the U.S. and passed me to someone who sounded like they were in Egypt, who then passed me to **Montreal**—who ultimately told me:
*"That’s not my department. Call back tomorrow—admin is closed today because of Canada Day."*
**Unbelievable.**
So now, instead of trusting the company I’ve paid thousands to over the years, I’m left wondering if my family would be **abandoned in an actual emergency**.
I’m posting this as a warning: if you think you’re still getting the reliable service you signed up for, **think again**.
As soon as I hit "send" on this post, I’ll be shopping for another monitoring service. I suggest others do the same **before they find out the hard way.**

Been a loyal customer paying my bill in full each year for over 15 years. $9.99/month as advertised on their website. This year they say, no it’s going to be $12.95 for me. Why? That’s the lowest rate they say. However, everywhere on their website is plastered $9.99/month. Seems very dishonest to me, especially to a long time customer.

Thanks to Gideon, I have now completely upgraded my 35 year old DSC2500 alarm system with a new Honeywell system with cellular signal monitoring. This all came about as we finally abandoned our Bell Canada fax land line that was also used for alarm monitoring and Fibe 10 internet. Gideon is a real find! He worked on DSC units, such as mine, early in his career so had no trouble completely rewiring my system to accept the new Hoenywell system. He also resolved long term problems I have had with my motion detectors and expanded that part of my system with two wireless detectors. All work was done in a most professional manner and considering everyting he did and the parts he replaced (including 3 hard-wired smoke detectors) the final cost was most reasonable. My only regret is that Gideon will probably have retired by the time I need his assistance again which hopefully won't be before the 10 year replacement of ourr 3 smoke detectors.
Service and repair calls sucks. Always month long wait.

Installer was respectful. The installer was patient and informative.
Team was responsive on the phone to help provide a good overall plan for my home security. The onsite technician arrived within the specified time window and took a tour of the home with me to confirm the equipment plan and make recommendations after seeing the layout. He was fast and efficient while installing everything and made sure I was comfortable with operating the system.

Professional from start to finish. Very experienced tech installer.
I thought the installer was knowledgeable and provided efficient service. The app is much better than I anticipated. I think the pricing was unclear and additional charges (seem) to have been added bringing the price to double the advertised price. Overall, I am happy.

I’ve been waiting since December for parts. They call the day before to confirm the appointment. The day of the appointment they cancel. 1 month isn’t enough time to get parts. This is the third time it’s happened. I will be looking for another alarm company. Very dissatisfied. Such a waste of my time.
